La società Xilon nasce dall’esperienza e dalla passione profuse da Giuseppe Colamedici

nel settore dell’ebanisteria già in giovane età, quando come garzone di bottega imparò a
Civita Castellana il mestiere del falegname.
Nel 1956 emigra in Venezuela, Caracas, con la propria moglie e intraprende un’attività di
produzione mobili che gli permette di maturare competenze nella lavorazione in serie e di
raggiungere un considerevole successo.
Nel 1997 alla soglia dei 70 anni e insieme al figlio più piccolo Franco Fulvio, non esita
a mettersi in discussione fondando l’azienda che oggi raccoglie la sfida di innovarsi ed
evolvere in un mercato fortemente competitivo e dinamico.
Xilon originates from Giuseppe Colamedici’s experience and enthusiasm as a cabinet maker
when he was much younger and while working as an errand boy learnt the carpentry trade in
Civita Castellana.
In 1956, he emigrated to Venezuela, Caracas, with his wife and set up a furniture-making
business in which he was able to become skilled in mass production and achieve considerable
success.
In 1997, at almost 70 years of age, he did not hesitate to start a new venture with his youngest
son Franco Fulvio, setting up the company that is now accepting the challenge of innovating
itself and evolving in a highly competitive and dynamic market.

risorse umane motivate, continua ricerca di nuove idee per l’ambiente bagno e un’etica di
base che non consente concorrenza sleale. Questi punti di forza hanno conferito continuità
con il passato proiettandoci con solidità verso il futuro.
Con Lavarredo, realizzato nel 2002, abbiamo rivoluzionato il concetto di lavatoio,
combinando in un unico prodotto sia la funzionalità del lavatoio che l’eleganza e il design
di un mobile d’arredo, e proprio da questa grande intuizione è nata la mission aziendale:
coniugare funzionalità e design in un contesto di arredo bagno.
Grazie a questo processo evolutivo, attualmente il concetto iniziale del Lavarredo è stato
esteso a tutta la nostra gamma ed ha permesso all’azienda di offrire un prodotto pratico e
unico, la cui filosofia si identifica nell’ottimizzare l’utilizzo del bagno e tutto ciò che gli ruota

Lo spazio destinato alle funzioni di cui ci occupiamo si arricchisce di connotati e azioni e diventa un
luogo domestico in continua evoluzione.
L’ambiente bagno diventa sempre più trasversale e sensibile alle nostre abitudini e modus vivendi;
per questi motivi crediamo che sia necessario offrire nuovi concetti progettuali mirati all’evoluzione di
questo spazio domestico, esplorando allo stesso tempo nuove soluzioni d’arredo in chiave sperimentale.
Esperienza e giovani risorse umane ci stimolano ad essere sempre più propositivi e al passo coi tempi,
pronti a cogliere le novità nelle forme, nei materiali, nelle finiture e colori e ad arricchire la nostra
produzione per soddisfare le esigenze del mercato.
Il nostro scopo in prospettiva futura è quindi quello di analizzare i nuovi trend domestici per rendere
ancora più funzionale la quotidianità.
Il distretto di Civita Castellana, oltre ad essere a forte vocazione produttiva, è anche un importante
centro agricolo, pertanto condividere questo ambiente ci rende sensibili alle tematiche ambientali e ci
spinge alla ricerca e all’utilizzo di materiali ecosostenibili con certificazioni che lo attestino.
Per i nostri laccati adottiamo un particolare metodo di verniciatura che impiega l’utilizzo dell’azoto
caldo ionizzato nel processo stesso di verniciatura del prodotto. L’azoto, gas neutro e non contaminato,
permette alla vernice di essere attirata maggiormente sulla superficie dei prodotti, in tal modo si
riducono drasticamente sia l’overspray della verniciatura tradizionale che l’emissione dei solventi
nell’atmosfera, a favore di un minor impatto ambientale.

Our aim for the future is therefore to analyse new home trends to make daily life even easier.
The Civita Castellana district, besides having a high concentration of manufacturing plants, is also an
important agricultural centre, a factor which therefore makes us aware of environmental issues and
prompts us to perform research into and use ecosustainable materials with certifications to prove it.
We use a specific method of coating for our lacquered products, using hot ionised nitrogen during the
actual spraying process. Nitrogen, a neutral and uncontaminated gas, increases attraction of the coating
to the surface of products, thus drastically reducing both the overspray typical of traditional coating, and
emission of solvents into the atmosphere, with a consequently lower environmental impact.

La nuova gamma Totus esprime le sue potenzialità di estrema praticità abbinate ad un moderno
design, adottando piani con lavabi integrati in Ocritech di spessore 10 mm. Ocritech è acrilico
colato con un altissimo grado di resistenza alla rottura, all’invecchiamento e agli acidi, è
facilmente ripristinabile da eventuali graffi e si pulisce semplicemente con i comuni detersivi.
Grazie inoltre all’eccellente planarità e alla superficie di alta qualità si ottengono ottimi risultati
estetici dal design pulito, aggiungendo così alla funzionalità un ulteriore tocco di modernità.
Per questo nuovo progetto sono stati studiati nuovi contenitori e accessori che lo rendono
configurabile in diversi modi. Possibili personalizzazioni su misura.
The new Totus range combines extremely practical features with modern design, and has 10 mm
thick Ocritech tops with integrated sinks. Ocritech is a cast acrylic resin material with a very high
level of resistance to impact, wear and acids, it is easy to repair any scratches and can be cleaned
simply with conventional detergents. Additionally, the extremely smooth, high quality surface of the
material makes it possible to obtain excellent aesthetic results and clean lines, thus adding a further
touch of modernity to its practical features. New units and accessories have been designed for this

Dalla continua ricerca di soluzioni che soddisfino le esigenze domestiche ed estetiche nasce
il progetto Nanco. In esso si è voluto riformulare in chiave moderna il concetto di lavatoio
prendendo in prestito dalla linea Nanco+ lavabi in ceramica con soluzioni tecniche come lo
strizzatoio Sil® e la profondità, 20 cm, che ne consente l’uso sia come normale lavabo sia
come valido supporto in lavanderia.

a terra dotato di piedini registrabili a scomparsa.
