UTILIZZO MANUALE d’ISTRUZIONI USE OF THE OPERATOR MANUAL
Questo manuale di istruzioni è destinato al
proprietario e all’utilizzatore dell’apparecchiatura in
oggetto, e va considerato parte della macchina; deve
pertanto essere conservato per futuri riferimenti fino
allo smantellamento finale. Qualora il manuale sia
danneggiato per qualunque motivo, l’utilizzatore della
macchina potrà richiederne copia sostitutiva al
fabbricante.
Il fabbricante si riserva tutti i diritti di modificare il
testo e gli schemi del manuale senza l’obbligo di
aggiornare i manuali precedenti. Il manuale pertanto
rispecchia lo stato della tecnica applicata alla
macchina all’atto della commercializzazione e non
può essere considerato inadeguato solo perché
successivamente aggiornato in base a nuove
esigenze.In caso di cessione dell’apparecchio è
opportuno che l’utente segnali al fabbricante
l’indirizzo del nuovo proprietario per facilitare l’invio di
eventuali integrazioni del manuale al nuovo utente.
Il fabbricante si ritiene sollevato da eventuali
responsabilità per :
a) uso improprio della macchina da parte di
personale non addestrato;
b) uso contrario alla normativa nazionale specifica;
c) installazione non corretta;
d) gravi carenze nella manutenzione prevista;
e) modifiche o interventi non autorizzati;
f) utilizzo di ricambi non originali o non specifici per
il modello;
g) inosservanza totale o parziale delle istruzioni per
l’uso
SMANTELLAMENTO DELLA MACCHINA
Qualora si renda necessario, per qualunque motivo,
procedere allo smantellamento della macchina la
targhetta CE dovrà essere distrutta o annullata.
LIVELLO DI RUMORE AEREO PRODOTTO
Il livello di rumore prodotto è inferiore a 70 dB(A).
MATERIALI E SMALTIMENTO
Questa macchina è costruita con materiali (acciaio,
acciaio inox alluminio, gomma, PVC GLASS) privi di
sostanze tossiche e nocive per l’operatore. Durante la
fase di smaltimento è opportuno smontare la
macchina e separarne i componenti in base al tipo di
materiale.

This operator manual is addressed to the owner and
the user of the aforesaid machine and it must be
considered as a part of the machine itself; it should
be kept for future references up to the final
dismantling.
Should this manual get damaged for any reason, the
machine user could ask for a copy to the
manufacturer.
The manufacturer reserves the right to modify the
manual texts and diagrams, without having to revise
the previous manuals. Therefore, the manual shows
the technical stage of the machine at the time it is
sold and it cannot be considered as inadequate only
because of following revisions made according to
new requirements.
If the machine is sold, the user is advised to inform
the manufacturer of the new proprietor address, in
order to facilitate the dispatch of any supplement of
the manual to the new user.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for
any:
a) incorrect use of the machine by any unskilled
staff;
b) use non-compliant with the specific national
regulations;
c) incorrect installation ;
d) serious lack in the scheduled maintenance;
e) unauthorized modification or operation;
f) use of non-original spare parts or use of spare
parts unsuitable for the model in question;
g) partial or total non-observance of the instructions;
MACHINE DISMANTLING
In case it was necessary to dismantle the machine for
any reason, the CE plate shall be destroyed or
annulled.
LEVEL OF AIR NOISE PRODUCED
The acoustic pressure level is lower than 70 dB(A).
EMPLOYED MATERIALS AND DISMANTLING
This machine is made of non-dangerous materials
(such as stainless steel, steel, aluminium, rubber,
PVC, GLASS), which do not contain any substances
that could by toxic or armful for the operator.
Disassemble the machine before disposal and
separate its components according to the kind of
material.

Questo tipo di macchina non è impiegata
singolarmente ma viene normalmente installata su
impianti di produzione esistenti. Protezioni
antinfortunistiche vanno pertanto realizzate tenendo
conto della posizione di installazione definitiva,
relativamente alle condizioni di accessibilità da parte
di operatori ed altri componenti dell’impianto di
produzione adiacenti a detta macchina. E’ quindi
compito dell’installatore provvedere un
posizionamento corretto, nel rispetto delle norme
vigenti, dotando eventualmente l’apparecchiatura di
ulteriori sistemi di protezione atti a garantire la totale
incolumità degli operatori.
Si ricorda inoltre che :

istruzione, nonché le conoscenze delle relative
norme, prescrizioni, provvedimenti per la prevenzione
degli incidenti e sulle condizioni di servizio, sono stati
autorizzati dal responsabile della sicurezza
dell’impianto ad eseguire qualsiasi necessaria attività
ed in questa essere in grado di riconoscere ed evitare
ogni possibile pericolo.

THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT KNOW
THE FINAL DESTINATION OF THE
MACHINE, AS REGARDS ITS
INSTALLATION.
This type of machine is not used separately, but is
usually installed on already existing production lines.
For this reason, suitable protection devices must be
realized keeping in mind the final position of
installation, according to the accessibility conditions
for the operators and other components of the
production devices adjacent to the machine.
It is therefore the duty of the manufacturer to provide
a correct positioning, in compliance with the
regulations in force, and to equip the machine with
further protection systems, which may guarantee the
operators’ safety.
Furthermore, we remind you that:

NORME GENERALI DI SICUREZZA

Le regole sotto indicate devono essere lette ogni qual volta si deve effettuare un’operazione in
condizioni di completa sicurezza.

NORME DI SICUREZZA

Le norme di sicurezza qui menzionate possono essere riconosciute grazie al segnale:

NORME PER LA PREVENZIONE DEGLI INFORTUNI

La linea descritta in questo manuale é stata realizzata in conformità a quanto indicato nella Direttiva
Comunitaria Macchine 89/392/CEE e sue successive modifiche.

Il responsabile della linea é obbligato a rispettare le direttive CEE e le norme locali sui luoghi di lavoro
per preservare la sicurezza e la salute dell’operatore.

Il responsabile della macchina deve conoscere i dispositivi di sicurezza installati e il loro corretto modo
di utilizzo.

Il responsabile della macchina designa gli operatori che sono autorizzati all’uso e ne decide le relative
competenze e i limiti di intervento. Solo gli operatori designati possono lavorare sulla macchina.

Il responsabile della macchina deve anche informare gli operatori di quanto indicato a continuazione:

• Norme di sicurezza e prevenzione degli infortuni.

• Regole specifiche della macchina.
• Posizione sulla linea dei differenti comandi.
• Posizione sulla linea dei “PULSANTI DI EMERGENZA” per un pronto intervento.
• Ubicazione dei rimanenti punti di pericolo sulla macchina.

Nessun estraneo deve avvicinarsi alla macchina sia quando sta lavorando che quando viene riparata.

I visitatori non devono toccare la linea e non devono azionare i dispositivi di commando.

In tutti i casi l’entrata nella stanza dove avviene la produzione deve essere permessa solo in presenza
di accompagnatori qualificati.

L’operatore, durante il lavoro, deve rimanere davanti al pannello di controllo o comunque in un luogo
dove possa operare in condizioni di assoluta sicurezza.

GENERAL SAFETY STANDARS

The standards listed below shall be read whenever a working, maintenance or other operation
needs to be executed, so that everything can be carried out under absolutely safe conditions.

SAFETY STANDARDS

The safety standards mentioned in the handbook and which involve a dangerous situation, can be
recognized through the symbol:

SAFETY PROTECTION STANDARDS

The machine described in this handbook was manufactured in accordance with the 89/392/EEC
Community Directive on Machinery and with the subsequent changes to the Directive itself.

The person responsible for the machine is obliged to follow the EEC Community Directives and the
local practices, as regards the working environments, on the purpose of the operators’ safety and
health.

The person responsible for the machine is obliged to know all safety devices installed on the machine,
and how to use them in a correct way.

The person responsible for the machine appoints the operators authorized to work with the machine
and establishes their respective tasks and intervention limits.
These operators only can work on the machine.

The person responsible for the machine shall also inform the operators on the following:

• Safety and accident prevention standards.

• Specific standards concerning the machines.
• Location, on the machine, of the several controls.
• Location, on the machine, of the “EMERGENCY PUSH BUTTONS” for a prompt intervention.
• Position, on the machine, of the residual danger points.

Don’t let any unauthorized person to get closed to the machine, neither when it’s working nor when it’s
under repair.

The visitors shall avoid any contact with the machines and shall not operate any control device.

In any case the access to the production rooms shall be permitted only together with qualified guides.

During his job, the operator shall stay in front of the control board, or anyway in a position that leaves
him free to operate in a completely safe condition when he drives the machine.

PRINCIPI di FUNZIONAMENTO FUNCTIONING PRINCIPLES

In picture: the new magnetic stretcher ASF (see the technical enclosure).
It is the a new automatic version of the ASF/7 stretcher.
You can see: wheel A (transport wheels), B (contrast wheels), C (driving wheels) and the direction of
magnetic force.
The wheels B dont touch the wheel C because this one is kept into contact with the wheel A by the adjustable
adhesion due to the magnet.
Under the provisions provided for by the law, FERRARO S.p.A. reserves the property of this drawing and
forbids anybody to copy or disclose it to any third party or competitor, unless previously authorised in writing.

REGOLAZIONE per l’USO

REGOLAZIONE MECCANICA
L’allargatore magnetico ASF è ben regolato
quando, non rimane obbligato, non rimane
spostato da un lato, oppure ha poco gioco fra le
ruote B che lo supportano e le ruote A che
comandano la cinghia. Non è ben regolato anche
quando la cinghia C è troppo tesa o troppo lenta.
Applicando forza con le mani nella direzione P o R
della figura l’allargatore deve spostarsi in avanti di
4-5 mm, e ritornare contro le ruote di comando A
rimanendo diritto.
La cinghia C in questa posizione, deve essere
leggermente tesa.
Se queste condizioni non sono riscontrate
regolare il gioco dell'allargatore tramite la
manopola E , la quale regola la distanza del
magnete.
Se la cinghia è troppo tesa, agire sulla manopola
E.

ADJUSTMENT for USE
A
MECHANICAL REGULATION
The magnetic stretcher ASF is well-adjusted when
it is not constrained or unbalanced on one side, or
when there is little clearance between the wheels
B that support it, and the wheels A that drive the
belts. Again, the stretcher is not well-adjusted
when the belt C is too stretched or too loose.
If you a force with your hands in direction P or R
(see above figure), the stretcher must move
ahead of about 4-5 mm and then return back
against the driving wheels A, remaining straight.
In this position the belt C must be slightly
stretched.
If all these conditions are not met, adjust the
clearance of the stretcher through the knob E
that regulates the magnet distance.
If the belt is too stretched turn the knob E.

NB. Le ruote di contrasto B hanno il compito di
evitare la fuori uscita dell’allargatore dalla sua
posizione (in caso di eccessivo tiro del tessuto).
NB. Pulire con aria compressa gli allargatori, dove
scorre la cinghia, perché durante l’uso della
macchina tendono a formarsi dei grumi pastosi,
che si inseriscono nelle gole delle pulegge
provocando una anomala tensione della cinghia,
provocando l’usura rapida, e creando problemi di
funzionamento
RUOTA ORIENTABILE
(FORNITURA OPZIONALE)
Solo sulla spalla destra e solo per macchine
COMPTEX e per C2E/I-FV con introduzione del
tessuto orizzontale e diagonale, la ruota F in figura
(codice RUO-036) è sostituita dalla RUO-058 e
relativo assieme ASS-26-006 (vedere allegato).
Questo componente è una ruota ad asse
orientabile.
A seconda della direzione di entrata del tessuto e
del suo verso scorrimento, l’orientamento della
ruota permette di modificare la direzione del
tessuto verso destra o sinistra.
NOTA BENE: controllare che il tessuto avvolga
bene la spalla dell’arrotolatore per aderire sulla
ruota e permettere le regolazioni suddette.

VI. The contrast wheels B serve to prevent the
stretcher from going out of its position (when the
fabric is too stretched).
VI. It is very important to clean the stretcher using
compressed air, just where the belt runs, because
while the machine is working, some pasty clots
could form and enter the rims of the pulleys
causing an anomalous strain of the belt, and its
rapid wearing out, so giving rise to working
problems.
ORIENTABLE WHEEL
(OPTIONAL VERSION)
Only for right shoulder and only for COMPTEX
and for C2E/I-FV machines with horizontal and
diagonal fabric introduction, the F wheels in
picture (design code RUO-036) is changed with
RUO-058 and group ASS-26-006 (see technical
enclosure).
This component is a vertical orientable wheel.
For a typical direction of fabric entrance and of it
line of passage, the position of wheel can change
the fabric direction against write or left
VERY IMPORTANT: check that the fabric envelop
well the stretcher shoulder for to adhere on wheels
and to make the up regulations.

TESSUTI di LARGHEZZA RIDOTTA
(FORNITURA OPZIONALE)
Per il finissaggio di tessuti di larghezza ridotta
(220 mm) si possono utilizzare la coppia di spalle
SPA-209/210; in questo caso occorre regolare la
posizione di alcuni componenti sulla piastra del
carrello dell’allargatore.
In particolare spostare i gruppi delle staffe STA-
033 (in figura n.1 sup. e inf.) verso l’esterno della
macchina (muovere di 6 mm) fino a posizionare il
riferimento C sul riferimento A della piastra;
fissare il gruppo del sopporto SOP-212 (in figura
n.2) nella cava E (verso l’esterno della macchina)
per centrare il magnete.

SMALL WIDTH FABRICS
(OPTIONAL VERSION)
For the finishing of small width fabrics (220 mm) it
is possible to use the couple of stretcher
shoulders SPA-209/210; in this case you must
change the position of some pieces on carriage
plate of stretcher.
Exactly to move the groups of straps STA-033 (in
pitcure n.1 up and down) to external of machine
(to move of 6 mm) until to fix the C reference on A
reference of plate; to fix the group of Magnet Bush
support SOP-212 (in pitcure n.2) into quarry E (to
external of machine) for centring the magnet.

VERIFICHE di SICUREZZA
Durante la fase di lavoro verificare che le fotocellule allargatore siano inserite (sul visualizzatore), che le
manopole A siano inserite e che le ruote di contrasto e di sicurezza siano inserite nella posizione più vicina al
braccio mobile dell’allargatore in modo da evitare la fuoriuscita dell’allargatore stesso.
Vedi schema allegato SCH-305-3.

VERIFICA SICUREZZE ALLARGATORE

NB: eseguire le seguenti operazioni senza tessuto incorsato.

Vedi schema allegato SCH-305-9.

1) Ruotare la manopola A in modo da disimpegnare le ruote di contrasto e di sicurezza dell’allargatore in

modo di favorire lo sgancio e la fuoriuscita dell’allargatore stesso.
2) Verificare che le fotocellule B presenza tessuto sull’allargatore siano inserite (sul Visualizzatore LED
acceso )
3) Coprire le fotocellule B .
4) Premere START e mettere in funzione la macchina. ( L’allargatore, e i cilindri della macchina sono in
funzione.)
5) Esercitare una forza F sull’allargatore verso l’interno in direzione C e a questo punto si sente lo stacco
dell’allargatore dall’attrazione dei magneti. A questo punto i finecorsa G devono intervenire fermando
immediatamente la macchina.
(NB. Eseguire queste operazioni prima sul braccio allargatore DESTRO e poi sul braccio SINISTRO).
6) Se il finecorsa G non è intervenuto verificare che non sia rimasto bloccato e/o che non favorisce lo
sblocco .

VERIFICA FINECORSA SICUREZZA ALLARGATORE

Vedere schema allegato SCH-305-8.

1) Ruotare la manopola A in modo da poter togliere l’allargatore.

2) Togliere l’allargatore
3) Allentare il dado di bloccaggio ( 1 ) e la vite ( 2 )
4) Ruotare la manopola A in senso destroso fino a che non si sente il CLICK del finecorsa che viene
premuto (Abilitato.)
5) Ruotare lievemente la manopola A in senso opposto fino a che non si sente nuovamente il CLICK del
finecorsa che si sblocca / Disabilita .
6) Avvitare la vite (2) contro il perno interno della manopola A , quindi serrare il dado di bloccaggio (1)
7) Inserire l’allargatore e ripetere il controllo con macchina in funzione (come descritto nei punti precedenti ).

A controlli effettuati e tutto OK preparare la macchina per il funzionamento :

- Inserire le ruote di contrasto e di sicurezza
- Inserire SEMPRE le fotocellule di presenza tessuto sull’allargatore.

SAFETY CHECKS
In working you must check the insertion of stretcher photocells on visualizer, the insertion of A knobs and that
the contrast wheels and the safety wheels are inserted next to mobil shoulder of stretcher for to spare the exit
of same strechter.
See enclosure SCH-305-3.

CHECK of STRETCHER SAFETY

VERY IMPORTANT: execute the following operations without inserted fabric.

See enclosure SCH-305-9.

1) Turn the A knob for free the contrst wheels and the safety wheels of stretcher for help the detachment
and the exit of same stretcher.
2) Check that the B photocells of fabric precence on stretcher they are on (on visualizer the LED is on)
3) Cover the B photocells .
4) Push START and put on the machine.
(the stretcher and the cylinders of machine they are in function)
5) Push with F force on the stretcher toward the internal side and now you listen the detachement of the
stretcher for the magnetic attraction
(VERY IMPORTANT: follow these operations before on RIGHT stretcher shoulder and after on LEFT
shoulder).
6) If the limit switch didn’t start, you check that the limit switch is not blocked and/or that it obstruct the exit of
the stretcher

CHECK of LIMIT SWITCH SAFETY

See enclosure SCH-305-8.

1) Turn the A knob for help the exit of stretcher.

2) Take off the stretcher shoulder
3) Loosen the block nut and the screw
4) Turn the A knob clockwise till you listen the CLICK of limit switch (the limit switch is ON)
5) Turn little the A knob conterclockwise till you listen more the CLICK (the limit switch is OFF)
6) Screw the screw and the nut (n.2 and n.1 on design SCH-305-8) against the spacer of A knob
7) Insert the stretcher and repeat the check when the machine run

After the check controls prepare the machine for run:

- insert the contrast wheels and the safety wheels
- insert ALWAYS the photocells of fabric precence on stretcher

INFORMATION ON THE MACHINE MAINTENANCE SERVICE

SPARE PARTS REPLACEMENT

When spare parts need to be replaced, only ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS, tested and approved by the
Constructor, shall be used.

Don’t wait for the components to be worn by use; to replace a component at the right moment means
to have the machine and/or the system to be working in a better way and to save money at the same
time, due to the fact that bigger damages can be avoided.

TECHNICAL SERVICE

NOTE:

For any maintenance, repair works etc. only SKILLED PERSONNEL shall be used, otherwise contact
the TECHNICAL SERVICE.

The Company “FERRARO S.p.A.” put at their Customers’ disposal its own TECHNICAL
SERVICE in order to solve any problem concerning the use and maintenance of the machine.

RESERVATION:

The Company “FERRARO S.p.A.” does not guarantee the repair works and is not responsible for
damages that can come out if the above-mentioned works were not carried out by its own personnel.

INTERVENTION REQUESTS

The eventual requests shall be issued after a careful analysis of the defects and of their causes.
