SDRuno and use in IF OUT mode

SDRuno has the ability to use an IF tap from a radio, but there are limitations:

1. Your RSP will only be able to see a spectrum equal to the IF bandwidth of your radio.

2. You will not be able to work one band on the radio and simultaneously monitor
another band(s). You cannot do this for example:

3. Unless you are only listening within the IF bandwidth you cannot work voice on the
radio and simultaneously decode digital modes, e.g. FT8 or SSTV, so you cannot do
this:
4. You cannot monitor any bands beyond the tuning range of your rig, so for example no
monitoring VHF airband while working your HF rig.

5. The SSB offset issue. Most rigs allow you to set an offset for SSB operation, however
this offset info is not sent over CAT, so consequently SDRuno will always be offset by
some some amount. Some SDR packages, e.g. HDSDR, allow you to program in an
offset. But this is entirely manual and if you change the offset on the rig you will
subsequently have to change the offset in HDSR to match.

6. Not all rigs have an IF output so you may have to add some sort of IF output tap
board.

ALL of the above limitations are avoided if you have a rig with RX Out (e.g. Kenwood
TS-590SG) or if you use an external T/R switch (e.g. MFJ-1708B-SDR). Use of an
external T/R switch requires no modifications whatsoever to your rig, and can be used
with any rig capable of CAT control.
