Io amo viaggiare anche se in questa situazione pandemica è molto difficile. Ho fatto diversi viaggi. 2 anni fa
sono andata in Spagna insieme ai miei genitori e insieme abbiamo visitato il sud della Spagna che è chiamato
Andalusia. Abbiamo preso l’aereo e siamo arrivati a Malaga e lì abbiamo affittato una macchina. Abbiamo
visitato 4 città ma quelle che mi hanno colpito di più sono Sevilla e Granada. Il posto di Sevilla che mi ha
colpito di più si chiama Plaza de Espana che è un piazza con una fontana al centro e intorno un canale
percorribile su una barchetta sovrastato da 4 ponti insieme diversi mosaici raffiguranti mappe o eventi
storici. Mentre Granada mi è piaciuta tanto soprattutto per L’Alhambra e il Generalife che sono 2
ville/palazzi con dei giardini meravigliosi. 3 anni fa invece sono andata a visitare Madrid insieme al mio
gruppo classe delle superiori. Anche questa è stata una meravigliosa esperienza soprattutto perché non
avendo potuto fare il camposcuola del quinto anno a causa della pandemia, quello è l’ultimo ricordo di un
tempo trascorso insieme a tutti i miei compagni. Insieme a loro o visitato anche Praga. Di questa città mi
sono piaciuti soprattutto i vari mercatini tuttavia non mi è piaciuta quanto la Spagna. Tutti gli anni vado in
Sicilia perché mia madre viene da un paese chiamato “Mussomeli” vicino Caltanissetta quindi ci vado per
andare a trovare tutti i parenti da parte di mia madre. Le più belle città della Sicilia che ho visitato sono
Cefalù e Taormina. Di Taormina mi sono piaciute soprattutto le strade medioevali e i vari monumenti mentre
di Cefalù mi ha colpito soprattutto il duomo e i bellissimi tramonti sulle spiagge. Viaggiare mi piace perché
mi permette di staccarmi dalla routine quotidiana e godermi bellissimi momenti insieme ai miei amici e
genitori in totale serenità. Mi piace viaggiare in gruppo e non amo viaggiare da sola perché lo considero
anche un momento per conoscere meglio le persone. Per me il viaggio è un momento di relax e
socializzazione e spero di tornare a viaggiare presto.

I love to travel even though it is very difficult in this pandemic situation. I have done
several trips. 2 years ago I went to Spain with my parents and together we visited the
south of Spain which is called Andalusia. We took a plane and arrived in Malaga and
there we rented a car. We visited 4 cities but the cities that impressed me the most
were Sevilla and Granada. The place in Sevilla that I really enjoyed is called Plaza de
Espana which is a square with a fountain in the center and around it a canal that can
be traveled on a boat. Over the canal there are 4 bridges and there are also several
mosaics which represented maps or explained historical events. I liked Granada so
much, especially for the Alhambra and the Generalife that are two villas with
beautiful gardens. 3 years ago I went to Madrid with my high school class group.
This was another wonderful experience, especially because it is the last memory that
I have with all my classmates. With them I also visited Prague. I especially liked the
various markets in this city, but I didn't like it as much as Spain. Every year I go to
Sicily because my mother comes from a town called "Mussomeli" near Caltanissetta
so I go there to visit all the relatives on my mother's side. The most beautiful cities in
Sicily that I have visited are Cefalù and Taormina. What I liked most about Taormina
were the medieval streets and the various monuments, on the other side I really liked
the cathedral and the beautiful sunsets on the beaches of Cefalù. When I go to visit
new places I also like to taste typical dishes even if in most cases I still prefer Italian
food. I like to travel because it allows me to disconnect from the daily routine and
enjoy beautiful moments with my friends and parents in total serenity. I like to travel
in groups and I don't like to travel alone because I consider it a moment to get to
know people better. For me, travel is a time to relax and socialize and I hope to travel
again soon.

I often go with my family, sometimes with my best friends.
What’s your favorite tourist attraction?
That would be Venice city in Italy. I love riding the gondola along the canals while
watching Italian people live their daily lives.
Have you ever been abroad?
Yes, I have. I came to Italy last year for a business trip.
What language do you use when traveling?
English, but sometimes I have to use body language since not all people are good at
English.
What do you usually do during your trip?
I often go sightseeing, take pictures, mingle with the local people and sample the
local cuisine.
What do you do to prepare for your trip?
Before the trip, I search for information about the location, weather, famous tourist
attractions, transportation, local cuisine and prices on the internet.
What do you usually bring when you travel?
I usually pack my suitcase with some necessary items such as clothes, medicine,
food, a map, and a camera.
Do you prefer traveling by car, train or plane?
I prefer planes although it can be a little expensive. Planes are much faster than any
other mode of transport.
Do you prefer traveling alone or joining a guided tour?
I love backpacking with my friends who share the same interests as me.
