M3
Refer to the wiring diagram included in the manual and connect the load cell to terminal M2.
Use the UP/DOWN keys and the T/ d key to set the maximum capacity value of the cell. This
value must be expressed in kilogram s, as indicated by the illum ination of the Kg. LED on the
right of the display.
Press the E key to confirm the value entered.
According to the m aximum capacity of the cell, the system will choose the m easurement unit
with which all the weig hing data will be display ed (g-grams, dag-decagrams hg-hectograms,
Kg-kilograms).
The display will show the message P.CA. (Sample weight) for about one second.
Place a sample weight on the cell (as close as possible to the weight to be packaged) and enter
its value on the display using th e UP/DOWN keys and the T/d ke y. (N.B. pay attention to the
measurement unit indicated by the LEDs on the right of the display).
Press the E key to confirm the data set.
Ensure that during the sam ple weight acquisition (Ld) the cell does not suffer any mechanical
stress.
If necessary, repeat these operations again until reaching an adequate calibration level.
In addition to selecting the m easurement unit that will be used for displaying the weights, the
system will also calculate the most suitable type of resolution based on the FS.CEL value: +/-
1, +/- 2, +/- 5 divisions.

PROGRAMMING PARAMETERS
The system can m anage up to 15 work programm es. These programmes are m ade up of the
following parameters:
- SET 1: set-point 1; weight value that must be reached to enable the SET 1 output
- SET 2: set-point 2; weight value that must be reached to enable the SET 2 output
- t.Asc.: ascertainment time; time necessary to ensure that the SET 2 v alue has effectively been
reached
- T.DRA.: bowl drainage time; during this time the “bowl drainage” output remains active
- T.SET.: bowl settling tim e; tim e inte rval dur ing which the system does not consider any
weighing start commands
- COL.: column; the product to be packaged that is in the space between the vibrating channel
closing brushes and the vessel is considered ‘product residual’. While filling the vessel, the
scales perform a continual read ing of the current weight; it is po ssible that, in th e moment in
which the system reaches the set w eight, there is still som e residual product. In this case, the
weight obtained will be greater th an the defined set-point. This difference can be entered in this
parameter as a correction for following weights.
- C.Aut.0
KEY DESCRIPTION
CALIBRATION: a pushbutton located in the rear of the instrument (to the left of terminal M1). This
pushbutton can be used to access the system calibration functions.
P (PROGRAMME): in the programme function, the work parameters of the system can be
memorised (set-point 1 and 2, t.Acc., Col.)
T/d (TARE/digit): this is a dual-function key; if pressed during the normal operation of the system, it
activates the TARE f unction while, if pres sed dur ing p rogramming or calibra tion it activates the
digit function. The digit comm and speeds up the da ta entering operations, selecting the desired
number on which to work.
E (ENTER): this is also a dual-f unction key; if pressed during norm al operation of the system it
accesses th e programm ing of the Hold param eter while if pressed during programm ing or
calibration it saves the set data.
Page 04
PARAMETER SETTING
The system manages two set-point values, an ascertainment time, a bowl emptying time and a bowl
settling time, a column value and a count for the auto0.
Up to 15 programmes can be memorised; from Prog. 00 to Prog. 14.
To save the parameters relating to a programme proceed as follows:
Page 05
HOLD FUNCTION
This type of function is for displaying the weighing carried out in two different ways:
CONTINUAL hol.=0 or at each WEIGHT READY hol=1.
In the hol.=0 condition the displayed weight is continually updated while in the hol.=1 condition the
display only shows the weight after the W EIGHT READY is reached. In hol.= 1 the number
displayed is updated when the next WEIGHT READY is reached.
To m odify the hol. condition, press the E key a nd with the UP/DOWN keys select the desired
condition.
When the system is switched on it is in hold=0.
TARE FUNCTION
ATTENTION: the TARE comm and from the keyboard determines the recording of the data on the
retentive m emory (EEPROM) while the TARE command from the AUTOZERO input saves the
data on the RAM memory and therefore it will be lost when the system is switched off.
Page 06
WEIGHING START
The WEIGHING START comm and, see enclosed wi ring diagram (term inal M1), starts the
weighing control cycle. In this condition, the sy stem com pares th e read weight value with that
memorised in set-points 1 and 2 by performing the following operations:
it is assumed that the moment of the WEIGHING START the weight value is lower than set-point 1
ERROR/ALARMS
- The alarm "ERR2" is displayed if SET2 value is set to 0, and SET1 value different from 0.
