PRINCIPIO DI FUNZIONAMENTO
PRINCIPIO DI FUNZIONAMENTO
In pratica il fluido conduttivo viene fatto fluire in un tubo di materiale non
magnetico che passa tra le espansioni polari di un elettromagnete, tra le quali si
genera un campo magnetico perpendicolare alle linee di corrente.
Per rendere conduttivo il fluido, in esso vengono dispersi ioni che sotto l’azione del
campo magnetico, cedono le cariche agli elettrodi di misura generando la forza
elettromotrice proporzionale alla velocità con cui si muove il fluido.

Questa relazione vale se si avverano due ipotesi:
-Il campo magnetico è uniforme (effetti di bordo trascurabili)
-La conducibilità del liquido è >> di quella del tubo e lo spessore del tubo è << del
suo diametro.

- Assenza di parti in movimento
- Molto poco sensibili alle proprietà fisiche del fluido (temperatura, pressione, viscosità e
densità)
- Utilizzabile con fluidi carichi di sedimenti (fluidi alimentari, acque anche sporche, sangue)
- Adatto per piccoli e grandi diametri
- Poco sensibile al profilo di velocità, purché simmetrico rispetto all’asse della tubazione (non
occorrono lunghi tratti di condotta rettilinea a monte e valle o raddrizzatori di flusso)
- Buona linearità
- Buona risposta in frequenza (quasi istantanea nei circuiti DC e limitata dalla frequenza di
alimentazione nei circuiti AC o DC modulati)

Construction/Dimensions
The Miniflow incorporates a process connection with threads per ISO228 or NPT. The diameter difference of the transition from
the pipeline to the flowmeter should be kept to a minimum. For this reason additional adapters which screw onto the ISO process
connection threads are available as an option. These adapters do not add to the length of the meter.
