MUCH: MOLTO
MUCH significa MOLTO. Viene usato nelle frasi negative ed interrogative con i sostantivi non
numerabili (uncountables).

Esempio:

Is there much hope? C’è molta speranza? No, there isn’t much hope. No, non c’è molta
speranza
Is there much information? C’è molta No, there isn’t much information. No, non c’è
informazione? molta informazione.

MANY: MOLTI

MANY significa MOLTI. Viene usato nelle frasi negative ed interrogative con i sostantivi
numerabili (countables).

Esempio:

Have you got many problems? Avete tanti No, we haven’t got many problems. No, non
problemi? abbiamo tanti problemi.
Are there many people at the party? Ci sono No, she hasn’t got many friends. No, non ha
molte persone alla festa? molti amici.

A LOT OF: TANTO

A LOT OF significa TANTO. Viene usato solo con le frasi affermative, sia con i sostantivi
numerabili (countables) che con i sostantivi non numerabili (uncountables).

LOT OF è meno usato ed è pressoché uguale, solo più formale; quindi andiamo con A LOT OF.

Esempio:

David gives me a lot of information (uncountables). David mi dà tante informazioni.

David has a lot of cars. David ha molte macchine.
