ESTATE VO-VIET DAI BANG

LONG HO HOI CUNEO MASTER PAOLO LOVERA

Anche questa estate, come ogni estate, dopo gli esami di fine anno e la
chiusura ufficiale dei corsi, la sezione di Cuneo dell'ASD La Piccola Foresta Vo
Viet Dai Bang ha ripreso gli allenamenti al parco.

Gli allenamenti si sono tenuti nella bella cornice del Parco Villa Sara di Cuneo,
con le montagne sullo sfondo, il suono del fiume e tanto verde.
Gli allenamenti si sono svolti ogni luned e mercoled dalle ore 20.00 alle ore
21.30 a partire dal 16 di giugno con la sola pausa di 20 giorni ad agosto.

Durante la sessione estiva (completamente gratuita) sono stati affrontati
allenamenti a coppie di Bastone Con, doppia sciabola (song dao), lavori a
mani nude e lo studio del Tam Kien e del Tuyen Sinh.

La partecipazione stata sempre buona e l'atmosfera estiva ha contribuito
ulteriormente a consolidare relazioni di amicizia tanto che spesso alla fine delle
lezioni ci si trovava tutti assieme per andare a cenare o bere qualcosa
condividendo la nostra passione.

VINH XUAN CUNEO MASTER GUIDO CESANO

Sono continuati gli
allenamenti per la
sezione Vinh Xuan ogni
settimana a Bernezzo e a
Vernante con lIstruttore
Alberto Dalmasso.

Durante la sessione
estiva si sono praticate
intensamente anche le
lezioni della Learning
Letter, in particolare un
lavoro di applicazione
intensivo delle tecniche
Thang-Moc-Muc e Nhat
Luyen Kiem in varie variazioni tecniche, oltre che lo sviluppo della disciplina
Noi-Cong Chi-Luc.

Lallenamento estivo culminato con un Intensive Training di 4 giorni, dal 27
al 31 agosto, anche per 8/9 ore al giorno che ha visto la partecipazione di
atleti, oltre che dallItalia, dalla Francia e dal Belgio.

ITALIAN TEAM TRANSLATORS
Allinizio di questanno proposi ai miei allievi unidea nuova,
unattivit curiosa ed insolita per un corso di Viet-Chi-Dao, un
modo pi diretto per far conoscere il GM Charles PhanHoang
attraverso i suoi scritti.
Ma cera un problema: solo pochissimi documenti, in passato,
erano stati tradotti in italiano e io non avevo n il tempo n la
capacit di tradurre quellenorme quantit di messaggi ed
insegnamenti che ormai fanno parte della letteratura del Viet-
Chi System.
AAA Cercasi traduttori volontari! Questo fu il mio appello al
quale, con piacevole sorpresa ed immensa gratitudine, risposero
sette dei miei allievi.
Cominciammo subito a distribuire i testi da tradurre, dapprima in
maniera del tutto casuale, poi scegliendoli per tipologia e livello
tecnico.

Ricordo che unallieva, alla sua prima traduzione, mi disse che non
era riuscita a trovare sul vocabolario dinglese un termine malgrado
avesse provato tutte le possibilit: quel termine era quyen. Sorrisi
e quando le spiegai il significato ridemmo assieme, considerando
quanto coraggio ci volesse per tradurre dei testi cos astrusi per la
gente comune.
Lezione dopo lezione, le parole del GM
entrarono a far parte delle nostre lezioni,
un momento dascolto diventato ormai
immancabile ed atteso da tutti.
Quando il 4 maggio venne a Caldonazzo
per tenere il primo stage del
VietchiInstitute, Charles PhanHoang non
era un Maestro immaginario venuto da
chiss dove a mero scopo dimostrativo e spettacolare. Gli allievi
lo incontrarono come si incontra un amico entrato con semplicit
nella propria quotidianit,ammirandone la sua grandezza e profondit di pensiero. Ogni
istante fu pi genuino ed assaporato.
Lidea del team translators, accolta con entusiasmo dallo stesso
GM, si poi allargata ..si aggiunto simpaticamente anche un
componente multilingue da Sangano. Grazie alla disponibilit di
Flora e Rosa tutti gli italiani iscritti al Learning Group possono
leggere e comprendere in tempo reale le Learning Lettertradotte in
italiano e questo ci ha permesso di arrivare dove linglese non
conosciuto.

Earlier this year, I suggested to my students a new idea, an odd
and unusual for a course of Viet-Chi-Dao, a more direct wayto
raise awareness of GM Charles Phan Hoang through his
writings.
But there was a problem: only a handful of documents, in the
past, had been translated into Italian and I had neither the time
nor the ability to translate the huge amount of messages and
teachings that are now part of the "literature of the Viet-Chi
System ".
"AAA Searching for volunteer translators"! This was my
appeal which, with pleasant surprise and immense gratitude,
said seven of m ystudents.
We began immediately to distribute the texts to be translated, at
first in a totally random, then choosing them by type and technical
level. Earlier we learned to read the handwriting of the GM, not to
scare us in front of the Vietnamese words with accents and
gibberish.
I remember a student, in his first translation, told me that she could
not find a word in the dictionary of English despite having tried all
the possibilities: that term was "quyen". I smiled and, when I
explained the meaning, laughed together, considering how much
courage it took to translate the texts so abstruse for ordinary
people.
Lesson after lesson, the words of GM became part of our lessons,

I GRANDI GUERRIERI
DEL DAI-NAM
un racconto di G.M. Phan Hoang

INTRODUZIONE

Anno 1583, Provincia di Yen-Bai

In un giorno piovoso dellautunno 1583,
anno della Capra, uno straniero entr in
un piccolo villaggio situato nella parte
pi a nord della Provincia di Yen-Bai.

Nessuno sapeva da dove era venuto con
una manciata di seguaci in questo posto
lontano e desolato.

Egli poi vi stabil il suo misterioso
quartier generale. Disse di chiamarsi
Quy-Su, il maestro-demone e la
popolazione locale era felice di
chiamarlo cos anche se non aveva
ancora fatto alcun danno.

Ma la sua faccia mostrava la sua anima interiore: fronte spaziosa,
occhi luminosi pieni di invidia e crudelt, grandi denti bianchi. Era
alto e si muoveva velocemente. La sua lunga spada affilata
sembrava invincibile.

Da quel momento questo luogo prese il nome di Nui-Hu, la
montagna dei lamenti, a causa dei suoni desolanti che la gente
spesso sentiva la sera. Anche se questo posto non era davvero
unalta montagna.

Era un luogo costituito da piccoli monti che formavano spazi
ristretti per il passaggio dalla pianura alle montagne pi alte oppure
oltre di esse, come una scorciatoia.
Il percorso verso il luogo in cui si trovava Quy-Su era deserto e
lontano dalla citt di Yen-Bai.

Lo stretto sentiero che conduceva in quel luogo era deserto e
frequentato solo da poveri viaggiatori o Trang-Si, cavalieri, senza
paura. Uomini forti che volevano sfidare le montagne attraverso
questo passaggio e risparmiare un giorno rispetto a quelli che
avevano preso la strada pi facile, ma pi lunga, della pianura.

Quy-Su era molto crudele, ma anche abbastanza intelligente, da
non attaccare la popolazione locale. Aveva messo su un metodo del
tutto legale per soddisfare i suoi oscuri desideri colmi di
superstizione.
Aveva messo un grande cartello sul lato della strada, per i
viaggiatori, ma rivolto ai cavalieri che passavano di l, i quali
avevano la possibilit di sottomettersi alla sua protezione oppure di
sfidarlo in un combattimento mortale.

ottenere vittorie per soddisfare il suo oscuro desiderio di

GREAT WARRIORS FROM DAI-NAM LAND

THE COLLECTOR OF HEADS

Year 1583, Province of Yen-Bai

In a rainy autumn day in 1583, year of the Goat, a stranger arrived
to a small hamlet located in the far northern part of Yen-Bai
Province. No one knew from where he had come with a handful of
henchmen to this distant and desolate place. He then established
his mysterious head quarter there. He called himself as QUY-SU,
the demon-master and the local people were also pleased to call
him so although he did do any harm to them so far.

But his face could show his inner soul: bulky forehead, bright eyes
full of envy and cruelty, large white teeth. He was tall and moving
fast. His slashing long sword seemed invincible. Since then this
place bore the name of NUI-HU, the howling-mountain because of
the dreary sounds people often heard off in the evening. This place
was not really a high mountain.

There were moderate mounts forming narrow gaps that offered
passes from the plain below up to the higher mountains ahead or
down to the other side as a short cut. The path through QUY-SU'
place is desert and far from the town of Yen-Bai. This narrow road
passing here was frequented only by poor travellers and fearless
trang-si, those strong men who wanted to challenge the mountains
by this shortcut and save one day against those who took the
easier way below.

QUY-SU was very cruel but intelligent enough for not attacking
local people. He set up a legal way to satisfy his obscure desires
fulfilled of superstition. He put a large sign at the side of the road

2014 una piccola
delegazione di atleti
novaresi di arti marziali
ha partecipato al
prestigioso Festival
Internazionale di Arti
Marziali Tradizionali
Vietnamite; la
delegazione, invitata dal
governo vietnamita,
appartiene alla scuola di
Bnh nh Sa Long
Cuong Italia.

Il 30 luglio la squadra ha raggiunto Quy Nhon, nella regione di
Bnh nh. in questa regione centrale e sulla costa che ogni due
anni si celebra il Festival Internazionale di Arti Marziali Tradizionali
Vietnamite.

Il Festival una manifestazione sportiva di grandissima importanza
per il Vietnam: equiparabile a una Olimpiade delle arti marziali
vietnamite, non solo perch coinvolge numerose nazioni orientali e
occidentali fra cui Russia, Stati Uniti, Italia, Francia, Marocco,
Giappone, ma anche perch le arti marziali sono uno sport molto
seguito e praticato in Vietnam.

Nellanno della sua quinta edizione levento ha viste riunite 60
scuole provenienti da 24 paesi e ben 63 scuole vietnamite,
dilettando dal primo al quattro agosto un pubblico molto numeroso
presente nella citt di Quy Nhon dove si sono svolte la cerimonia
di apertura e quella di chiusura - e negli altri numerosi luoghi di
esibizione sparsi nella regione.
