Il protocollo ccPAS
Sara Borgomaneri – Università di Bologna
Brain plasticity
“Repetitive activation of neuronal circuits can induce long-term changes in subsequent responses
generated by synapses in many regions of the brain and such plasticity of synaptic connections is
regarded as a cellular basis for developmental and learning-related changes in the central nervous
system”.
“A total of 914 participants were enrolled across the 32 studies. 13 different brain regions were targeted, including
multiple motor pathways, the visual pathway, frontal areas, and parietal areas (See Fig. 3 for specific locations in each
ccPAS study). 28 of these studies applied ccPAS to healthy participants and two to patients…”
Mentre i partecipanti di
controllo hanno mostrato
un andamento temporale
simile di plasticità nei due
emisferi,
I pazienti schizofrenici
hanno rivelato una
plasticità più tardiva e più
debole nell'emisfero
sinistro rispetto a quello
destro dopo il protocollo
cc-PAS.
