I remember a time
My frail, virgin mind
watched the crimson sunrise
Imagined what it might find
Life was filled with wonder
I felt the warm wind blow
I must explore the boundaries
Transcend the depth of winter's snow
Innocence caressing me
I never felt so young before
There was so much life in me
Still I longed to search for more
But those days are gone now
Changed like a leaf on a tree
Blown away forever
into the cool autumn breeze
The snow has now fallen
and my sun's not so bright
I struggle to hold on
with the last of my might
In my den of inequity
viciousness and subtlety
struggle to ease the pain
struggle to find the sane
Ignorance surrounding me
I've never been so filled with fear
All my life's been drained from me
The end is drawing near....

i ricordo che una volta...
Oh mia delicata e vergine mente...
Ho ammirato l'Alba Carminia
e ho immaginato che cosa ci avrei trovato:
la mia vita si riempì di stupore,
e sentii il tepore del vento che spirava.
Devo esplorare i confini
e trascendere la profondità della neve invernale.
L'innocenza mi accarezza;
non mi ero mai sentito così giovane prima,
c'era così tanta vita in me,
e ancora avevo voglia di qualcosa in più;
ma quelli sono tempi passati.
Cambiati come una foglia su un albero
spazzata via per sempre
dentro la fredda brezza autunnale...
La neve ora è caduta
e il mio sole non splende così tanto;
mi sforzo di tener duro,
con lo stremo delle mie forze,
nella mia tana d'iniquità
vizio e sottigliezza,
tentano di alleviare il dolore
cercano di trovare il rimedio.
L'ignoranza mi circonda
e non mi sono mai sentito così spaventato;
tutta la mia vita è stata prosciugata da me,
e la fine si sta delineando

Fearing my deepest fright
She walked into the night
She turned for one last look
She looked me in the eye
I said, 'I Love You...Good-bye'

Mi ricorderò per sempre
il gelo di novembre,
le notizie dell'autunno,
i suoni nella sala,
l'orologio appeso al muro che ticchettava...
"Cogli l'attimo"...
Gli ho sentito dire:
"La vita non sarà sempre così...
Guardati attorno,
senti il suono,
abbi cura della tua vita mentre sei ancora in giro..."

il Vecchio Tempo è un volo di sola andata
e questo stesso fiore che oggi sorride
domani starà morendo"
Possiamo imparare dal passato,
ma quei giorni sono passati.
Possiamo sperare per il futuro,
ma potrebbe anche non essercene uno...
Le parole si stampano nella mia mente
viva da ciò che ho imparato,
devo cogliere l'attimo...
Ritorno a casa
e preparo il suo volo:
tengo più duro che posso
temendo le mie più profonde paure;
lei è venuta attraverso la notte,
si è girata per un'ultima occhiata
e mi ha guardato negli occhi;
le ho detto: "Ti amo...Addio"...

Tutto è perduto senza che nulla soddisfi;
fuori dalle pagine e dalla televisione
viene un altro mondo dove nulla è reale,
viaggiando attraverso una vita fantastica.
Perdere un passo e non rialzarsi mai più,
lasciato solo con lo sguardo freddo ed assente...
Mi sento sfinire...
Sono stato accecato da un paradiso,
un'utopia lassù nei cieli,
un sogno che non ha fatto altro che affondarmi
in un dolore profondo, chiedendomi il perché...
Oh, lascia che lo adoriamo,
che ne abusiamo per poi ignorarlo.
Non importa cosa, impedisciglielo...
Nutriamoci della sua miseria,
impiccalo come monito per il mondo...
Sono nauseato dalla tua ipocrisia
