WET SYSTEM VALVE ASSEMBLIES
THE WET SYSTEM VALVE ASSEMBLIES is the easiest and most popular
sprinkler system and it is generally installed in those areas that are not
subject to freeze.
The operating principle is very simple: the wet alarm valve works like a
standard check valve but it also generates alarms when operating; this
feature is typical of all sprinkler systems.
Both upstream and downstream valve tubes are filled with water, the
crash of a sprinkler makes the system operate immediately against the
fire.
The system consists of the check valve, wet alarm and hydraulic alarm
bell.
The wet systems are the most reliable; it is very easy to use them and
the costs for installation and maintenance are very cheap.

DRY SYSTEM VALVE ASSEMBLIES
THE DRY SYSTEM VALVE ASSEMBLIES is installed in those areas subject

to freeze or in loading areas or not heated parkings.
The operating principle is similar to the principle of wet systems, the
only difference being that upstream the alarm valve, in the distribution
system in the protected area, the tubes are not filled with water but with
compressed air or nitrogen.
The crash of a sprinkler generates a pressure fall which makes the
alarm valve open so that the water can reach the distribution valve and
extinguish the fire.
All the components are manufactured in order to let the valve open rapidly
so that an immediate effective action against the fire is guaranteed.
Such components like the accelerator give even better results in the
operating time speed.
Although they are more complicated than the wet systems, their
manufacturing quality guarantees constant performances over the
years and cheap maintenance costs.

It is generally used both for deluge installations protecting areas such
as airport hangar and for installations protecting areas where, for

PRE-ACTION SYSTEM
THE PRE-ACTION SYSTEM is specially manufactured for those

applications where it is determinant to avoid an accidental operation
of the system or in replacement of large dry sprinkler systems to make
them operate faster.
These systems are excellent for data processing centres, control
centres, bookshops, valuable documents archives and refrigerating
rooms.
In some cases, the pre-action systems, combined with carbon dioxide
extinguishing systems underfloor, may replace the classical gas
extinguishing systems.
Those systems using a single interlock device need a detection device
before the water reaches the distribution tubes and the sprinklers.
This system prevents from getting wet because of accidental breaks.
Water can flow in the protected area only when the detection device
alarm is activated.
In the double interlock device systems, before the water reaches the
distribution system, both the detector and the sprinkler crash are
needed.
This scheme guarantees an even higher protection against any damage
caused by accidental discharges.

INERT GAS FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEMS
INERT GAS
THE PROPOSED TOTAL SATURATION EXTINGUISHING , use

gas air as Argon, Nitrogen and a mixture of Argon/Nitrogen. They are
classified in the national and international standard with acronym
IG01, IG100, and IG55 respectively.
These gases are pure,they do not stratify allowing a very good visible
during the discharge, with a uniform saturation and a protract con-
centration in a protected area.
The gases in the air do not have any environmental impact (GWP null
or ODP= 0)and their use, on the contrary of the chemical gases, is
indeterminate during the time.
The inert gases extinguish the fire reducing the oxygen concentration
in the air. So it is necessary to prevent the leakage of the extinguishing
from the protected area to obtain an effective extinguish.
The inert gas system use also big capacity cylinders (80 and 140 lt)
with pressures from 200 to 300 bar, that make the system compact
and cheap.
The components of the systems are marked CE and certified in com-
pliance with EN 12904 Norm and Directive 97/23/CE -99/36/CE.
The operating pressure below the discharge collector is reduced at
40-80 Bar allowing the use of existing halon and CO2 system tubes
with remarkable save of installation costs.
The measurement of the distribution system, of the nozzles and their
hole are made using a computerized calculation performed by VDS in
compliance with the in force norms.
The cylinders of inert gas system can be put at a large distance, and
using directional valves, are guaranteed flexibility and cheapness.
