Il progetto della riconversione del Cumberland park,

fino a prima consistente in un parcheggio di 17 acri, una
lastra di asfalto che divideva la superstrada dal fiume
Cumberland, ha preso vita grazie allimpegno ed alla
collaborazione della cittadinanza, portando al primo
risultato stupefacente oggi visibile.

The design of the park Cumberland conversion, up to

the first consisting of a 17-acre park, a slab of asphalt
that separated the highway from the Cumberland River,
came to life thanks to the commitment and collaboration of citizens, leading to the first amazing result visible
today.

Quello che vediamo oggi di fatto il primo dei quattro

passi che porteranno alla completa rigenerazione della
zona verde costeggiante il fiume nella citt di Nashville.
Essendo un progetto totalmente autofinanziato, le fasi
applicative sono state pensate in ordine di imponenza/
durata, in ordine decrescente.

What we see today is in fact the first of the four steps

that will lead to the complete regeneration of the green
area bordering a river in the city of Nashville.
Being a totally self-financed project, application stages
have been designed in order of bigness / duration, in
descending order.

La prima fase consisteva nella creazione di un parco

divertimenti green, ottenendo strutture fortemente
vincolate ai dislivelli ed alla morfologia del terreno,
sfruttando in estate lutilizzo dellacqua piovana per
diventare un parco acquatico ed in inverno un sito di
giochi invernali grazie alle strutture polifunzionali.Linusualit di un simile approccio ed un disegno diretto
dalle richieste dei futuri visitatori ha portato il parco
ad essere un nuovo punto di riferimento per la citt,
risultato che si prevede nei prossimi 20 anni porter al
completamento delle restanti fasi: la creazione di strutture sportive chiuse di una nota societ, al ridisegno ed
allimplemento delle strutture direttamente affacciate
al fiume( ristoranti e bar), fino alla rigenerazione dei
venti chilometri di riva verde cos tutelati negli anni dai
visitatori del parco.

The first stage was the creation of a green amusement

park, getting structures highly constrained with height
differences and the morphology of the land, taking advantage of the use of rainwater in the summer to become a water park and in winter a cold games site thanks
to the hybrid structures.the revolutionary approach and
a straightforward design by the demands of future visitors brought the park to be a new landmark for the city,
a result that is expected in the next 20 years will bring
the completion of the remaining phases: creating sports
facilities owned by a well-knowed company, the redesign and implement of the facilities directly overlooking
the river (restaurants and bars), till the regeneration of
twenty kilometers of the shore green protected over the
years by park visitors.
