WARNINGS
The perfect conservation and efficiency cooling equipment mainly depend on the strict observance of the instructions contained in
this manual.
For calibration, modification or attempted repair by unauthorized personnel, for mishandling, or if the installation is in a room with
electrical system does not comply with current standards in safety, the manufacturer assumes no responsibility.
The recommendations below should be read carefully by the user, as they provide important information regarding the safe
installation, use and maintenance and eventual disposal.
Also, before operating the equipment, it is necessary that employees be trained on the contents of this instruction manual, operation
and maintenance.
Keep this manual for future reference.
This booklet must be kept and transmitted to potential new users of the device.
1 INSTALLAZIONE E AVVERTENZE PER LA SICUREZZA
After unpacking to do a thorough cleaning of the entire unit, for this operation verify the methods described in 11. PERIODIC
MAINTENANCE (the unit is supplied as standard, however, already clean and ready for normal operation).
ALSO:
1) Do not place the appliance outdoors or expose to rain: the maximum external environmental conditions for the proper functioning
of the device are specified in the data plate located inside the refrigerator (see also 2. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS).
2) The appliance should be unpacked and installed by one person or by a qualified technician in order to avoid damage to persons or
property. After removing the packaging, make sure the appliance. In case of doubt and / or damaged, contact the supplier
immediately and do not use it.
3) The unit should be placed on a flat surface and to the proper functioning is essential that the same is perfectly level: to get what the
adjustable feet. Do not leave the unit on the pallet supply.
4) Place the unit in a ventilated place, away from sources of heat (radiators, cookers) and not exposed to sunlight. For the lighting,
the region where it is suggested the use of fluorescent lamps.
5) The equipment must be against a wall. If it must be moved, unplug the power cord before moving plug from the socket.
6) The device is lockable for closing the door. The lock keys must be kept out of reach of children and unauthorized personnel and
trained personnel.
7) It 'absolutely forbidden to touch the appliance with wet or damp hands or feet.

COMMISSIONING AND OUT OF SERVICE

Before connecting the machine to the power outlet to let still for about 1 hour. If the transport is done by placing the device in a
horizontal position, it is advisable to wait 24 hours.
Check that the actual voltage supply corresponds to that indicated on the rating plate. Do not place anything on top of the unit eg.
containers, plants, etc.. and leave a space of at least 20 cm above the device.
The electrical socket to which the appliance is connected must be adequately protected and connected to the ground according to
applicable regulations (eg differential thermal Inmax = 16A, Id = 0.03 A).

2 ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

5 PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Packing
The packaging material is 100% recyclable and is marked with the recycling symbol. For disposal, comply with local
regulations. The packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts, etc.). Should be kept out of reach of children as a
potential source of danger.

Refrigerated equipment
Rottamatelo according to local regulations for the disposal of waste. Make it unusable by cutting off the electric power
cable, also detach the door. To dispose of the metal parts, plastics, electronic boards, lead-acid batteries, compressor oil
and freon, follow local regulations for disposal.
This appliance is marked according to the European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic

6 USO PREVISTO PER L’APPARECCHIATURA
This equipment must be designed for laboratory use for refrigeration / storage at controlled temperature of -20/-30 ° C, biological
material in general, serums, vaccines, other industrial products, as long as chemically inert, non-flammable, non-explosive and
mostly packaged. If hazardous to human contact must be stored properly by the user, with enclosures, so that the contact is

May not be introduced animals of any kind.

STRUTTURA
I congelatori verticali sono dotati di cassetti scorrevoli, posti al di sopra delle griglie di congelamento conformate a serpentina (con
tale sistema ogni cassetto viene raffreddato sopra e sotto, per la massima uniformità di temperatura interna).
Compressore ermetico.
Struttura monocorpo, rivestimento esterno ed interno in lamiera di acciaio preverniciata o plastificata bianca, oppure in acciaio inox
lucido AISI 304, angoli interni arrotondati; isolamento con poliuretano espanso in situ ad alta densità (40 Kg/mc.) privo di CFC e
circuito raffreddante con impiego di HFC e/o altri refrigeranti ecocompatibili; porte reversibili con guarnizioni magnetiche e chiusura
automatica, serratura con chiave, piedini regolabili; compressore ermetico con condensazione ad aria; bassi consumi energetici e
silenziosità garantita; senza necessità di sbrinamento e dunque minime fluttuazioni di T nel tempo.

SERIES KFCE (Kalt Chest Freezer with Elite)
KW propone questa nuova serie caratterizzata da un’ampia gamma di volumi e da una struttura a pozzo, caratterizzati da un
eccezionale spessore isolante. L’esecuzione completamente sigillata del circuito refrigerante e l’impiego di un compressore ermetico
rendono questi congelatori molto affidabili e silenziosi, anche in condizioni ambientali critiche. Sia i materiali, che i fluidi
impiegati sono tutti eco compatibili, con particolare attenzione ai problemi dell’ozonosfera e dell’effetto serra.
La dotazione strumentale è tipica di un congelatore professionale scientifico di alto livello, con regolazione elettronico digitale
della temperatura, con display digitale a leds, con allarme di T min/max, con contatti predisposti per la remotizzazione del
segnale di allarme.
La chiusura dotata di serratura con chiave e la refrigerazione con evaporatore avvolto all’esterno della vasca ne fanno
un’apparecchiatura da laboratorio molto sicura sia per l’accesso che per la stabilità e la uniformità della temperatura di
conservazione, non avendo necessità alcuna di sbrinamenti nel tempo.
Un’ampia gamma di accessori consentono un’adeguata personalizzazione del congelatore da parte dell’utenza.

corrente ed un consumo molto ridotto di energia.

La serie è dotata di serratura con chiave, di illuminazione interna, di dispositivo di scarico all’esterno dell’aria calda e dell’umidità in

KRFDE (Kalt Refrigerator Freezer with Drawers Elite)
LINEA ELITE
KW propone questa nuova serie di frigo congelatori, caratterizzata, nel vano freezer, dalla struttura a cassetti estraibili, per il
miglior utilizzo del volume interno e per il minor consumo energetico, anche a mezzo di un adeguato spessore isolante. Ogni
vano dispone di un proprio impianto frigorifero, indipendente dall’altro. L’esecuzione, specifica per la destinazione d’uso, e
completamente sigillata dei circuiti refrigeranti e l’impiego di compressori ermetici rendono questi frigo congelatori molto
affidabili e silenziosi, anche in condizioni ambientali critiche. Sia i materiali, che i fluidi impiegati sono tutti eco compatibili,
con particolare attenzione ai problemi dell’ozonosfera e dell’effetto serra. La dotazione strumentale è tipica dei frigoriferi e dei
congelatori professionali scientifici di alto livello:
per ciascun vano, si hanno una regolazione elettronico digitale della temperatura, con display digitale a leds, con allarme di T
min/max, con contatti predisposti per la remotizzazione del segnale di allarme.
Le chiusure, dotate di serrature con chiave, ed i particolari sistemi di refrigerazione,con due compressori, ne fanno
un’apparecchiatura da laboratorio molto sicura, sia per l’accesso, che per la stabilità e la uniformità della temperatura di
conservazione, non avendo necessità alcuna di sbrinamenti nel tempo.
Un’ampia gamma di accessori consentono un’adeguata personalizzazione del frigo congelatore da parte dell’utenza.
Questa serie è il frutto dell’impegno e dell’esperienza della KW nel settore della refrigerazione nei laboratori scientifici, con
particolare riguardo al settore della ricerca bio medica ed ospedaliero.

La struttura esterna è costituita da un mobile con profilo arrotondato, in lamiera di acciaio verniciato bianco, con sportelli reversibili
e dotati di chiusure con serrature con chiave. Il mobile è inoltre dotato di piedini sulla parte anteriore e di piccole ruote posteriori,
per facilitarne il trasporto ed il posizionamento in laboratorio. Le maniglie degli sportelli sono con meccanismo di apertura interno e
consentono manovre con minimo sforzo da parte dell’utente.
I vani interni sono in materiale plastico bianco: ABS antiabrasione con spigoli completamente arrotondati per facilitare la pulizia. Lo
spessore medio isolante è circa 40 mm. nel vano frigo e 70 mm. nel vano congelatore, con resine poliuretaniche espanse in situ
altamente ecologiche. Ciò, assieme all’impiego dei cassetti, garantisce un’ottima tenuta contro la dispersioni termiche, consentendo
così consumi energetici davvero bassi. Nella zona a bassa T, i cassetti sono in materiale plastico, chiudono lo spazio fra una piastra
evaporativa e l’altra, impediscono la fuoriuscita di freddo ogni qual volta l’utente apre lo sportello del congelatore, offrono inoltre la
migliore sistemazione dei prodotti biologici.
Le piastre evaporative sottraggono calore ai materiali stoccati all’interno in modo diretto e dunque rapido e senza alcuna necessità di
sbrinamento, garantendo altresì la massima stabilità nella temperatura di conservazione, oltre alla massima uniformità.
Il pannello di controllo unisce un design semplice e moderno ad una grande comfort di utilizzo. Per ogni vano esiste un’unità di
controllo. L’elettronica mantiene i valori di set in modo affidabile e preciso; i display luminosi digitali a leds consentono di
controllare subito i valori di T all’interno dei vani. Questo controllo inoltre garantisce una sicurezza totale del materiale biologico
stoccato, con l’allarme acustico (buzzer tacitabile) e visivo; esso informa subito l’utenza circa aumenti o abbassamenti indesiderati
delle T di set e consente, con i kit di remotizzazione, la comunicazione a distanza dell’evento di allarme; è possibile inoltre (opzione)
disporre di una allarme guasto energia, con alimentazione in corrente continua a mezzo di alimentatore switching e batteria 12 V dc
da 1,2 Ah.

Il pannello di controllo è già predisposto per l’installazione (opzione) di un registratore di T a disco a ciclo settimanale, con doppia
penna, con batteria indipendente (in c.c.) dalla rete di alimentazione
Accessori:

− Registratore su disco a ciclo settimanale, due penne, autoalimentato 1,5 Vdc

REFRIGERAZIONE
I gruppi frigoriferi sono incorporati nel mobile; i compressori sono del tipo ermetico, ad elevata
capacità refrigerante; le superficie di condensazione (ad aria) sono molto ampie, per sopperire alle
più severe condizioni ambientali e di lavoro. La espansione del fluido frigorigeno é ottenuta
mediante tubo capillare.
TERMOREGOLAZIONE E CONTROLLI
Questo apparecchio è dotato, di serie, di:

- Chiusura a chiave
- Contatti liberi e spinotto + presa per la remotizzazione dei segnali di allarme
L’allarme guasto energia permette, qualora si verifichi un’interruzione di corrente, visualizzare
comunque la temperatura del vano, di lanciare un segnale acustico (tacitabile) immediato, e di
cambiare lo stato del contatto di allarme remotocce, se collegato, permette immediatamente di
segnalare il problema a distanza.

REGISTRATORE GRAFICO DI TEMPERATURA: Il registratore grafico installato

sull’apparecchio ha lo scopo di registrare la temperatura esistente all’interno della camera
settimanalmente ed ogni sua variazione che si verifica nel corso della settimana. Il grafico
deve essere sostituito ogni settimana avendo cura di riportare la data di inizio e fine del
periodo di registrazione per poter riscontrare e certificare la stabilità termica a cui è sottoposto
il materiale in tale periodo. Dato il range di temperatura dell’apparecchio (0—30°C) è stato
installato un registratore con gamma -35/+35°C al fine di centrare maggiormente la
registrazione grafica e renderla più esplicativa e precisa possibile.
Il registratore in oggetto è dotato di pennino ad inchiostro, (sostituibile dopo un periodo di
un anno circa) dischetto grafico (a durata settimanale) e chiave di chiusura in modo tale

che possa agire sul dischetto grafico solo personale autorizzato. L’alimentazione del
registratore è data da una pila installata nel corpo del registratore che sarà sostituita quando si
esaurirà (hanno solitamente ha una vita molto lunga); a causa dell’indipendenza di tale
registratore dall’alimentazione elettrica dell’impianto del laboratorio e dell’apparecchio su
cui è installato, al verificarsi di black-out elettrici accadrà che il registratore continuerà a
funzionare malgrado l’apparecchio si fermi con conseguente registrazione del fenomeno di
innalzamento della temperatura (dente termico) dovuto al non funzionamento
dell’apparecchio per la mancata erogazione della corrente elettrica.
Il registratore è dotato di bulbo ad espansione di gas installato all’interno della camera.
CONSERVAZIONE DEI PRODOTTI BIOLOGICI

Nel congelatore dove si raggiungono i –25 °C –30°C è possibile conservare per alcuni mesi i prodotti congelati.
Ogni singolo cassetto ed ogni griglia di raffreddamento possono sopportare un carico distribuito < 10 Kg.
Per conservare al meglio è opportuno utilizzare appositi contenitori o disporre di materiali in confezione.
ATTENZIONE: non riporre contenitori di vetro contenenti liquidi o solidi caldi.
Non introdurre materiale volatile infiammabile !!!!!!
INDICAZIONI PER LA CONGELAZIONE

Introdurre sempre confezioni asciutte per evitare che più confezioni, congelandosi formino un unico
blocco.
Preparare i prodotti biologici sempre a piccole dosi o porzioni, per consentire una rapida
congelazione.
- Per i modelli con 4/5/6 cassetti bisogna utilizzare i ripiani superiori, per una rapida
congelazione; non far mai congelare i prodotti a T ambiente, sui cassetti.
- Congelare sui primi 2 ripiani posandoli direttamente sulla griglia di raffreddamento e riporli
quindi, a congelazione avvenuta, nei ripiani a cassetti scorrevoli adatti alla conservazione.
- Per i modelli a 3 cassetti usare il comparto superiore adatto al congelamento.
- Dopo 26 ore dall’inizio del congelamento, i prodotti possono essere messi nei cassetti.
- Introdurre al max 4 Kg. alla volta.
SICUREZZE OPERATORE:
L’apparecchio è dotato di fusibile bipolare (F+N) sulla linea di alimentazione atto a
proteggere l’operatore che si potrebbe trovare in condizioni di pericolosità qualora un
conduttore dell’apparecchio andasse a toccare la carcassa metallica.

9 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

Any work carried out on the device by the user even require the separation of the plug from the socket. The mechanical parts of the
refrigerator do not require regular maintenance, but for the long life of the appliance is essential to a thorough periodic cleaning:
• CABINET: simply wipe with a soft dry cloth, in the case of stubborn stains use warm water and neutral detergent, then rinse and dry:
• STEEL PARTS: wash with warm water and mild soap, dry with a soft cloth, avoid scouring pads or steel wool that can deteriorate
the surface.

• GLASS PARTS: use only specific products, avoid using water that could scale to build up on the surface of the glass.
Excluded from the above any disinfection or sanitization procedures and their frequency may vary depending on
the operating conditions of the unit.
For the cleaning of the tank and proceed as follows:

1. Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the product from the shelves and bath.
3. Leave the door open and wait for the inside temperature of the tank is equal to that environment.

vacuum cleaner and compressed air. This must be done by a technician of our service center.
DEFROST
On the inner walls of all the devices, due to the condensation of air, it forms a layer of frost, this
represents a true insulator and reduces the efficiency of the apparatus.
A frequent need to remove this frost using a plastic knife or a stiff brush: snow that you get must be
removed.
Refrain absolutely from using knives or other metal objects. But when the frost layer exceeds 5/6
mm.di thickness, it is necessary to defrost complete, according to the following standards:
1) pull the plug and leave the door open
2) remove the stored products and put them in another similar device
3) facilitate the scaling of the frost with a plastic knife or with a sponge soaked in warm water
4) Remove the back of the grid

6) remove the cap on the inside of the freezer compartment (below bottom)
7) remove all the water and all the frost
8) dry completely inside
9) put the cap
10) reposition the exhaust pipe inside the machine compartment and close the rear grid

the cell.
ALL OPERATIONS MAINTENANCE MUST BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED

TECHNICIAN.
10 TROUBLESHOOTING
Most of the drawbacks that occur in refrigerating appliances are due to minor causes, or to a bad electrical installation.
It is therefore of causes that can be easily remedied:
The device does not work:

• Check that the current regular arrivals to the socket;
• Check that the plug is properly inserted into the socket;
The internal temperature is not sufficiently low; check that:
• Foods or some object does not prevent the perfect closing of the device;
• The unit is not located near a heat source;
• The unit is leaning against the wall and that the front grille is free from obstructions;
• The door is perfectly closed
• The thermostat is in place;
• The condenser not result clogged or obstructed for proper air circulation; Cleaning Use a bristle brush or a vacuum
cleaner;
The unit is noisy; check that:
• All screws and bolts are tight;
• Some tube or blade is not in contact with any other area;
• The unit is level;
If there is condensation inside the unit:
• This is normal during periods of high humidity;

11 SEASONAL USE AND / OR FAILURE TO USE
When the unit is to remain unused for a long enough period, you must do the following
1. Before the period of inactivity:
• Remove the plug from the socket;
• Defrost, clean and dry the inside and the outside of the device;
• Leave the door slightly open to prevent the formation of mold and bad smells;
• Cover the appliance with a cloth, place it in a dry, sheltered place from the outside weather;
2. When in operation remittance:
• Repeat electrical controls provided to COMMISSIONING;

12 REMOTING CONTACT FOR ALARM SIGNAL

14 REVERSE OPENING DOOR
Warning: this operation is the competence of the technical service or qualified personnel.
NOTE
FIRST START

This appliance is guaranteed for the period of:

the date of the sales invoice. Within this period the purchaser has the right in case of imperfect
operation of the device, the free replacement of parts unfit for ascertained defect of material,
provided that they are returned to KW defective parts and do the actual defect is detected.
