Remove the automatic clutch release device. Loosen the clips of the rubber Chain guards, and
lift ass the outer cover of the secondary sprocket. Unlock the lock washer under the nut. With the
secondary transmission chain salckened, pull the secondary sprocket with the chain and the inner
cover out of its hearings. It is not necessary to disconnect the chain. Reverse this procedure to
refit the secondary sprocket.

Do not drive the sprocket forcefully into the bearing as this could result in displacement of the
bearing /inside the crankcasse/ in spite of its heinq secured against normal stressing with a

1. 11. DISMDUNTING THE ENGINE FROM THE FRAME

Take off the saddle, disconnect the accumulator battery fuse and take oft the spark plug caps.
Detach the fuel supply hose from the tank, take off the tank, unscrew the carburettor cap and take

bundle out fo the guide provided in the engine housing. oetach the bouden cable iron the clutch auto—
matic set, undo three :4 6x20 bolst and take off the automatic set. Loosen the rear wheel axis and the
transmissmn gear nut. loosen the belt tensioner and shirt the gear forward to slacken the chain

Clamp the engine tront section hetween the vice jaws in such a way, that the engine left-hand
flank becomes accessihle. niemount the carburettor, primary gear. cylinder heads, cylinder and
pistons. Drive the tear centring piece Eran the engine housing left-hand flank into its right-hand
ilanh, take out the clutch-disengagement rod and undo the M 6 bolts, which join the tuo halves of the
engine housing. Take the housing out of the vice and lay it down with the left-hand flank down.

2. 2. SEPARATING THE W0 HALVES OF THE ENGINE

Remove the ndheslve tape coveang the deaeratlnq hole and unscrew the plugs. Fill each cell with
electrolyte to the hexght of the top llhe Imark/ on the jar. The electrolyte ls diluted sulphuric

ARGING 1‘14}: BATTERY

It is necessary to Charge a battery which is not used until six months following the date of
manufacture and a battery which is not used immediately after it 15 filled with electrolyte. Like-
wise, it is necessary to charge a battery whose voltage is lower than 12 volts and whose electrolyte
has a gravity of less than 1.26. For charging the battery, use a charger enabling the current to be
regulated as required. Charge with a current of 0,5 ampere: till the voltage and the electrolyte
gravity change no longer.
MICE:
The time required for charging the haterry depends on the condition and the capacity of the
battery. During charging, the battery temperature must not exceed «2°C. Should this happen. cool the
battery. for instance with running water.
If the electrolyte gravity exceeds the recommended value, top up the level with distilled water
only. The voltage of a fully charged battery should be 12.6 V , i. e. 2. l. V per cell. Owing to the
design of the battery, it is not possible to measure the voltage of the individual cells.
