"PRAYER SANCTUARY BULLBTIN" ~No 29a
Dear Prayer Partners,
Oh, how the Church in Australia needs Revival!
The Lord Jesus is coming! I believe He is at the very door! are
His people ready? Are we ready? The Apostle John writes, "Little
Chiliiren, Abide in Kim, that when He shall appear we may have con~
fidence, and not be ashoned at Hie appearing (not have to be
ashamed and shrink back from meeting Him ~ 1.B)"1 Jhn 2.28.
How does revival cone? It mast begin with ourselves.
It usuatiy starts with a few eamest, concerned souls, their hearts
so buniened, the only outlet being sin-confessing, intercessory
prayer.
Revival does not need, nor does it spread,ty propa-
ganda. It spreads by propagation! By the release of those’ inner «
forces pent up in the concerned Christian's heart. It is not artif-
icial, it is vitell It is life giving birth to life, as when we
speck of"propagating the species". Revival once begun expands by
chain reaction, like the release of atomic energy. I am convinced
that God is ready to give us revival. He is looking for channels -
for burdened souls, who with cleansed and inflamed hearts, and
depending on His Spirit, will propagate it! Will YOU be one?
THB MORNING WATCH.
Are you praying for the salvation of the lost? Praying for your
children, loved ones, neighbours and fellow-citizens? Praying
earnestly and fervently? If we vould reach God in prayer, enter
into real intercession with Him, it will only be with a heart hot
with urgency. Cold prayers never have yarn answers. Only prayers
‘backed by love and compassion will avail at the door of the heavenly
resources. A heart unmoved for a dying world, for a hell-bent
nation, for a sinning community, for lost loved ones, will never
move God! Heaven only answers ihe prayers of those whose hearts
go pulsate with a burning love, that they cannot remain silent.
When the Christian is so filled with such love - love for God's
cause at hone and abroad, love for Australia as it swirls on its
dowavard road to hell, and for a worl racing to ite ruin - then and
‘then only will his prayers be ansvered. "The earnest, heartfelt,
continued prayer of a righteous man makes a tremendous power
available - dynamic in its working" (James 5.16 AMP)
John the Baptist said, "I indeed baptise you with water unto
repentance; but He that comets after me is mightier than I, whose
shoes I am not worthy to bear, He shall baptise you with the Holy
Ghost AND WITH PIRE". Oh, Dear God, send the fire into my heart!
Qur Prayer Thone this Week - "Lord, send the Pire!
