1. SCOPO / AIM
Scopo della presente specifica è documentare le procedure di BACKUP e
RESTORE del software e dei dati macchina sul CN OSAI serie 10/110.
Si consiglia di effettuare periodicamente il BACKUP del SOFTWARE DI GESTIONE

e dei DATI MACCHINA.
This document wants to illustrate the BACKUP and RESTORE procedures of the
software and of the machine data on the OSAI CN serie 10/110.
We adwise to carry out periodically the BACKUP of the MANAGEMENT

SOFTWARE and of the MACHINE DATA.

2. ITALIANO
2.1. PROCEDURA DI RESTORE

La sequenza delle operazione da eseguire per installare il software sui CN OSAI è la
seguente:
1. Installare il software di SISTEMA OSAI (vedi 2.3).
2. Installare il software di GESTIONE (vedi 2.4).
3. Eseguire RESTORE dei dati macchina (vedi 2.5).
2.2. PROCEDURA DI BACKUP

La sequenza delle operazione da eseguire per salvare il software ed i dati sui CN
OSAI è la seguente:
1. Eseguire il backup dei DATI MACCHINA (vedi 2.7).
2. Eseguire il backup del software di GESTIONE (vedi 2.6).

2.3. INSTALLAZIONE DEL SOFTWARE DI SISTEMA
N.B. QUESTA OPERAZIONE È NECESSARIA SOLTANTO SU UN CN NUOVO.

QUESTA OPERAZIONE CANCELLERÀ TOTALMENTE IL CONTROLLO.
La procedura seguente descrive l’installazione del software di sistema su un CN

OSAI serie 10/110.
Il set di floppy disk da utilizzare è quello etichettato SISTEMA OSAI 6.0 ed è formato
da 7 floppy disk.
1. Inserire il floppy DISK 1 nel drive A del CN.
2. Accendere la macchina
3. Il CN OSAI si avvia leggendo il floppy disk. Attendere finché compare la videata

di selezione della lingua.
1) English Language
2) Italian Language
3) German Language
4) French Language
5) Spanish Language
Type your choise and press ENTER [ ] o press ESC

to exit.
Scrivere 2 e premere ENTER.
4. Compare la videata che richiede il tipo di operazione da eseguire:
1) Installazione
2) Salvataggio
3) Cancellazione Disco fisso per trasporto
Digitare il numero desiderato e premere ENTER [ ]

oppure premere ESC per uscire

5. Compare la videata che richiede il tipo di installazione da eseguire:
1) Installazione Release su controllo nuovo

2) Aggiornamento Release

6. Compare la videata di AVVISO

Tutti i files sul disco fisso verranno persi e
il disco utente risultera’ inizializzato.

7. Il CN si riavvia automaticamente ed inizia l’installazione formattando i dischi rigidi

C, D, E e F.
8. Inserire i floppy successivi quando il CN lo richiede.
9. Al termine dell’installazione il CN fornisce il messaggio:

10. Compare la videata che richiede se si vogliono installare OPZIONI o FIXUP:

11. Il CN chiede di togliere il dischetto dal DRIVE A per potersi riavviare:

12. Il CN si riavvierà fornendo il messaggio di errore:
HD0001 File configuration not found.

SYSTEM STOPPED
Spegnere il CN.
La procedura di installazione del software di SISTEMA è terminata.

N.B. QUESTA OPERAZIONE CANCELLERÀ IL SOFTWARE DI GESTIONE E

TUTTI I PROGRAMMI DI LAVORO PRESENTI SUL CONTROLLO
Il set di floppy disk da utilizzare è quello etichettato BACKUP E+F ed è formato da 3

o più floppy disk.
1. Inserire il floppy DISK 1 nel drive A del CN.

1) English Language
2) Italian Language
3) German Language
4) French Language
5) Spanish Language

1. Premere la softkey INTERMAC.
2. Premere la softkey NXT.
3. Premere il tasto AUTO del CN.
4. Premere la softkey F29.
5. Compare la seguente videata:

Nel caso di macchine FILO PIATTO scrivere 1 e premere ENTER.

RESTORE DATI MACCHINA
Scrivere A se i dati macchina si trovano su un floppy disk oppure scrivere E se

si trovano sull’hard disk e premere ENTER.
CONFERMI (S/N)?=S
RESTORE DATI MACCHINA
DRIVE SELEZIONATO =
Se i dati macchina si trovano su un floppy, inserire il floppy nel drive del CN.
Scrivere S e premere ENTER.

8. Durante il restore compare il messaggio lampeggiante:
ATTENDERE PREGO.
9. Al termine del restore compare la seguente videata:

2.6. BACKUP DEL SOFTWARE DI GESTIONE
Questa operazione eseguirà il salvataggio del software di gestione e di tutti i

programmi di lavoro presenti sugli hard disk E e F del CN.
Si deve utilizzare un set di floppy disk etichettandoli BACKUP E+F.

Saranno necessari 3 o più floppy disk vuoti e formattati.
Per iniziare la procedura di backup del software di gestione è necessario il DISK 1

del set di floppy SISTEMA OSAI 6.0.
1. Inserire il floppy DISK 1 del set di floppy SISTEMA OSAI 6.0 nel drive A del CN.

1) English Language
2) Italian Language
3) German Language
4) French Language
5) Spanish Language

to exit.
1) Installazione
2) Salvataggio

1) Salvataggio di tutto il controllo

2) Salvataggio aree di sistema
3) Salvataggio area utente

Digitare 3 e premere ENTER.
Salvataggio disco utente

Premere ENTER.
Salvataggio disco part program

Premere ENTER.
Inserire nuovo dischetto numero 1
Premere ENTER per continuare, ESC per terminare

Inserire il primo floppy disk BACKUP E+F e premere ENTER.
Questo floppy deve essere cancellato.

Premere ENTER.
Al termine della formattazione del floppy il salvataggio inizia automaticamente.
10. Inserire i floppy successivi quando la sequenza di salvataggio lo richiede.

11. Al termine del salvataggio compare la seguente videata:
Reinserire nuovo dischetto numero 1

Inserire il primo dischetto BACKUP E+F e premere ENTER.
12. Compare le seguente videata:
Backup completato.

Premere ENTER.
13. Compare le seguente videata:
Rimuovere il floppy
Premere un tasto.
Rimuovere il floppy e premere un tasto.
Il CN si riavvia e la procedura di backup è completata.

2.7. BACKUP DEI DATI MACCHINA
1. Premere la softkey INTERMAC.
2. Premere la softkey NXT.
3. Premere il tasto AUTO del CN.
4. Premere la softkey F28.

Scrivere A se si desidera salvare i dati macchina su un floppy disk oppure

scrivere E se si desidera memorizzarli sull’hard disk del CN e premere
ENTER.

BACKUP DATI MACCHINA
DRIVE SELEZIONATO =
Se si è scelto di memorizzarli su un floppy disk, inserire il floppy disk nel drive
del CN.
Scrivere S e premere ENTER.

8. Durante il salvataggio compare il messaggio lampeggiante:

3.1. RESTORE PROCEDURE

These are the operations that must be carried out to install the software on the NC
OSAI:
1. Install the OSAI SYSTEM software (see 3.3).
2. Install the MANAGEMENT software (see 3.4).
3. Carry out RESTORE operation of the machine data (see 3.5).
3.2. BACKUP PROCEDURE

These are the operations that must be carried out to save the software and the data
on the NC OSAI:
1. Carry out the backup of the MACHINE DATA (see 3.7).
2. Carry out the backup of the MANAGEMENT software (see 3.6).

3.3. INSTALL THE SYSTEM SOFTWARE
WARNING: THIS OPERATION IS NECESSARY ONLY ON A NEW NC.

THIS OPERATION WILL DELETE THE CONTROL
COMPLETELY.
This is the procedure to install the system software on a NC OSAI serie 10/110.
You must use the set of floppy disks with the label SISTEMA OSAI 6.0, which is
composed by 7 floppy disks.
1. Insert the floppy DISK 1 in the drive A of the NC.
2. Switch on the machine
3. The NC OSAI starts up and reads the floppy disk. Wait until the page to select
the language appears:
1) English Language
2) Italian Language
3) German Language
4) French Language
5) Spanish Language

to exit.
Type the number which corresponds to the language you want to use and press
ENTER.
4. The following page appears:
1) Install
2) Backup
3) Reset fixed disk to ship
Type your choice and press ENTER [ ] or press ESC to

exit
Type 1 and press ENTER.

2) Install Release
Type your choice and press ENTER [ ] or press ESC

to exit
WARNING !
All files on the fixed disk will be lost and
the user disk will be initialized.
Press ENTER to continue, ESC to exit
Press ENTER:
7. The CN starts up again automatically, formats the hard disks C, D, E and F and
starts the installation.
8. Insert the floppy disks when the instructions for backup request it.
9. After the installation of the last floppy disk the following page appears:
Installation finished.
Press any key …

Press ENTER.
Do you want to install options or fixup ?
Press ESC.

Remove the floppy and press ENTER.
12. The CN starts up again and shows the error message:
HD0001 File configuration not found.

SYSTEM STOPPED
Switch off the machine.
The installation procedure of the SYSTEM software is finished.

3.4. INSTALLATION OF THE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
WARNING: THIS OPERATION WILL DELETE THE MANAGEMENT

3.5. RESTORE THE MACHINE DATA
1. Press the softkey INTERMAC.

If the machine data are on a floppy disk, insert th floppy disk in the drive of the
NC. Type S and press ENTER.

3.6. BACKUP OF THE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE
This operation saves the management software and all the working programms on
the hard disk E and F of the NC.
You must use a set of floppy disk with the label BACKUP E+F.
For this operation You need 3 or more empty and formatted floppy disks.
The DISK 1 of the set of floppy disks SISTEMA OSAI 6.0 is necessary to start the
backup procedure of the management software.
1. Insert the floppy DISK 1 of the set of the floppy disks SISTEMA OSAI 6.0 in the
drive A of the CN.
the language appears.
1) English Language
2) Italian Language
3) German Language
4) French Language
5) Spanish Language
Type your choice and press ENTER [ ] or press

ESC to exit.
1) Install
2) Backup
Type your choice and press ENTER [ ] or press ESC to
