Dear Customer

Thank you for buying one of our DATA ACQUISITION AND ANALYSIS SYSTEMS.
Please read this guide carefully to make sure you get the knowledge for using your new GET product.

1 LICENCE EVO KIT

ENGLISH

The Licence EVO is composed of:

• Case
• Software and Manual Maya CD
• Programming Cable
• Fast User’s guide
• GET stickers

The programming switch must be ACTIVATED:

ONLY
during data download (see Maya User Manual cap6.3) procedure. All the other
operations has to be done with programming switch DISABLED:

Do not connect the programming cable, with the programming switch

ACTIVATED, if the ECU is connected to power supply or engine is on.

The use of USB-RS232 adapters other than those recommended by GET

undermines the proper functioning of the ECU or his integrity.
GET by Athena Evolution s.r.l. disclaims any liability for damage to the
ECU from the use of USB-RS232 adapters other than those recommended.

During programing phase, ensure that the power supply is ADEQUATE,

generating a 12 V VOLTAGE and at least 1A OF CURRENT. If the power supply
fails during the programming procedure, the procedure will fail and the ECU may
be damaged.

Make sure the power terminals of the programming cable are connected
the right way, as follows:

RED = POSITIVE (+) BLACK = NEGATIVE (-)

2 INSTALLATION

2.1 Microsoft Windows

Maya is available on Microsoft Windows platform: officially Windows versions supported are:
• Windows XP (Service Pack 2, Service Pack 3)
• Windows Vista (Service Pack 1, Service Pack 2)
Maya should work also on different Windows version, but they are not officially supported.

Maya is distributed as a single self-installing executable, normally called Maya_Install_<Version>.exe.
Before installing the software Maya, you configure the computer creating the service folder, this is just follow
the steps below.

1. Create “MayaWorkspace” folder in “Documents” of Windows©

 3. Run file Maya_Install_<Versione>.exe in “../Documents/MayaWorckspace/Software/..”

Windows Vista may prompt a permission request at the beginning of the installation. Select “Allow” to
proceed with the installation.
4. As a first step, the software license will be prompted, as shown in Figure 1. The user must accept
the license to proceed.
5. The second step is the component selection, shown in Figure 2. All components are required for the
first installation, while for subsequent installations (e.g. updates), only Maya is strictly necessary.
Anyway, leaving the default selection is always a safe choice.
6. Finally the installation path selection is prompted (see Figure 3), then the installation will start. During
installation it will be also asked if a desktop short-cut has to be created.

3 GP1 EVO

Evolution Athena warns that both the mappings present by default in the device GP1 EVO,
have a threshold limiter rpm, 300rpm higher than the standard ECU.
To modify this parameter, you need the kit EVO license and / or Advanced

4 REQUEST FOR ADVANCED LICENSE

Maya is available in 2 versions:

• Basic: this is the version provided with the ECU and that can be used for main tasks during Maya
usage;
• Advanced: this version enables some additional features and gives access to more ECU
parameters for deeper analysis and tuning capabilities.
The Advanced version of Maya can be activated using a hardware USB key, holding the license information.
To request the Advanced License, customers must have the EVO License.

To request your Advanced License activation, please follow these steps:

4. Double-click on the following icon to run Maya:

If this is your first time installing the Maya, you choose the folder "MayaWorkspace" Documents in Windows,
created before the installation as specified in the instructions CAP.2 INSTALLATION

5. Create the request file

6. Save the file on your desktop using the following format:

license_request_NAME_SURNAME_PCnumber.myl

7. Customer sends the file to sales@getdata.it

 WARNING
Customers can use the same ADVANCED USB KEY on up to 3 different
computers.

If this activation is needed on 3 computers when buying the license, customers just need to send 3 different
files (license_request_NAME_SURNAME_PCnumber.myl)
created on 3 different PC’s with 3 different names following the procedure described above. In this case,
the 3 activations are included in the license price.

If the second and/or third activation are requested sometime afterwards, customers have to go through the
above procedure again, but this will entail the following charges for them:

Nell’utilizzo della licenza Advanced , è necessario verificare che tutte le schede di
rete di siano ATTIVE, e inserire PRIMA la chiave USB, e POI avviare MAYA.
