Assembly of God. 25th February 1979 "PRAYER SANCTUARY" BULLETIN. No 2la Dear Prayer Partners, One of the most important functions of the Church is prayer! It is God's method of regulating the flow of blessing to the Ghurch and to the World. Read James 5.17-18. Bzek 22.29-31. NO PRAYER - no power, no blessing, no anewer. See James 4.2. LIDMTLE PRAYER - little power, little blessing, few answers. MUCH PRAYER - Much power, much blessing, abundant answers! In God's prayer systen, He hae tied us in with Himself ~ With the Holy Spirit, the Loni Jesus Chrict, and with Himself, the Father. Please take a few moments to’read the following Scriptures:— GOD'S GREAT PRAYER NETHOD. He links together: (dneluding each Christian) 1 Thess 5.17; Bph 6.18; Luke 18.1-8; Luke 11 1-13; Matt 7.711: ‘The Holy Spirit: (Within us) Ron.8.26-27; Bph 6.16: The Lord Jesus Christ (Before the throne) Rom 8.34. Heb 7.25 ‘The Heavenly Father (The Bountiful Giver) Janes 1.17; John 3.27} God has made the Church a vital element in His cycle of blessing! He has given us the keys of the sluice gates of the reservoir of His abundance! (James 5.17-18.) He has locked us into the divine economy of prayer and answer. very Onristian is a channel through which the blessings must Zlov! The Christian who neglects prayer is failing God, the unsaved, and ‘the Church. 1 Sam 12.23. Zeph 1.6; Isaiah 64.6-7: ‘Thank God for faithful Christians wao, in spite of the rush and tear of this busy life, find time to offer themselves to God as channels of prayer each day. Yes, and God bless YOU, Prayer Partner, for your faithfulness. God will reward you - end bless others throtigh you. THB MORNING warcH will you pray, this week, for every member and adherent of the Church that each will fulfill their purpose for God as His representative in the world? That each may shine as a light in their own small corner, and be as salt, exerting a purifying and aseptic influence in a corrupting world; that their hearts end minds may be kept clean and pure through the Blood of Jesus and the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, end that each may live in victory! Pray that ve may all roal- ise how important it is to meet with Jesus before we face the day, and to receive our anointing of "fresh oil", together with the infus- ion of His resurrection life, faith, joy, love and strength. Pray too, for their health, provision, protection, and fanily happiness. A PRAYING & PRATSING HEAR: ‘The Realist said, "I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually’be in my mouth’ (Ps 34.1) ngt 211 times?” "gontinually?" That's right! Because he had a praising heart! The set of his heart was consciously and subconsciously on God! Isaiah spoke of the man whose "heart was stayed on Thee"! Aheart continually in tune with God is a wonderful possession! Let ua all endeavour to possess a praying, praising heart. at first it takes a little discipline of the thougits. Every time our thoughts can be deflected from other things, oven for a few moments, let's Lift them to God in short sentence-like prayers! Shoot up arrows of intercession for others, expressions of our love for Him, of our needs, of gratitude and thanks. Praise telegrans and wieps of holy dncenge of worship and adoration. In that moment you touch Ged - and @od touches you! In that touch strength, life, faith, and love flow down and into your soul. Just in that moment, just in that flash! There's no need to neglect your duties or be less efficient in your ‘thinking - in fect His touch actually invigorates the mind and quickens thought. Keep it up, it will take persistence, discipline and quite a few restarts, but the result will overwhelmingly compensate for the effort. Dot down a few Scriptures, or prayer requests on a cand and carry it in your pocket. Have a peep at it from time to time, and you will leara what it meane "to pray without ceasing".
