Kevin / p. 13

Kevin is a student, and, in this text, he is telling us what he usually does in the mornings. He wakes
up at twenty-five past six a.m. (6:25), and he doesn’t have a lie-in, because it’s Monday and he has
to go to school. Then, he has a shower, and he gets dressed quickly (velocemente). Kevin doesn’t
have time to have breakfast. He just drinks a cup of tea and eats a slice of toast on the bus, then he
runs to catch the bus on time. He has to hand-in (consegnare) a homework and the is worried
(preoccupato) about it.

He gets to school; the bell rings and the lessons start. He has a short break and a snack in the middle
of morning, and he has lunch in the school canteen.

When he gets home, he thinks of music because music is very important for him. He plays the
guitar every day and he play Saturday mornings.

Kevin also plays rugby on Mondays and Thursdays. He says that he does his homework in the
afternoon or in the evening.

On Monday evenings he listens to some music his room, something calm (qualcosa di tranquillo)
and this is his secret to have more energy for the week.

What’s is his secret/Kevin’s secret to have more energy during the week?
On Monday evenings he listens to some music in his room, something calm.

Why his Monday is busy?

Repeat what he does.

Kevin doesn’t sleep eight hours a night, but he sets the alarm for the same time every morning.
His sister doesn’t want to wear her school uniform

Describe your perfect day. Tell me five things you do, or you need to do

I get up at half past eleven, I eat biscuits and I drink an orange juice. At eleven o’clock I go to the
sport centre, and I stay there for an hour. At twelve o’clock I go home for lunch; I eat a piadina
with hamburger, tomatoes, salad and some sauces. After lunch I sleep an hour and then I go with
my friends in the city centre. I do shopping and I buy a lot of clothes and then I go home. At nine ‘o
clock I get dressed for the disco; at half past ten I leave home and I go to the disco with my friends.
At the end of the evening, I go home… this is my perfect day.
