DIETRO (uguale al DAVANTI)

Con i ferri n° 5,5 (5,5 mm) avviare 64 maglie e lavorare a
punto coste 2/2. A 10 cm di altezza passer ai ferri n°6 (6 mm)
lavorando a maglia rasata. A 42 cm di altezza totale cominciare
a diminuire le maglie per le maniche raglan nel seguente modo: sul ferro
dritto di andata intrecciare due maglie, dopo altre due maglie diminuire di 1 maglia (per la diminuzione
prendere insieme due maglie), terminare il giro dritto e poi eseguire la stessa diminuzione sul ferro al
rovescio di ritorno. Continuare a diminuire di 1 maglia, sempre all’interno di 2 maglie, ogni 2 ferri per 15
volte. Essendo partiti con 64 maglie, avendo intrecciato due maglie per lato e diminuita una per lato
(perse 6 maglie) e poi avendo diminuito di 1 maglia per lato per 15 volte ( perse in totale 15x2=30
maglie) rimarranno sul ferro 28 maglie. A 60 cm di altezza totale terminare il lavoro intrecciando le 28
maglie rimaste.

MANICHE
Con i ferri n°5,5 avviare 40 maglie e lavorare a punto coste 2/2 per 12 cm. Proseguire lavorando a maglia
rasata con i ferri n°6. Sul primo ferro dritto aumentare a distanza regolare 4 maglie ( dopo 5, dopo altre
10, dopo altre 10 e ancora dopo altre 10). Si avranno a questo punto sul ferro 44 maglie. Proseguire a
maglia rasata senza alcun aumento fino ad arrivare all’altezza totale di 22 cm. A questo punto iniziare
degli aumenti per dare una forma allargata alla manica. Sul primo ferro dritto lavorare 4 maglie e poi
gettarne una in più per fare un aumento di una e poi fare la stessa cosa a quattro maglie dalla fine del
ferro. Ora si lavorerà il ferro rovescio con 46 maglie. Ripetere lo stesso aumento di una maglia per lato
ogni 12 ferri per altre 3 volte. Si arriverà così ad avere in tutto sul ferro 52 maglie. Proseguire fino
all’altezza totale di 44 cm. A questo punto iniziare le diminuzioni per le maniche raglan: sul primo ferro
dritto intrecciare due maglie, lavorare una maglia dritta e poi calare una maglia (prendere due maglie
insieme). Fare la stessa cosa sul ferro rovescio di ritorno. Lavorare un ferro dritto ed uno rovescio
regolari. Poi inziare la diminuzione di 1 maglia, all’interno di 2 maglie, per ogni lato (diminuire una sul
dritto e una sul rovescio). Ripetere la dimuzione ogni 4 ferri. Ripetere questa diminuzione per 9 volte.
Finiremo con un totale di 28 maglie sul ferro ( 52 - 4 intrecciate - 10x2). Chiudere le maglie sul ferro
dritto dopo avere fatto l’ultima diminuzione. Si avranno circa 62-63 cm di lunghezza totale della manica.
CONFEZIONE
Cucire le maniche raglan al davanti e al dietro ma lasciando aperto uno dei 4 lati (possibilmente uno dei
lati sul dietro perchè lì ci sarà la cucitura di chiusura del collo ed è meglio che non si noti sul davanti).
Con i ferri n°5,5 riprendere 112 maglie (28x4). Lavorare a punto coste 2/1 per 4 cm. A questo punto
diminuire una maglia in ogni costa dritta in modo che si passi ad un punto coste 1/1. A circa 8 cm di
altezza del collo intrecciare tutte le maglie. Cucire il collo, il lato della manica raglan che era rimasto
aperto, i fianchi e le maniche.

MATERIAL
5.5 mm needles = size 5.5
6 mm needles = size 6

GAUGE
13 stiches x 18 rounds / 10 x 10 cm

FRONT (BACK is the same)

Cast on 64 stitches on needles size 5.5 and knit with 2/2 rib stitch. When you reach 10 cm in height,
switch to needles size 6 and go on with stockinette stitch. At a total height of 42 cm, start decreasing the
stitches for the raglan sleeves as follows: on the first knit row cast off two stitches, knit two stitches then
decrease by 1 stitch (to decrease you have to knit two stitches together). Complete the round without any
other decrease. Make a decrease at the beginning of the purl row exactly like in the knit row. Continue
decreasing in this way every 2nd row for 15 times. Having started with 64 stitches, having cast off two
stitches on each side and decreased one on each side in the first row and furthermore, having decreased by
1 stitch on each side for another 15 times, you will lose a total of 6+15x2=36 stitches. It means that at the
end there will be 64-36=28 stitches left on the needle. You should finish at a total high of about 60 cm. At
that point you can finish casting off all the stitches.
SLEEVES
With needles size 5.5 cast on 40 stitches and work in 2/2 rib stitch for 12 cm. Continue knitting in
stockinette stitch with needles size 6. On the first row increase 4 stitches evenly (after 5, after another 10,
after another 10 and again after another 10). At this point you will have 44 stitches on the needle.
Continue in stockinette stitch without any increases until you reach a total height of 22 cm. At that point,
start to increase to give a wider shape to the sleeve. On the first row knit 4 stitches and then cast on one to
make an increase. Repeat the same increase, casting on one stitch, four stitches before the end of the row.
Knit the purl row, it will have 46 stitches. Repeat the same increase of one stitch on each side every 12th
row for 3 more times. This way you’ll have a total of 52 stitches. Continue to a total height of 44 cm.
Now start the decreases for the raglan sleeves: cast off two stitches on the first knit row, knit a stitch and
then cast off a stitch (knit two stitches together). Do the same thing on the purl row. Make a regular knit
row and a regular purl row. Then begin the decrease of 1 stitch, inside 2 stitches, for each side (decrease
one on the knit side and one on the purl one). Repeat the decrease every 4th row. Repeat this decrease 9
times. You will end up with a total of 28 stitches on the needle (52 - 4 - 10x2). Cast off all the stitches
after the last decrease. You should have approximately the length of 62-63cm for the sleeve.
FINISHING
Sew the raglan sleeves to the front and back but leave one of the 4 sides open (possibly one of the sides of
the back because there will be the closing seam of the collar and it is better not to notice it on the front).
Curl on 112 stitches (28x4) with 5.5 mm needles. Work in rib stitch 2/1 for 4 cm. At this point decrease
one stitch in each knit so that you pass to a 1/1 rib stitch. At about 8 cm from the beginning of the collar
cast off all the stitches. Sew up the collar, the only side of the raglan sleeve that remained open, the sides
and the sleeves.
