Le temperature medie in pianura sono sempre superiori allo zero anche in gennaio, quando vanno
dai 3 ai 4C nelle citt principali; in luglio la temperatura pu raggiungere i 12 e i 17-18 nella
regione di Londra.

Le precipitazioni sono ovunque frequenti, ma sono ancor pi frequenti e abbondanti al nord e sui
versanti occidentali. Ad esempio in Scozia occidentale si raggiungono i 1500 millimetri, con circa
200 giorni all'anno di pioggia (pi di un giorno su due!), mentre a Manchester cadono 800 mm di
pioggia in 141 giorni.

Average temperatures in the plains are always above zero in January, when they go from 3 to 4 C in the
major cities. In July, the temperature can reach 12 C and 17-18 in the London's region.

Precipitations are everywhere frequent, but they are more frequent and abundant in the north and on the
western slopes.

For example, in the west of Scotland are just 1,500 millimeters of annual rainfall (more than one day out of
two!), while at Manchester, it fall 800 mm of rain in 141 days.
