PRONOMI PERSONALI SOGGETTO


(Personal pronouns - subject)

In inglese, in linea di massima, va sempre espresso il soggetto dei verbi


coniugati, perché, essendo la coniugazione dei verbi estremamente semplice,
con poca o nessuna differenza tra una persona e l’altra, se non si esprime il
soggetto, non si sa a quale persona si riferisce il verbo.

Il Presente Indicativo italiano del verbo lavorare è:

io lavoro
tu lavori
egli/lui lavora - ella/lei lavora - esso/essa lavora
noi lavoriamo
voi lavorate
essi lavorano

Se io dico semplicemente "lavoriamo" è evidente che sto parlando di "noi"; se


dico "lavorano" è evidente che sto parlando di "essi", perciò non è
indispensabile esprimere il soggetto.

Il Simple Present inglese del verbo To work è :

I work
you work
he works / she works / it works
we work
you work
they work

Se dico semplicemente "work" non so di chi sto parlando, perciò il soggetto in


inglese non si può omettere.

Quando manca il soggetto si deve usare il PRONOME PERSONALE


corrispondente al soggetto sottinteso.

Sono pronomi personali che nella frase hanno la funzione di complemento


diretto o indiretto*.

• Tu studi con loro.


Tu = Pronome personale soggetto
Loro = Pronome personale complemento

In Italiano ogni pronome personale complemento ha diverse forme.


In Inglese c’è una sola forma per ogni pronome complemento, che deve sempre
seguire il verbo:
