L’integrazione alimentare per i soggetti affetti da SCD risulta essere un valido intervento
terapeutico complementare alla terapia medica (che prevede il trapianto di midollo osseo,
trasfusioni croniche di sangue e/o terapia genica) per colmare le carenze nutrizionali causate
dalla patologia.
