2. USO E MANUTENZIONE - USE & MAINTENANCE
Gentile Cliente, La ringraziamo per l’acquisto
del nostro prodotto. Questo manuale tratta
tutte le informazioni necessarie per l’utilizzo e
la manutenzione generale della torre faro.
La responsabilità del buon funzionamento è
lasciata alla sensibilità dell’operatore.
Prima di installare la macchina e in ogni caso
prima di qualsiasi operazione, leggere
attentamente questo manuale d’istruzione ed
uso. Nel caso in cui quanto riportato non fosse
perfettamente chiaro o comprensibile,

Il presente manuale d’istruzione è parte
integrante della macchina e deve perciò
seguire il ciclo di vita della macchina per 10
anni dalla messa in servizio, anche in caso di
trasferimento della stessa ad un altro
utilizzatore.

La torre faro è stata progettata, costruita e
collaudata per soddisfare le vigenti normative
Europee nel ridurre al minimo i rischi elettrici e
nel rispetto delle vigenti norme.
La GENERAC MOBILE PRODUCTS S.r.l.
declina ogni responsabilità derivante dalla
modifica del prodotto e non esplicitamente
autorizzata per iscritto.
4. CERTIFICATO DI QUALITÀ - QUALITY SYSTEM
A garanzia degli sforzi svolti per mantenere un
elevato standard qualitativo, nei prodotti ed in
tutte le fasi lavorative e gestionali, l’Azienda ha
consentito la certificazione ISO 9001.

DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY WITH CHECK LIST
In allegato al manuale viene fornita la
“Dichiarazione di Conformità”, un documento
che attesta la conformità della macchina in
vostro possesso alle direttive CEE vigenti.
Viene allegata anche la “Scheda di Collaudo”,
all’interno della quale è indicata una serie di
verifiche effettuate al momento del collaudo
della macchina.

7. NORME DI SICUREZZA DA OSSERVARE - SAFETY REGULATIONS
TO OBSERVE
Il costruttore non è responsabile di
eventuali danni a persone e cose,
conseguenti l’inosservanza delle norme di
sicurezza.
7.1 PRIMA DELL’USO DELLA MACCHINA – BEFORE THE USE OF MACHINE
 Si consiglia di indossare indumenti
protettivi, guanti, calzature di sicurezza,
tappi o cuffie per la protezione acustica.
 Si raccomanda la corretta conoscenza del
funzionamento di tutti i comandi della torre
faro.
 Si raccomanda al personale incaricato la
lettura di tutte le avvertenze e pericoli
riportati in questo manuale.
 Predisporre una transenna posta a 2 metri
di distanza attorno alla torre faro per
impedire al personale non autorizzato di
avvicinarsi alla macchina.
 Assicurarsi che la torre faro non sia
alimentata e che non ci siano parti in
movimento.
 Non permettere l’utilizzo della torre faro a
personale non qualificato.
 Leggere attentamente le targhe
segnaletiche di sicurezza applicate sulla
macchina.

The manufacturer is not responsible of
any damage at things or person, in
consequence at the inobservance of
safety norms.
 It is advised to wear protective clothes,
gloves, safety shoes, stoppers for the
acoustics protection.
 It is recommended the correct
acquaintance of operation for all the
commands of the lighting tower.
 It is recommended to the authorised staff
to consultate all warnings and dangers
described into this manual.
 Predispose the barriers placed to 2
meters of distance around the lighting
tower in order to prevent to the staff non-
authorized to approach itself the machine.
 Ensure yourself that the lighting tower is
not feeded and that there are not any
parts in movements.
 It is allowed the use of the lighting tower
only at a qualified staff.
 Read the signs plates applied on the
machine.

7.2 MESSA A TERRA – EARTHING ARRANGEMENTS
7.2.1 Requisiti - Requirements
L’impianto di messa a terra deve essere
eseguito in ottemperanza alla normativa
vigente nel sito di utilizzo dell’unità. E’
responsabilità dell’utilizzatore determinare i
requisiti e/o l’applicabilità della normativa
locale che disciplina gli impianti di terra.
L’impianto di messa a terra deve essere
controllato e / o eseguito da personale
specializzato ed esperto in conformità alle
normative locali.
L’impianto di terra deve essere di costruzione
robusta e mantenuto integro per garantire il
suo corretto funzionamento e la salute, la
sicurezza del personale e dell'ambiente
circostante.
Sull'unità è prevista la protezione
supplementare tramite interruttore
differenziale (RCD); uno dei due poli del
generatore monofase, unitamente alle parti
metalliche che costituiscono la macchina,
sono collegati al morsetto di terra principale
(MET).
Requisito valido secondo normativa BS
7430:2011:
L’impianto di terra in UK deve essere eseguito
seguendo le prescrizioni della norma BS
7430:2011. Il collegamento a terra deve
essere eseguito quando possibile, ma non è
prescritto per generatori di potenza nominale
inferiore a 10kW.

tramite il conduttore di terra.

Earthing arrangement shall be carry out
accordingly to site current regulations. It is
user’s responsibility to determinate the
requirements and/or applicability of local or
national code which governs earthing
practice.
Earthing arrangement setup shall be
supervise and/or carried out by skilled
personnel, according to local regulations.
Earthing arrangement shall be of the highest
integrity and of strong construction to ensure
that it remains safe and will not endanger the
health and safety of operator or their
surroundings.
The unit provides supplementary protection
through the Residual Current Device (RCD);
one pole of the single-phase generator, and
the relevant metallic enclosures are
connected electrically-mechanically to the
Main Earth Terminal (MET).
Requirement in compliance to BS
7430:2011:
For earthing arrangements within UK please,
refer to BS 7430:2011 Code of practice.
Earthing should be executed whenever
practicable, but is not required for generating
sets ratings below 10 kW.

recommends to connect the MET (main earth
terminal), installed on the unit, to true earth
by means of earthing conductor.
Connections to true earth examples; the
followings are examples of feasible methods,
using:
(1) an earth rod driven to a proper depth;

(5) una struttura metallica adatta di cui si ha
certezza sia messa a terra.
Quando praticabile, collegare il morsetto di
principale terra, per mezzo del conduttore di
terra, al sistema di terra.
Il conduttore di terra deve essere si sezione
non inferiore a 6 mm2.
La resistenza di tale conduttore, comprese le
resistenze di contatto, non deve essere
superiore a 0,2 Ohm.
Le condizioni del conduttore di messa a terra
deve essere regolarmente esaminato da
personale competente. Danni e/o interruzione
del conduttore di terra potrebbe portare a
situazioni di pericolo.
7.2.2 Note – Commentary
Come richiesto delle norme IEC 60364, HD
60364, il conduttore di terra è stato
dimensionato (come i conduttori di protezione)
come da tabella sotto.
Dispositivi differenziali (RCD) possono essere
utilizzati per 2 scopi sull'unità, vale a dire:
(1) per monitoraggio dell'isolamento del
sistema che ha una struttura metallica in cui
sono contenuti i conduttori (isolati) del circuito;

(2) the earth terminal of an adjacent fixed
installation;
(3) permanent structural steelwork;
(4) exposed reinforcement bars in concrete
foundations or structures;
(5) a suitable metallic structure known to be
earthed.
Connection of MET to true earth shall be
made, by means of earthing conductor, to the
site system means of earthing
The earthing conductor shall be not less than
6 square millimetre cross section.
The resistance of such a conductor, including
contact resistance, shall not exceed 0,2
Ohms.
An instructed/informed person shall regularly
inspect the earthing conductor integrity.
Damage/interruption of earthing conductor
could lead to danger.
As required by IEC 60364, HD 60364, the
earthing conductor sizing has been
suggested taking as reference the
prescriptions for protective conductors, see
table below.
Residual current devices (RCD) on the unit
may be used for 2 purposes, namely:
(1) for insulation-monitoring of the system
which has complete metallic enclosure of
circuit conductors;

(2) per la protezione delle persone in caso di
contatto tra un conduttore attivo e terra o
struttura metallica.
Al punto (2) sopra, richiede che il sistema
elettrico sia riferito a terra per consentire un
RCD per operare correttamente sul primo
guasto a terra vera.
Si raccomanda una resistenza di terra, ove
possibile, non deve superare i 200 Ω. Questo
assicura un margine cautelativo, tuttavia
elettrodi a barra con la più elevata profondità
praticabile dovrebbe essere preferita per
assicurare elevata sicurezza dell’installazione.
Per esempio, la resistenza di un dispersore a
picchetto può essere calcolata con la
seguente formula:

ρ è la resistività del terreno, in ohm metro
(Ωm);
L è la lunghezza del dispersore, in metri (m);
d è il diametro del dispersore, in metri (m).
Quando la resistività del suolo non è
misurabile fare riferimento alla seguente
tabella.

(2) for user protection in case of contact
between a live conductor and true earth or
metallic enclosure.
Application (2) above, demands that the
electrical system is referenced to true earth
to enable an RCD to operate correctly on the
first fault to true earth.
It is recommended that an earth electrode
resistance, where practicable, should not
exceed 200 Ω. This is a general advice but
take into account that, for rod electrodes, it
is vertical depth that should be encouraged
to enhance safety of installation.
As reference, the resistance of a rod Rr in
ohms (Ω) may be calculated from the
formula:
where:
ρ is the resistivity of soil, in ohm meters
(Ωm);
L is the length of the electrode, in meters
(m);
d is the diameter of the rod, in meters (m).
When soil measurements is not practicable,
refer to table below.

7.3 DURANTE LA MANUTENZIONE - DURING THE MAINTENANCE
 Spegnere sempre la macchina prima di
ogni intervento di manutenzione.
 La manutenzione straordinaria deve
sempre essere effettuata da personale
autorizzato.
 Prima di effettuare ogni intervento di
sostituzione o manutenzione dei proiettori,
togliere l’alimentazione ed attendere il
raffreddamento delle lampade.
 Utilizzare sempre dispositivi di protezione
adeguati.
 Il liquido della batteria contiene acido
solforico estremamente corrosivo e which is extremely corrosive and harmful
dannoso per la pelle. Utilizzare sempre
guanti protettivi ed usare estrema cautela
nel versare il liquido facendo attenzione a
non farlo traboccare.
 Il contatto con l’olio del motore può essere
dannoso alla pelle. Indossare dei guanti
prima di usare l’olio. Se ci si sporca d’olio
lavarsi immediatamente.
7.4 DURANTE LA FASE DI TRASPORTO – DURING THE TRANSPORT
 Utilizzare ESCLUSIVAMENTE i punti di
sollevamento predisposti, ove presenti.
 Il gancio di sollevamento, ove presente,
deve essere usato esclusivamente per il
sollevamento temporaneo e non come
sospensione aerea delle macchine per un
lungo tempo.
 Il costruttore non è responsabile per
eventuali danni causati da negligenza
durante le operazioni di trasporto.

 Turn always off the machine before any
maintenance operation.
 Extraordinary maintenance must always
be carried out by authorized staff.
 Before any maintenance operation on the
floodlights, disconnect the feeding and
wait the cooling of the lamps.
 Use always dispositive of protection
adapted to you.
 The fluid of battery contains sulphuric acid
to the skin. Always wear protective gloves
and be extremely careful to avoid spillage
when pouring the acid.

8.4 PERICOLO DI INCENDIO O ESPLOSIONE DURANTE LE OPERAZIONI DI
RIFORNIMENTO - WARNING OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION DURING OPERATIONS OF
REFUELLING
 Spegnere sempre il motore prima di
effettuare il rifornimento di carburante.
 Non fumare durante i rifornimenti.
 L’operazione di rifornimento deve essere
effettuata in modo da non far debordare il
carburante dal serbatoio.
 In caso di fuoriuscita di carburante dal
serbatoio, asciugare e pulire le parti.
 Controllare che non vi siano perdite di
carburante e che le tubazioni siano integre.
8.5 RUMORE - NOISE
 Utilizzare tappi o cuffie per la protezione
acustica da forti rumori.
8.6 GAS DI SCARICO - EXHAUST GASES
 I gas di scarico sono nocivi per la salute.
Mantenere una certa distanza dalla zona di
emissione.
 Qualora il gruppo elettrogeno della torre
faro venisse utilizzato in luoghi chiusi,
accertarsi che i gas di scarico si possano
disperdere senza impedimenti
nell’ambiente.

9. DESCRIZIONE GENERALE DELLA MACCHINA - GENERAL
DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
La torre faro VT-evo è una torre
d’illuminazione disegnata tenendo in
considerazione 3 caratteristiche fondamentali:
 dimensioni abbastanza contenute
 alta affidabilità
 qualità dei materiali costruttivi
I materiali costruttivi utilizzati attribuiscono non
solo un’estrema robustezza alla torre, ma
rappresentano anche una garanzia di
longevità, in quanto sono inattaccabili dai
fenomeni di deterioramento quali la ruggine.
La possibilità di abbassare la torre è un fattore
fondamentale nell’ambito della
movimentazione e dei trasporti. La torre faro
può essere messa in opera e utilizzata da un
solo operatore con la massima sicurezza. I
proiettori utilizzati sulla torre faro, completi di
lampada, oltre ad essere forniti dalle migliori
case produttrici sono cablati a regola d’arte ed
accuratamente controllati.
10. PERIODO DI INATTIVITÀ - PERIOD OF INACTIVITY
Qualora si debba fermare la macchina per un
lungo periodo di tempo (maggiore di un anno)
è consigliato lasciare olio motore e carburante
all’interno del motore onde evitare ossidazioni;
scollegare anche i cavi della batteria. Alla
ripresa in esercizio i liquidi dovranno essere
sostituiti, la batteria ripristinata e dovranno
essere ispezionate le cinghie, le tubature, i
giunti in gomma e la loro tenuta e infine dovrà
essere effettuato un sopralluogo visivo dei
cablaggi elettrici.

The lighting tower VT-evo has been studied
taking in consideration 3 fundamental
characteristics:
 enough contained dimensions
 high reliability
 quality of the constructive materials
The constructive materials in uses guarantee
not only an extreme strength of the tower, but
they are also synonymous of longevity, in fact
these materials are protected against
oxidation like rust. The possibility to lowering
the tower is the fundamental factors in the
field of the movement and the transports. The
tower can be installed and used by a single
operator in the maximum safety. The
floodlights used on tower, complete with
lamps, are made from the best producers in
the world and carefully checked.
If the machine has to be stopped for a long
period (more than one year), we suggest to
keep the oil and fuel inside of engine, in order
to avoid oxidizing effects; we suggest to
disconnect also the battery cables. When the
machine turns to work again, the liquids must
be replaced, the battery must be charged; the
belts and their state the pipes, the rubber
hoses and their resistance must be checked
and a visual inspections of the electric
connections must be done.

11.7 CARATTERISTICHE DELL’ARGANO - SPECIFICATION OF THE WINCH
 ATTENZIONE!!! Il carico massimo
dell’argano è di 900 kg. E’ importante
che l’intera struttura della torre faro non
venga modificata per non
comprometterne la stabilità e la
funzionalità dell’argano.
 L’argano è dotato di un freno automatico a
pressione con dispositivo antisrotolamento
che consente un facile e uniforme
sollevamento e abbassamento del palo
telescopico. Il riduttore è alloggiato al riparo
da ogni impurità e la nuova copertura posta
lateralmente elimina gli spigoli e protegge
dalla polvere.
 Un nuovo procedimento di costruzione con
l’ausilio di macchine CNC assicura la
massima qualità e robustezza, grazie
anche all'utilizzo di nuovi pregiati materiali;
la vita dell'argano è maggiore grazie
all'irrobustimento del telaio.
 La protezione della superficie esterna è
stata migliorata grazie ad una nuova
galvanizzazione di colore giallo.
 ATTENZIONE!!! È importante che, se per
qualsiasi motivo vi fossero parti

 A new procedure of construction with the
aid of CNC Machines assures the
maximum quality and robustness, thanks
also to the use of new valuable materials;
the life of the winch is increased thanks to
the strengthening of the frame.
 The protection of the external surface has
been improved thanks to a new yellow
coloured galvanization.

any problems there were imperfections
proceed to the raising of the mast until

the steel cable winds correctly up on

Air heater signal lamp
Some engines may be equipped with an inlet
air heater. Heater inlet air helps the engine to
start easier in cold weather. During the
engine starting sequence the air heather is
activated for several seconds. If the engine is
equipped with an air inlet heater timer, after
the heat indicator (39) goes out, the engine
can be started.
If no timer have been provided on your
equipment, keep the pre-heater energized for
at least 15 seconds before to attempt the
start.

Collegare la batteria con i cavi già predisposti

Il liquido della batteria contiene acido solforico,

usare estrema cautela nel versare il liquido

Estrarre il tubo dal telaio della macchina
inserendolo in una bacinella. Togliere il tappo
(38) e svuotare l’olio.
Lo scarico dell’olio è più facile e completo se

Il contatto con l’olio del motore può essere
dannoso alla pelle. Indossare dei guanti prima
di usare l’olio. Se ci si sporca d’olio lavare la
parte immediatamente.
ATTENZIONE: terminato l’utilizzo bloccare

tubo nella posizione iniziale.

Per trasportare la torre faro esistono
diverse possibilità.
E’ possibile sollevare la struttura meditante
carrello elevatore, servendosi delle
“tasche” laterali previste per l’inserimento
delle forche del muletto.
E’ possibile sollevare inoltre la struttura
utilizzando il gancio di sollevamento
centrale posizionato sulla carenatura.
ATTENZIONE!!! La macchina deve essere
sollevata da terra solo per operazioni di
trasporto. Non lasciare MAI la macchina
sospesa in aria.
Nel posizionare la torre fare attenzione alla
regolazione de stabilizzatori.

There are many options to move lighting
tower.
It is possible to raise the structure
through a forklift, using the lateral pockets
prearranged for the insertion of the forks.
It is also possible to raise the structure
through the side holes positioned on the
central lifting point placed on the canopy.
WARNING!!! The machine must be
raised from earth only for transport
operations. NEVER leave the machine
suspended in air.
When positioning the lighting tower, be
sure to adjust the stabilizers.
 Apply wheel chocks to prevent
movement of the trailer.

 oThat the locking mechanism is
visually confirmed as in the fully

the trailer from the towing vehicle.
 oPay particular attention to ground
clearances if the towing vehicle is
laden with other equipment or
materials, or if the ground level is
uneven.
 oMake sure that you position your feet
clear of the trailer framework and
towing assemblies whilst the unit is
being hitched or unhitched.

14.4 CONTROLLI PRELIMINARI - PRELIMINAR CHECKS
All’acquisto la macchina è fornita di olio
motore.
Prima di ogni successivo utilizzo, verificare i
relativi livelli.
Controllare che gli interruttori termici posti sul
quadro frontale siano in posizione “OFF”.
Assicurarsi che nessun carico sia collegato
alla presa 230÷240 V 16 A (17).
Assicurarsi che il pulsante stop d’emergenza
(18) sia riarmato. Nel caso non lo fosse girare
la manopola in senso orario.
14.5 AVVIAMENTO DEL MOTORE - ENGINE STARTING
Posizionare la chiave d’avviamento (29) sul
primo scatto, attendere qualche secondo e
premere la chiave portandola in posizione
“ON” per avviare il motore.
Nota: Se il motore non si avvia attendere circa
10 secondi e ripetere l’operazione, portando
prima la chiave in posizione 0 “OFF”.
Lasciare il motore in funzione per circa 5
minuti in modo da consentire un regolare
riscaldamento.
Il motore è tarato al giusto regime dei giri
pertanto non è necessario effettuare nessuna
regolazione.
Per ulteriori informazioni fare riferimento al
manuale del motore.
14.6 RODAGGIO - RUNNING IN
Per le prime 50 ore di funzionamento della
macchina, per consentire un buon rodaggio del
motore, non prelevare oltre il 70% della
potenza massima indicata nelle specifiche
tecniche.

At the moment of the purchase, the machine
is supplied of engine oil.
Before every next use, verify the relative
levels.
Check that the circuit breakers placed on the
frontal board are in “OFF” position.
Make sure that any load is connected to the
socket 230÷240 V 16 A (17)
Make sure that the emergency stop button
(18) is rearmed. If it doesn’t, turn the grip
handle in clockwise direction.
Position the starting key (29) on the first step,
wait few second and press the key “ON”
position to engine start.
Note: If the engine falls to start, turn the key
to the 0 “OFF” position and wait 10 seconds
before operating the starter again.
Let the engine to run for about 5 minutes to
warm it up.
The engine is set at right speed regime
therefore it is not necessary to make any
adjustment.
For more information refer to the use and
maintenance of the engine.
For the first 50 hours of operation of the
machine do not employ more than 70% of the
maximum power indicated in the technical
specifications. In this way, a proper engine
running in is guaranteed.

14.7 IMPIEGO DEL GRUPPO - USE OF MACHINE
Interruttore magnetotermico differenziale.
La macchina è dotata di un interruttore
magnetotermico differenziale (21) in grado di
assicurare la protezione dell’utente in caso di
contatto accidentale con parti in tensione o di
malfunzionamento del sistema d’isolamento
dei dispositivi collegati.
Attenzione!
Per consentire il corretto funzionamento
dell’interruttore magnetotermico differenziale e
il rispetto della normativa vigente, la macchina
deve essere collegata a terra. L’impianto di
terra deve essere conforme a quanto prescritto
nei capitoli 14.3 e 7.2.
Verificare periodicamente il funzionamento
dell’interruttore magnetotermico differenziale
(21), premendo il pulsante 0 “TEST” posto sul
frontale.
È possibile utilizzare contemporaneamente la
torre faro e prelevare corrente dalla presa
monofase (17). Si raccomanda di non
superare i dati di targa.
Collegarsi al generatore utilizzando spine
adatte alle prese e cavi in ottime condizioni.
La sezione minima dei cavi d’allacciamento
deve essere scelta in base alla tensione, alla
potenza installata ed alla distanza tra sorgente
ed utilizzo.
Il contaore (23) indica le ore di funzionamento
del motore in quanto funziona esclusivamente
all’accensione del motore, può essere un
riferimento per la periodica manutenzione
ordinaria e straordinaria della macchina.

RCBO combined RCD/MCB device.
The product is equipped with an RCD/MCB
(21) which guarantees user protection
against electric shocks due to unwanted
contact with live parts of the circuit or
insulation fault.
Warning!
In order to guarantee RCD/MCB proper
operation, the lighting tower shall be
connected to the true earth. Earthing shall be
carry out as described in 14.3 and 7.2
chapters.
Verify periodically the operation of the
RCD/MCB (21), by pressing the “TEST” 0
button placed on the front panel.
It is possible, at the same time, to use the
lighting tower and to draw current from the
single phase socket (17). It is recommended
not to exceed the plate data.
Connect up to the generator using plugs that
fit the sockets and cables in excellent
condition.
The minimal section of connection cables
must be choose in relationship on the
tension, to the installed power and the
distance between source and uses.
The hour meter (23) exclusively indicates the
hours of working of the engine because it
only works with the engine in motion. It could
be a reference for the periodic ordinary and
extraordinary maintenance of the machine.

14.8 ALLARMI GRUPPO ELETTROGENO - GENERATOR ALARMS
Il gruppo elettrogeno è dotato di una
protezione (DAS) che spegne la macchina
dopo circa 20 secondi dal rilevamento di un
guasto, segnalato visivamente dalle spie
accese poste sul quadro di comando. Ad
inconveniente eliminato un nuovo avviamento
azzererà la memoria del dispositivo.
Bassa pressione olio.
Quando la pressione dell’olio nel motore è
troppo bassa, si accende la spia (26).
Verificare il livello dell’olio motore.
Non carica della batteria.
Quando l’alternatore non carica la batteria
oppure la batteria non tiene la carica, si
accende la spia (27). Verificare l’alternatore e
controllare la batteria.
Riserva carburante.
Quando la sonda del livello carburante rileva la
riserva, il “DAS” spegne la macchina.
Verificare periodicamente il livello carburante
dallo strumento (22) e riempire il serbatoio
carburante quando il livello è basso.

The generating set is equipped by a
protection (DAS) that turn off the machine
after 20 seconds from the survey of a failure,
signalled visually by the signal lamps placed
on the command panel. When the trouble is
removed, a new starting will clear the
memory of the DAS.
Low oil pressure.
When the engine oil pressure is too low, the
light comes on (26). Check the engine oil
level.
No battery charge.
When the alternator don’t not charge the
battery or the battery does not hold loads, the
light comes on (27). Check the alternator and
the battery.
Low fuel level.
When fuel level probe, the “DAS” switch off
the machine. Periodically verify the fuel level
by the monitor (22). Fill up the tank with the
fuel level is low.

14.9 AVVERTENZE - REMARKS
È importante che l’operatore sia sempre
attento ad ogni eventuale inconveniente
dovuto ad usura oppure a guasto.
Occorre che l’utilizzo della torre faro sia
effettuato da personale esperto ed attento ad
eventuali inconvenienti strutturali, vista la mole
della struttura.
Si consiglia di effettuare sempre un controllo
visivo generale ad ogni utilizzo, soprattutto a
quelle parti sempre in movimento e soggette
ad usura.
L’utilizzatore esperto non deve permettere a
nessuno di sostare nelle vicinanze della torre
faro quando è in funzione.
Lasciare sempre ampio spazio attorno alla
torre faro.
Si raccomanda di posizionare la base il più
possibile in piano, per facilitare la regolazione
degli stabilizzatori laterali (fare riferimento alle
livelle ad aria poste sul telaio (Fig. 1).

Si raccomanda inoltre di posizionare la
struttura in un luogo stabile, verificando la
consistenza del terreno per permettere un
sicuro appoggio agli stabilizzatori.
Tirare il freno a mano se la torre faro è
provvista di carrello per il traino.

Per il collegamento elettrico tra i proiettori e il
quadro di comando della torre faro è stato
impiegato un cavo spiralato 9G2,5 mmq
inserito in un cilindro che permette uno
scorrimento comodo e funzionale.
Le connessioni elettriche sono semplificate in
modo da consentire lo sgancio del frontale per
un controllo ed una eventuale manutenzione o
sostituzione di componenti danneggiati o
guasti. E’ inoltre possibile rimuovere e
sostituire la crociera della torre faro. Per la
connessione elettrica dei proiettori, sono
previste scatole in plastica con grado di
protezione IP56.
In caso di utilizzo della torre faro in situazioni
ambientali avverse, con temperature troppo
basse o alte, prestare attenzione al cavo
spiralato e al suo normale scorrimento
all’interno del cilindro in quanto il cavo è
soggetto a momentanea deformazione
strutturale.

at a qualified staff.
Before to use the lighting tower it is
recommended to the authorised staff to
consultate all warnings and dangers
described into this manual.
The manufacturer is not responsible of
any damage at things or person, in
consequence at the inobservance of
safety norms.
Before any operation on the machine ensure
yourself that the lighting tower is not feeded
and that there are not any parts in
movement.
For the electrical connection between the
floodlights and the command panel of the
lighting tower it has been used a turn cable
9G2,5 mmq placed to the inside of a cylinder
that allows a comfortable sliding.
The electrical connections are simplified so
as to concur the uncoupling of the command
panel for a check and an eventual
maintenance or substitution of damages
pieces. It is also possible to remove and to
replace the cruise of the lighting tower. For
the electrical connection of the floodlights we
are previewed plastic boxes with degree of
protection IP56.
In case of use of the lighting tower in adverse
acclimatizes situations, with too much low
temperatures or high, take care to the turn
cable and its normal sliding to the inside of
the cylinder because the cable is subject to
momentary structural deformation.

procedere manualmente all’estrazione dello
stabilizzatore fino a che i perni bloccano la
fuoriuscita del tubolare (Fig. 4); controllare che
i perni entrino nelle rispettive sedi di
bloccaggio dei tubolari.
Abbassare gli stabilizzatori tramite la manopola
(Fig. 4-A).

Tilt manually the floodlights unscrewing the
lever (Fig. 2) placed on the support of the
floodlight.
Rotate the floodlights in the position you
prefer, in function of the type of lighting you
want to obtain.
Release the pins from their hole (Fig. 3) and
then proceed manually to the extraction of
stabilizers until the pins lock the exit of the
tubular (Fig. 4); check that the pins go into
the respective seats of blocking of the
tubular.
Lower the stabilizers through the handle

Tirare il perno di bloccaggio del palo (Fig. 7) in

impossibile continuare ad operare sull’argano

manual winch (Fig. 8) rotating the crank in
clockwise direction.
Arrived to the maximum height sections stop
to raise and will result impossible continue to
operate on the winch.
The attainment of the maximum height is
evidenced by a red wrap placed on the base
of the mast.

14.11 ARRESTO DEL GRUPPO - STOPPING THE ENGINE

16. MANUTENZIONE DELLA TORRE FARO - LIGHTING TOWER
MAINTENANCE
È consigliata una periodica pulizia della
macchina onde evitare depositi di sporcizia
che ne possono compromettere l’efficienza. La
frequenza di tale operazione è valutabile in
funzione della zona d’impiego.
Le operazioni di manutenzione straordinaria
che esulano da quelle citate, necessitano
dell’intervento di personale specializzato.
16.1 INGRASSAGGIO DELLE PULEGGE – LUBRICATION OF THE ROLLERS
Per la lubrificazione delle pulegge, utilizzare
grasso indicato per applicazioni a basse
temperature e velocità molto alte. Si consiglia
l’impiego del grasso SKF LGLT 2, un prodotto
di prima qualità al sapone di litio con olio base
completamente sintetico. In caso di utilizzo di
altro lubrificante, esso dovrà comunque avere
una viscosità di olio base pari a 18 mm²/s a
40°C e pari a 4,5 mm²/s a 100°C.
16.2 INGRASSAGGIO DEI PALI TELESCOPICI - LUBRICATION OF MAST SECTIONS
Per l’ingrassaggio dei pali telescopici, utilizzare
un lubrificante spray tipo WD40, da applicarsi
sulle parti in metallo per facilitare lo
scorrimento delle varie sezioni durante le
operazioni di innalzamento e abbassamento
del palo. In caso di utilizzo frequente effettuare
l’operazione ogni tre mesi.
16.3 INGRASSAGGIO DEGLI STABILIZZATORI – LUBRICATION OF STABILIZERS
Periodicamente ingrassare lo stabilizzatore
utilizzando un grasso denso adatto per sistemi
striscianti, usando un ingrassatore da inserire
nelle valvole poste sullo stabilizzatore (se
previste). Verificare se il movimento degli
stabilizzatori risulta regolare.

In order to preserve the engine performance
strongly suggests to follow the maintenance
operations and the maintenance schedule
reported in the engine manufacturer “Use
and maintenance” user manual. Poor
maintenance could result in a shorter period
of operation and in performance decrease.
We suggest a frequent cleaning of the
machine in order to avoid the presence of dirt
which can compromise the efficiency of the
machine. The frequency of this operation
tightly depends on the place where the
machine is used.
The extraordinary service operations not
mentioned here above require the aid of
specialized technicians.
For the lubrication of the rollers, use a low
temperatures and extremely high speed
bearing grease. We recommend to use SKF
LGLT 2 grease, a premium quality fully
synthetic oil based grease using lithium soap.
In case of use of an other product, the
grease will must have a base oil viscosity
equal to 18 mm²/s at 40°C and to 4,5 mm²/s
at 100°C.
For the lubrication of the mast sections, we
recommend to use a light lubricating oil like
WD40. Spray it on the metal parts of the
mast, in order to avoid squeaking and
scrapping noises during the raising and the
lowering operations. In case of frequent use,
lubricate every three months.
Grease periodically the stabilizer using a
dense grease adapted to sliding system to
apply through the apposite tool to insert in
the valves placed on the stabilizer (if
previewed). Verify if the movement of the
stabilizer is correctly.

16.4 INGRASSAGGIO DELL’ARGANO – LUBRICATION OF THE WINCH
L’argano viene ingrassato in fase di
fabbricazione da parte del costruttore. Si
consiglia però di oliare periodicamente le
boccole dell’albero di comando e del mozzetto
del tamburo. La corona dentata è da
ingrassare di tanto in tanto. Il filetto della
manovella deve sempre essere ingrassato.
ATTENZIONE!!! Non oliare ed ingrassare il
meccanismo del freno.
16.5 CONTROLLO DELLE FUNI D’ACCIAIO - CHECK OF STEEL CABLES
Occorre verificare periodicamente la loro
condizione e il perfetto trascinamento
all’interno delle pulegge. Verificare
periodicamente l’usura e la corretta posizione
delle pulegge. In caso di sostituzione dei cavi e
delle pulegge verificare che il montaggio
avvenga in modo corretto. Se i cavi d’acciaio
dovessero presentare segni d’usura, non
utilizzare la torre faro e contattare direttamente
la GENERAC MOBILE PRODUCTS S.r.l.
