presenta tre colonne : Infinito, Simple past, Past participle.
Purtroppo, si possono riconoscere i verbi regolari imparando a memoria i verbi irregolari.

Used to si usa per sottolineare continuit dazione, abitudine passata che adesso non avviene
pi.
Es. When he was a child, he used to live in the country.
Quando era bambino abitava in campagna.
Would + infinito senza to si usa per sottolineare la ripetitivit di unazione al passato.
Es. When he was a child he would go fishing twice a week.
Forma affermativa
Forma interrogativa
Forma negativa
Es. Ieri ho incontrato Mary per la strada. Aspettava lautobus.
Yesterday I met Mary in the street. She was waiting for the bus.
b) Per esprimere unazione che era in svolgimento, quando unaltra azione lha interrotta.
Es.
I was having a bath when the phone rang.
N.B. Nota la differenza tra le seguenti frasi :
1) When I arrived, she made some coffee.
