Molto - Avverbio o Aggettivo?

Remember the rule Molto/ tanto, poco, parecchio, altrettanto, troppo can be adverbs or
adjectives. To distinguish them you need to see whether they have changed according to the verb,
adjective, adverb or with the noun and pronoun. (i.e. questa pasta è molto buona = adverb as it
has changed how good is the pasta not the quantity. Molta pasta è buona = adjective as it has
changed the amount of pasta. Pochi apprezzano la pasta = pronoun when it refers to people
without being specific.

Molto/tanto = many Mangio

Molto/ tanto= very Mangio molte mele/ mangio tante mele
molto Placed by the noun it describes
placed by the verb – describes how quantities IT CHANGES TO
MATCH THE NOUN

The same applies to poco, parecchio, altrettanto, troppo

Poco = little Poco = few

Parecchio = a lot Parecchio = much
Altrettanto = as much (the same Altrettanto = as much (quantity)
