Tanpa Geotextile sistem drainase bawah tanah akan mengalami
kontaminasi butiran halus tanah melalui rembesan air tanah.
Hal ini menyebabkan penyumbatan pada sistem drainase bawah
tanah.
Without Geotextile the sub soil drainage system will be
contaminated with fine soil particles through ground water
seepage. This condition will cause a clogging of the sub soil
drainage system during service life time.
Filtrasi dengan menggunakan Geotextile akan mencegah
kontaminasi butiran halus tanah, sementara itu rembesan air
tanah akan tetap mengalir. Hal ini meningatkan kemampuan
sistem drainase bawah tanah selama masa pelayanan.
Filtration by using Geotextile will prevent the contamination of fine
soil particles, while allowing seeping groundwater to freely drain,
this condition will prolong the performance of sub soil drainage
system in the service life time.

Tanpa penulangan tanah dengan Geotextile maka konstruksi
timbunan mempunyai kemiringan yang landai dan peka terhadap
masalah kelongsoran. Hal ini umum dijumpai pada kondisi tanah
yang lunak.
Without Geotextile reinforcement the embankment must be
designed with more flat slope gradient and prone the slope failure.
This is common phenomenon in the soft soil layer condition.
Penulangan tanah dengan Geotextile akan memungkinkan
konstruksi timbunan yang curam dan mencegah keruntuhan lereng.
Hal ini akan meningkatkan efisiensi, kemampuan dan nilai ekonomis
timbunan.
Geotextiles reinforcement on the embankment construction will
make a possible solution using steep slope and preventing a slope
failure. This condition will enhance the efficiency, performance and
economic value of the embankment construction.

Erosi butiran halus tanah akibat rembesan air tanah akan
menyebabkan peningkatan tekanan hidrostatis. Hal ini akan
menimbulkan kerusakan pada sistem perlindungan lereng selama
masa pelayanan.
Fine soil particles due to the ground water seepage will cause a
build up of hidrostatic pressures. This condition will cause a
damage on the slope protection system during the service life time.
Filtrasi dengan menggunakan Geotextile akan mencegah butiran
halus tanah, dimana hal ini akan mencegah erosi. Sementara itu
rembesan air tanah akan tetap berlangsung sehingga peningkatan
tekanan Hidrostatis. Hal ini akan meningkatkan kemampuan
perlindungan lereng semasa masa pelayanan.
Filtration using Geotextile will prevent the migration of the fine soil
particles, which in turn prevent the erosion while allowing the
ground water seepage which in turn prevent the build up of
hidrostatic pressure. This condition will prolong the performance
of slope protection.

Tanpa Geotextile sebagai lapisan pemisah, bahan agregate akan
mengalami kontaminasi oleh butiran halus tanah dan terbenam
kedalam tanah lunak selama masa pelayanan. Hal ini akan
mengurangi ketebalan effective dari konstruksi perkerasan dan
kemudian menjadi rusak.
Lapisan pemisah Geotextile akan mencegah kontaminasi dari
butiran halus tanah dan membatasi agregate diatas dasar yang
lunak selama masa pelayanan. Hal ini akan meningkatkan
ketebalan efektif dan kemampuan konstruksi perkerasan.
