2 - Introduction
BT-SIR is a bidirectional viaradio siren designed especially for the Sicep Bi-
Tech line: make sure that this device is compatible with the unit on
which they will use it according to what is shown on the manual.
It features a piezoelectric sound actuator and a flashing light with high lumi-
nosity LED. It also features controls for detecting sabotage such as:
• Anti-opening and anti-removal tamper switch
• Anti-foam tamper switch
• Fire prevention temperature control
• Burglar-proof vibration sensor
Special technical measures were taken to ensure low energy consumption
(and therefore long battery life) without compromising sound and light po-
wer.
It is possible to program the siren for it to be activated only in the event of
alarms in certain areas; there are 4 different types of sound and another for
the fire alarm.
The sound power level can be programmed on three levels and the flashing
light can be disabled.
2.1 - Additional functions
There is the memory alarm function (that can be disabled). A red LED fla-
shes to warn the user this function is enabled.
The same LED flashes twice to indicate that at least one of the areas is ena-
bled.
The siren can be programmed to indicate pre-alarm status, i.e. that a dela-
yed sensor has been detected; this can be signalled in three ways:
• Sound and light signal
• Light signal only
• Sound signal only
All the parameters are programmed using the same control unit.
The device is powered by a 3.6 Volt 13Ah lithium battery (included) with a life
span of at least 2 years.
