La famiglia Power è un General purpose PLC/CNC Controller
"All in One”.
Usa un linguaggio strutturato appositamente studiato che
permettere di ottenere una maggior omogeneità di program-
mazione tra i componenti che lo costituiscono:
Un potente CNC
Dispone di funzioni ad alto livello, che permette di eseguire
sequenze di comandi di movimento di assi, sia reali che virtuali,
interpolati e non. Oltre alle classiche interpolazioni lineari,
circolari ed elicoidali, supporta la generazione di profili di movi-
mento complessi come raccordi NURBS (spline), raccordi con
polinomi fino al 6°grado, rototraslazione nello spazio degli assi,
traslazione del percorso utensile tramite la funzione RTCP
(Rotating Tool Center Point), utensile tangenziale, sincronizza-
zione master/slave di assi in configurazione Gantry, Gearing o
Camming.
Un PLC flessibile
Dispone di variabili e strutture di varie dimensioni con il suppor-
to di un ampio assortimento di operatori e funzioni trigonome-
triche, matematiche e logiche.
L’esecutore PLC può usufruire, oltre del task ciclico principale,
di un task sincronizzato con il tempo di campionamento degli
assi e di più task secondari eseguibili in parallelo.
Con il PLC si possono gestire il movimento non interpolato
degli assi, il gearing, gli ingressi ad interrupt, gli I/O con funzioni
di timer avanzate, l’esecuzione di comandi grafici, le comunica-
zioni su porte seriali, ethernet, canbus mediante protocolli sia
standard (es. Modbus, CANopen ed EtherCAT) che custom (es.
Texcom).
Una completa interfaccia HMI
L’interfaccia HMI viene gestita tramite delle pagine grafiche che
possono essere create sia in forma testuale, grazie a dei
comandi evoluti, che in modo grafico mediante il tool di svilup-
po DrawingTool.
Le pagine, che possono essere gestite sia dal PLC che dal
CNC, si armonizzano con i vari ambienti di programmazione
utente disponibili (ISO, Macro ecc.) e consentono di effettuare
sessioni di introduzione dati ad alto livello che comprendono
anche la visualizzazione di tooltip, per segnalare eventuali
limitazioni del dato, e l’apertura automatica della tastiera touch
screen idonea al tipo di dato in fase di editing.
E' supportata la gestione multilingua e l'uso dei font Unicode.

The Power family is an "All in One" General purpose PLC /
CNC Controller.
It uses a specially designed structured language that allows for
greater programming homogeneity between the components
that make it up:
A powerful CNC
It has high-level functions, which allows you to execute
sequences of motion commands for axes, both real and virtual,
interpolated or not. In addition to the classic linear, circular and
helical interpolations, it supports the generation of complex
motion profiles such as NURBS (splines) fillets, fillets with
polynomials up to the 6th degree, roto-translation in the space
of the axes, translation of the tool path through the RTCP
(Rotating Tool Center Point), tangential tool, master / slave
synchronization of axes in Gantry, Gearing or Camming confi-
guration.
A flexible PLC
It has variables and structures of various sizes with the support
of a large assortment of trigonometric, mathematical and
logical operators and functions.
The PLC executor can use, in addition to the main cyclic task,
a synchronized task with the sampling time of the axes and
multiple secondary tasks that can be executed in parallel.
By using the PLC, it is possible to manage the non-interpolated
movement of the axes, the gearing, the interrupt inputs, the I /
O with advanced timer functions, the execution of graphic
commands, the communications on serial ports, ethernet,
canbus through both protocols standard (eg Modbus,
CANopen and EtherCAT) and custom (eg Texcom).
A complete HMI interface
The HMI interface is managed through graphic pages that can
be created both in textual form, thanks to advanced
commands, and graphically using the DrawingTool develop-
ment tool.
The pages, which can be managed both by the PLC and by the
CNC, harmonize with the various user programming environ-
ments available (ISO, Macro, etc.) and allow for high-level data
entry sessions that also include the display of tooltips, to
indicate any limitations of the data, and the automatic opening
of the touch screen keyboard suitable for the type of data
being edited.
Multilingual management and use of Unicode fonts are
supported.

Power A è il controllore TOP della Famiglia Power essendo
stato progettato per offrire le migliori performance possibili
nella gestione dei task PLC e CNC migliorando contemporane-
amente anche le comunicazioni via Ethernet.
Le sue maggiori prestazioni gli consentono di controllare il
movimento degli assi, anche quelli gestiti via EtherCAT, in
tempi di campionamento da 500 µs in su; il numero di assi
interpolati è configurabile da 16 a 32.
I movimenti interpolati vengono elaborati in multitasking
cooperativo tramite sei canali CNC.
La memoria ritentiva e l’orologio RTC del Power A non neces-
sitano di batteria tampone, riducendo così la manutenzione di
lungo termine che può rendersi necessaria durante il ciclo di
vita del prodotto.
Il Power A gestisce gli assi e gli I/O prevalentemente via
EtherCAT, perciò nella versione base è equipaggiato con pochi
I/O, 6 coppie di uscite Step/Direction ed altrettante interfacce
per encoder incrementali a 5V Line Driver; su richiesta è possibile
sviluppare delle schede di espansione ad hoc per rendere
disponibili ulteriori risorse.
Il suo equipaggiamento di base include anche una porta LVDS
con cui è possibile remotare il pannello HMI fino a 10 metri dal
quadro elettrico, 1 porta CANopen, 3 porte seriali e 1 porta
Wi-Fi/BLE.

Power A is the TOP level of the Power Family having been
designed to offer the best possible performance in the
management of PLC and CNC tasks while also improving
communications via Ethernet.
Its higher performances allow it to control the movement of the
axes, even those managed via EtherCAT, in sampling times
from 500 µs upwards; the number of interpolated axes is
configurable from 16 to 32.
The interpolated movements are processed in cooperative
multitasking via six CNC channels.
The retentive memory and the RTC clock of Power A do not
require a backup battery, thus reducing the long-term mainte-
nance that may be necessary during the life cycle of the
product.
The Power A manages the axes and the I/O mainly via Ether-
CAT, therefore in its basic version it is equipped with a few I/O,
6 pairs of Step / Direction outputs and as many interfaces for
5V Line Driver incremental encoders; on request it is possible
to develop ad hoc expansion cards to make additional resourc-
es available.
Its basic equipment also includes an LVDS port with which it is
possible to remote the HMI panel up to 10 meters from the
electrical panel, 1 CANopen port, 3 serial ports and 1 Wi-Fi /
BLE port.

Questo controllore “All In One” è stato ingegnerizzato per
rispettare i requisiti tecnici ed economici specifici per la
produzione, in volumi medio/alti, di macchine di serie.
Il suo massimo vantaggio competitivo si concretizza nel
segmento di mercato delle macchine con 3 assi interpolati, ma
siamo comunque riusciti ad ottenere un interessantissimo
rapporto costo/prestazioni anche quando non ci sono degli
assi da gestire.
Power B è stato progettato in un contenitore da pannello
compatto, orientabile anche in verticale, equipaggiabile con
LCD touch screen da 7 "o 10".
Il suo controllore grafico, che può supportare anche LCD di
dimensioni maggiori, è dotato di una memoria Flash da 128
MB (espandibili) che può contenere immagini o filmati esplicativi
creati per facilitare l’uso e/o la manutenzione della macchina
tramite tutorial, consentendo così l’implementazione di un
servizio di supporto all'assistenza tecnica di tipo locale (LIoT).
La sua dotazione di base può essere facilmente ampliata
tramite CANopen; se le quantità da produrre sono interessanti,
è anche possibile creare una scheda di espansione ad hoc per
aggiungere le risorse necessarie ad una specifica applicazi-
one.

This “All In One” controller has been designed to meet the
specific technical and economic requirements for the produc-
tion, in medium / high volumes, of series machines.
Its maximum competitive advantage is realized in the market
segment of machines with 3 interpolated axes, however we
have obtained an extremely interesting cost / performance ratio
even when there are no axes to manage.
Power B has been designed in a compact panel enclosure,
which can also be oriented vertically, which can be equipped
with a 7 "or 10" LCD touch screen.
Its graphic controller, which can also support larger LCDs, is
equipped with a 128 MB (expandable) Flash memory that can
contain explanatory images or movies created to facilitate the
use and / or maintenance of the machine through tutorials,
allowing thus the implementation of a local support service for
technical assistance (LIoT).
Its basic equipment can be easly extended via CANopen; if the
quantities to be produced are interesting, it is also possible to
create an ad hoc expansion card to add the necessary resources
to a specific application.

Power D+
Questo sistema “All-in-One” è adatto al controllo
di macchine complesse, con fino a 28 assi inter-
polabili, gestibili sia in logica cablata (+/-10V e/o
Step/Direction) che tramite i fieldbus CANopen
(standard), EtherCAT o Mechatrolink-II (opziona-
li).
Particolarmente adatto nel caso di cicli macchina
molto rapidi può eseguire files ISO di notevoli
dimensioni con un numero di assi e/o di I/O “on
board” estremamente elevati.
Power D+ può essere dotato di espansioni I/O
disponibili in due versioni: un'espansione
fornisce fino a 96 I/O digitali più 16 ingressi
analogici l'altra espansione fornisce fino a 128
I/O digitali.
Power I
Tra i controllori “All in one”, che gestiscono gli
assi tramite il fieldbus EtherCAT, Power I è il più
economico. Può gestirli, inoltre, sia in logica
cablata (+/-10V e/o Step/Direction) che in
CANopen.
Questo controllo è particolarmente indicato in
automazioni con un numero limitato di assi in cui
è necessario disporre di una buona potenza di
calcolo, di un'elevata velocità di esecuzione e/o
della connettività Wi-Fi/BLE.

This "All-in-One" system is suitable for the control
of complex machines, with up to 28 interpolable
axes, manageable both in wired logic (+/- 10V
and / or Step / Direction) and via CANopen (stan-
dard), EtherCAT or Mechatrolink-II (optional)
fieldbuses.
Particularly suitable for machines cycles very fast
can run ISO files of considerable size dimensions

Power D+ can be equipped by I/O expansions

Power U
E’ il controllore della Famiglia Power che ha
come target l’automazione di macchine di media
complessità, con fino a 12 assi interpolati gestibili
sia in logica cablata (+/-10V e/o Step/Direction)
che tramite i fieldbus CANopen (standard),
EtherCAT o Mechatrolink-II (opzionali).
A livello economico il massimo vantaggio
competitivo si ottiene aggiungendo al controllore
base la scheda opzionale di espansione che
consente di espandere gli I/O digitali “on board”
fino ad un massimo di 155 punti ripartibili secondo
le varie esigenze.
E’ comunque sempre possibile aggiungere I/O
remotati tramite i fieldbus CANopen (standard)
e/o EtherCAT (opzionale).
Power J+
Raccomandato per applicazioni con fino a 4 assi
interpolati in cui sia necessario contenere i costi
e/o gli ingombri del controllore che, essendo un
“All In One” molto compatto, può essere anche
equipaggiato con un display touch screen di soli
7”.
La sua dotazione base di 24+20 I/O digitali può
essere espansa sia localmente, tramite
un’economica interfaccia da guida DIN con
16+16 I/O digitali, che remotando gli I/O via
CANopen.

It is the controller of the Power Family which
targets the automation of medium complexity
machines, with up to 12 interpolated axes that
can be managed both in wired logic
(+/- 10V and / or Step / Direction) and via the
fieldbus CANopen (standard), EtherCAT or
Mechatrolink-II (optional).
From an economic point of view, the maximum
competitive advantage is obtained by adding the
optional expansion card to the basic controller
which allows you to expand the "on board"
digital I/O up to a maximum of 155 points which
can be distributed according to the various
needs.
However, it is always possible to add remote I/O
via the CANopen (standard) and / or EtherCAT

Power L
Il target di mercato di questo Programmable
Automation Controller “All In One” è l’automazione
basata sul movimento degli assi in “anello
aperto”, cioè senza il feedback di posizione nel
controllore. Questo tipo di gestione del movi-
mento è possibile qualora il motore sia uno
stepper (oppure un brushless con il feedback di
posizione chiuso solo sull’azionamento) comandato
in Step/Direction o in CANopen.
Poiché a livello economico il massimo vantaggio
competitivo si ottiene comandando gli assi
tramite le uscite Step/Direction, il Power L è stato
equipaggiato con questo tipo di uscite in modo
da poter interpolare fino a 4 assi, ma in più offre
anche la possibilità di chiudere l’anello di posizione
tramite encoder in 2 degli assi più critici da
gestire che, nel caso di un pantografo cartesiano,
sono gli assi X e Y.
ALTRO
Power Z
Questo controllore PLC + HMI con integrate
funzionalità di “Motion control” rappresenta il
prodotto di accesso alla Famiglia Power.
Rispetto a tutti gli altri non dispone dell’esecutore
CNC, quindi non può effettuare movimenti inter-
polati, ma offre comunque la possibilità di gestire
applicazioni sofisticate come l’albero elettrico, la
camma elettronica ed il taglio al volo. Come nel
caso del Power L, il suo target di mercato sono le
automazioni che possono essere gestite tramite
degli assi comandati in anello aperto, ma in
questo caso si possono gestire in Step/Direction
fino a 3 assi.
Disponendo anche di un’uscita analogica a +/-
10V, di 2 interfacce per encoder incrementali a
5V Line Driver e della porta CANopen, si
possono comunque gestire fino ad un massimo
di 4 assi.
La sua dotazione base di 10+10 I/O digitali può
essere espansa sia localmente, tramiteun’eco-
nomica interfaccia da guida DIN con 16+16 I/O
digitali, che remotando gli I/O via CANopen.

The market target of this "All In One" Program-
mable Automation Controller is the automation
based on the movement of the axes in "open
loop", i.e. without the position feedback in the
controller.
This type of motion management is possible if
the motor is a stepper (or a brushless with closed
position feedback only on the drive) controlled in
Step/Direction or CANopen.
Since on an economic level the maximum
competitive advantage is obtained by controlling
the axes via Step/Direction outputs, Power L has
been equipped with this type of outputs so as to
be able to interpolate up to 4 axes, but in
addition it also offers the possibility of closing the
position loop via encoder in 2 of the most critical
axes to be managed which, in the case of a
Cartesian pantograph, are the X and Y axes.
This PLC + HMI controller with integrated
"Motion control" functionality represents the
access product to the Power Family.
Compared to all the other, it does not include the
CNC executor, therefore it cannot perform inter-
polated movements, but it still offers the possibi-
lity of managing sophisticated applications such
as gearing, camming and “on fly” cutting.
As in the case of Power L, its market target is the
automations that can be managed through axes
controlled in open loop, but in this case only 3
axes can be managed via Step/Direction
outputs.
In addiction Power L includes one +/-10V analog
output, two 5V Line Driver incremental encoders
inputs and one CANopen port, so it is possible
to manage a maximum of 4 axes.
Its basic equipment of 10 + 10 digital I/O can be
expanded both locally, through an economical
DIN rail interface providing 16 + 16 digital I/O,
and by remote I/O via CANopen.

Il Power X è una "scheda elettronica a giorno" che va
inserita a bordo della carpenteria meccanica della
macchina; con essa il concetto di controllore “All In
One” si estende fino a comprendere anche la
gestione integrata di 4 motori stepper bifase,
alimentabili fino a 36Vdc, con assorbimenti di 1,8A o
3A rms/fase.
Qualora fosse necessario è comunque possibile
comandare uno o più azionamenti esterni, alternativi
a quelli integrati a bordo della scheda, tramite delle
uscite Step/Direction disponibili in un connettore per
cavo piatto.
La scheda è dotata di una memoria Flash da 128 MB
(espandibili) che può contenere immagini o filmati
esplicativi creati per facilitare l’uso e/o la manutenzione
della macchina tramite tutorial, consentendo così
l’implementazione di un servizio locale di supporto
all'assistenza tecnica (LIoT).
Per l’interfaccia utente si possono adottare le
seguenti soluzioni:
a) Collegare alla porta LVDS della scheda uno dei ns.
pannelli remoti di serie che sono equipaggiabili con
display da 7”, 10” o 15”
b) Assemblare direttamente sulla carpenteria mec-
canica della macchina il display LCD con la relativa
scheda di interfaccia verso la porta LVDS della
scheda; in questo caso è possibile utilizzare, oltre ai
display elencati sopra, anche il display da 18,5”.
c) Utilizzare un PC Windows realizzando un software
ad hoc per gestire le librerie TexCom.NET che
vengono messe a disposizione gratuitamente a chi ce
le richiede.

Power X is an "electronic board without case" which
must be inserted on board the mechanical carpentry
of the machine; with it, the "All In One" controller
concept extends to include the integrated manage-
ment of 4 two-phase stepper motors, which can be
powered up to 36Vdc, with absorption of 1.8A or 3A
rms/phase.
If necessary, it is however possible to control one or
more external drives, alternative to those integrated
on the board, by means of the Step/Direction outputs

Tex Smart Gateway 4.0, è un sistema intelligente in
grado di far comunicare tra loro i controlli della serie
Power (lato OT Operative Technology) ed i server o PC di
fabbrica (lato IT Informative Tecnology), realizzando così
l’integrazione tra i dati prodotti dai 2 mondi come richiesto
dal paradigma I4.0.
Può essere adatto sia per macchine molto semplici
progettate per eseguire un unico ciclo di lavoro comple-
tamente standardizzato (esempio trance, taglierine,

TSG_Runtime é un software per sistemi operativi
Windows ed è il cuore del sistema.
E’ in grado di interfacciarsi in modo standardizzato sia

che verso i sistemi gestionali dell’End User.
Lo standard adottato è l’OPC 40501-1 Machine Monito-

both very simple machines designed to perform a single

TSG_Runtime is a software for Windows operating
systems, it is the heart of the system. It is capable of
interfacing in a standardized way both to various devices

Per questo la famiglia di controllori Power, grazie alla sua scalabi-
lità nei costi e nelle prestazioni ed alla sua flessibilità di program-
mazione, ha trovato largo impiego sia nel segmento delle
macchine fustellatrici, cartonatrici e cellofanatrici, che in quello
del taglio e del confezionamento di insaccati e formaggi. Nel
primo caso il suo vantaggio competitivo è dovuto principalmente
alla disponibilità di specifici comandi che semplificano l’uso delle
tecniche di gearing e di camming, nonché alla possibilità di
gestire con il PLC le uscite veloci necessarie per effettuare un
preciso deposito della colla. Nel secondo caso, insieme alle
precedenti funzionalità, viene offerta anche l’opportunità di
utilizzare la programmazione in G-code per definire un qualunque
layout di deposito delle fette.
Per le applicazioni di flow-pack, di taglio al volo e di stampa
rotativa sono disponibili le funzioni di “gearing additivo” e la
gestione in interruzione degli ingressi veloci.
Anche in questo settore sono frequenti le applicazioni di robotica
e di Pick & Place per cui rimandiamo il lettore alle considerazioni

Sottolineiamo infine che, in tutti i controllori della famiglia Power,

flexibility, has found wide use both in the segment of die-cutting,
case packer and cellophane wrapping machines, and in that of
cutting and packaging of sausages and cheeses.
In the first case, its competitive advantage is mainly due to the
availability of specific commands that simplify the use of gearing
and camming techniques, as well as the ability to manage, with
the PLC, the fast outputs necessary to make a precise glue
deposit.
In the second case, together with the previous functionalities, it is

Essi infatti sono in grado di movimentare i robot più comu-
nemente utilizzati, come robot cartesiani, delta, scara, pick
& place e pallettizzatori, e trovano facile impiego anche per
soluzioni speciali e multiprocesso.
Per ottenere dei movimenti fluidi e rapidi sono state svilup-
pate le seguenti funzioni:
• smooth interpolation
• raccordi tramite polinomi di 5° grado
• applicazione di 6 differenti livelli di jerk nelle varie fasi del
movimento
Anche in questo caso l'utente finale ha a disposizione un
ambiente di programmazione basato su una libreria di
funzioni ad alto livello (macro), con la possibilità di inserire
posizioni anche in autoapprendimento. Le macro, e le
relative pagine di HMI, possono essere facilmente create o
modificate, per consentire di personalizzare l'applicazione.
Date le elevate prestazioni richieste in questo settore,
solitamente si usano controllori come Power I+, Power D e
Power A, ma, per non sforare il budget nelle soluzioni più
semplici ed economiche, si possono usare con soddisfa-
zione anche Power B e Power J+.

riconosciuto nel mondo per la qualità delle finiture e per
l’attenzione riposta nei dettagli e nelle tendenze di moda.
Tex Automation collabora proficuamente con partner italiani e

Robots are increasingly used in the Digital Factory to incre-
ase the efficiency and accuracy of processes. Tex Auto-
mation's Power series controllers have been specifically
designed for this market target.
In fact, they are able to move the most commonly used
robots, such as Cartesian robots, delta, scara, pick &
place and palletizers, and they are also easy to use for
special and multiprocess solutions.
The following functions have been developed to obtain
fluid and rapid movements:
• smooth interpolation
• fittings 5th degree polynomials
• application of 6 different levels of jerk in the various
phases of the movement
Also in this case, the end user has at his disposal a
programming environment based on a library of high-level
functions (macro), with the possibility of inserting positions
even in self-learning.
The macros, and the related HMI pages, can be easily
created or modified, to allow you to customize the applica-
tion.
Given the high performance required in this sector, control-
lers such as Power I+, Power D and Power A are usually
used, but, in order not to exceed the budget in the
simplest and most economical solutions, Power B and
Power J+ can also be used with satisfaction.

Traditionally, the Italian textile-footwear sector is
recognized worldwide for the quality of the finishes and the
attention paid to details and fashion trends.
Tex Automation collaborates profitably with italian and
stranieri allo scopo di offrire soluzioni tecnologiche avanzate
da impiegare nelle macchine per la fresatura delle suole,
nelle chiodatrici e nelle perforatrici nonché nelle macchine
da taglio, stenditura e cucitura dei tessuti.
Infatti, grazie all’applicazione delle funzioni NURBS (spline),
alla gestione dell’asse tangente compensato e una gestione
intelligente del JERK è possibile ottimizzare le prestazioni
delle macchine di taglio, fresatura ed incollaggio della pelle e
dei tessuti anche quando vengono richieste velocità elevate.
Il Tool Center Point per compensare il disassamento della
lama perfeziona l’esecuzione dei profili di tagli artistici.
La funzione INADVANCE per le macchine incollatrici permet-
te di anticipare la chiusura dell’ugello di erogazione della
colla in funzione della velocità o dello spazio desiderati.
Nel campo della cucitura, il successo dei controllori Power è
dovuto alla disponibilità di efficienti algoritmi per la gestione
dell'albero elettrico e dell’esecuzione di traiettorie spezzetta-
te in trattini “stop&go” che, al fine di ridurre i tempi del ciclo,
vengono ottimizzati in base al passo cucitura. Per ridurre al
minimo la latenza nella partenza degli assi sono state svilup-
pate inoltre delle macro funzioni PLC che vengono eseguite
ad alta velocità.
Data la rapidità di questi movimenti, si preferiscono i control-
lori Power A, Power D o Power I pilotando gli azionamenti
tramite le uscite step/direction che permettono l’impiego di
tempi di campionamento inferiori rispetto a quelli richiesti per
gestire gli assi via EtherCAT. Per gestire le applicazioni per
lavorazioni che non richiedono l’esecuzione di profili ad alta
velocità quali la foratura, l’incollaggio e il lavaggio industriale
si preferiscono invece Power B e Power U.

Un’importante prerogativa dei controllori Power è certa-
mente la loro adattabilità, ovvero essere dei veri e propri
controllori “general-purpose” che possono essere utilizzati
con successo in qualunque tipo di applicazione.
Per questo il loro impiego è particolarmente gradito ai
costruttori di macchine speciali, dove spesso occorre
coniugare la programmazione in G-code per eseguire le
classiche lavorazioni CNC alla possibilità di utilizzare anche
un linguaggio orientato alla robotica (Macro) per effettuare
operazioni di carico, scarico, palletizzazione, ecc.
Applicazioni complesse di questo tipo si possono realizza-
re facilmente grazie al potente task PLC e alla possibilità di
far eseguire 4 task CNC in parallelo, che aumentano a 6
nel Power A e Power D.

nailers and perforators as well as in machines for cutting,
spreading and sewing fabrics.
In fact, thanks to the application of the NURBS (spline)
functions, the management of the compensated tangent
axis and an intelligent management of the JERK, it is
possible to optimize the performance of the cutting, milling
and gluing machines for leather and fabrics even when
high speeds are required. . The Tool Center Point to com-
pensate for the offset of the blade perfects the execution
of artistic cutting profiles.
The INADVANCE function for gluing machines allows you
to anticipate the closure of the glue dispensing nozzle
according to the desired speed or space.
In the sewing field, the success of the Power controllers is
due to the availability of efficient algorithms for the mana-
gement of the electric shaft and the execution of trajecto-
ries broken up into "stop & go" dashes which, in order to
reduce cycle times, are optimized in according to the
sewing pitch. In order to minimize the latency in the
starting of the axes, PLC macro functions have been
developed which are executed at high speed.
Given the speed of these movements, Power A, Power D
or Power I controllers are preferred by piloting the drives
via the step / direction outputs which allow the use of
sampling times shorter than those required to manage the
axes via EtherCAT. To manage applications for machining
that do not require the execution of high-speed profiles
such as drilling, gluing and industrial washing, Power B
and Power U are preferred.

AUTOMATED STORAGE
A key prerogative of Power controllers is certainly their
adaptability, that is being a real general-purpose control-
lers that can be successfully used in any type of applica-
tion.
For this reason, their use is particularly appreciated by the
manufacturers of special machines, where it is often
necessary to combine G-code programming to perform
classic CNC machining with the possibility of also using a
robotics-oriented language (Macro) to carry out loading
and unloading operations, palletization, etc.
Complex applications of this type can be easily realized
thanks to the powerful PLC task and the possibility of
running 4 CNC tasks in parallel, which increase to 6 in
Power A and Power D.
