acuti non seppero ben intendere. Ne risulta un lavoro quanto mai proficuo
per il doppio interesse che, appunto, riesce a presentare : un interesse storico,
perchè ci mette a contatto con il pensiero di questi filosofi troppo spesso dimen
ticati ο svisati; e un interesse teorico, perchè ci porta alla comprensione sem
pre più genuina del tomismo. Così l'opera riesce a legare nel suo sviluppo
tutto il pensiero tomistico, dalle origini fino a oggi, dando ai neotomisti la
cam, sia questa l'opera più valida che l'Autore abbia saputo dare alla storia
della filosofia.
