Inside/Outside
dell’edificio.
possa avvicinarsi all’edificio, entrare e muoversi attraverso i
paesaggistici esterni all’edificio.

[…] L’acquaio era pieno fin quasi

Parsons, the wife of a neighbour on the same floor. […] She was a woman of
about thirty, but looking much older. One had the impression that there was
dust in the creases of her face. Winston followed her down the passage. These
amateur repair jobs were an almost daily irritation. Victory Mansions were old
flats, built in 1930 or thereabouts, and were falling to pieces. The plaster flaked
constantly from ceilings and walls, the pipes burst in every hard frost, the roof
leaked whenever there wassnow, the heating system was usually running at
half steam when it was not closed down altogether from motives of economy.
Repairs, except what you could do for yourself, had to be sanctioned by remote
committees which were liable to hold up even the mending of a window-pane
for two years. […] The kitchen sink was full nearly to the brim with filthy
greenish water which smelt worse than ever of cabbage. Winston knelt down

Who are you? I’m El Topo, aren’t I? Well, not a decent fellow, maybe June’s El Topo. What do you do?
I’m on nutritional therapy for serious obesity; I take orders from a dietitian and from a nutritionist and I have to
think up something for a woman psychologist whom I can’t stand. But they didn’t promise miracles, which is what
persuaded me. I ought to lose fifteen or twenty percent of my weight and, in the best case, I would stop at just over
one hundred and ten kilos which isn’t enough. I don’t have the build to be an XXL. So at one hundred and ten, I’d
better start believing in miracles. Why do you do it? Orders from above, and that’s not a lie. I hate fat guys.
My knees are getting noisier all the time and cleaning my teeth seems dangerous for the heart. There’s no life beyond
