Course Objectives
This course takes an integrated approach to learn AutoCAD in both theory and practice. Starting from the basics and
moving on to more complex drawings, students will be provided knowledge needed to enter the field of technical
drafting. After completing the course, students will be able to:
use the functions and commands of AutoCAD software to develop civil engineering drawings.
locate and apply many features of AutoCAD that automate drafting process with increased accuracy in lesser
time compared to manual drafting.
locate and apply features of AutoCAD for the accurate addition of dimensions, drawings notes and labels.
present drawings in a detailed and visually impressive manner.
use the functions and commands of AutoCAD software to create isometric and three-dimensional drawings
and models.
