TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. GENERAL FEATURES
-Tubular screw conveyors are suited to draw, batch and handle concrete or concrete-like
materials.
-These conveyors have been developed according to all safety rules according to EC directives.
-They are available in different sizes in order to satisfy any capacity needs (139, 168, 193,
219, 273, 323)
-They are developed in big series and consist of interchangeable sectional parts being
connected one to each other by sturdy flangings to reach a total length approximately
equal to 12 - 13 metres.
-The extensions are equipped with sturdy in-between cast iron supports with plain bearing,
which is protected from wear by suitable seals as well as lubricated through special
lubricating points.
-The in-between splined bolt allows a quick coupling with the broached bushes welded at the
flight pipe end to occur creating in this way a perfectly balanced screw conveyor
movement.
-The standard flight is produced with reduced pitch at the inlet and normal pitch in the
remaining length, in order to avoid cloggings near the in-between supports and assure a
good functioning of the machine.
-The inspection doors are fixed to the screw conveyor pipe by the push of a bolt being screwed
on a bar, which levers on a protection welded on the pipe; such protection allows the door
to be fixed and hinders a water penetration in the inspection opening.
-Standard POFER reduction gear is directly splined on the flight shaft (at the inlet hatch) and is
equipped with an exclusive flanging contanining the seals.
-If the drive is mounted at the outlet, a head with an exclusive POFER sealing unit is mounted
at the inlet.
-Reduction gears are available with power from 1.1 kW to 15 kW and with reduction ratio 1/5,
1/7, 1/10, 1/15, 1/20 to meet different capacity needs.
-Only environment friendly paints are used according to the law being in force.
-A standard supply includes:
-cylindrical inlet and outlet hatches (one as inlet, one as outlet) with rubber coupling
edge;
-in-between flangings;
-inspection door under the inlet hatch and under every in-between support;
-in-between supports complete with lubricator and relevant protection;
-direct drive at the inlet;
-two lifting hooks for each screw conveyor piece;
-cable hose;
- chrome yellow RAL 1007 final painting; by request, different paintings can be carried
out;
-every conveyor is supplied with an EC declaration of compliance;
-adhesive labels indicating how to properly behave near dangerous areas.
