Furniture manufacturers and interior shopfitters, employ FORM line ® MDF and HDF as equal and
often more versatile substitutes for solid wood. FORM line ® is a cost effective, high quality product
that offers a variety of processing possibilities and the flexibility for new creative ideas.

The fine defibration of bark-free softwood and the careful pressing techniques used result in a
wood-based board material of homogeneous properties in both length and width.

EGGER FORM line ® products are chosen not only for their extraordinarily light surface colour, but
also for their excellent processing characteristics, in addition to the wide range of thicknesses and
sizes on offer.

This combination of features saves time and money.
F O R M l i n e ® D H F – (diffusible humidity resistant fibreboard)

FORM line ® DHF is a moisture resistant, synthetic resin-bonded medium density

fibreboard approved for the construction industry for use as a diffusable
cladding of structural components in accordance with DIN 68-800-2.

FORM line ® DHF achieves a diffusion resistance factor of µ = 11 and is

generally free of condensate provided that a diffusion resistance (s d ≥ 2 m)
has been ensured within the room under construction.
Due to the density of FORM line ® DHF being equal to (or more than)
600 kg/m 3 it is considerably easier to maintain fire resistance certification
for the required fire prevention standard (DIN 4102 T4).
In board thickness of 15 mm FORM line ® DHF is load-bearing on a rafter
grid of up to 1m (dry board).
FORM line ® DHF is used underneath panels with rear ventilation (facades,
roof covering). Directly applied heat insulation systems for timber frame
construction must be approved by the appropriate building authorities.
Room height board sizes, up to 3 m wall height are available.

FORM line ® DFF is a diffusable and moisture balancing insulation fibre buildings as well as, specifically, for roof renovation works. The light fibre
board for use as external wall and roof claddings in the construction of board in 30 mm thickness offers significant heat insulation and comfortable
timber framed buildings, renovation works and new builds. room temperature.

FORM line ® DFF is moisture resistant, water repellent and corresponds to

ZVDH regulations for profiled sub-claddings.
For use as external cladding – roof and wall components – which
according to GKO conforms to DIN 68800-2.
FORM line ® DFF contributes considerably to the reduction of
heat bridges in construction energy ratings.
Manufactured with a low raw density on state-of-the-art production plants,
using a dry processing method, conforming to EN1371 and CE marking.

Innovations: Everyone talks about them – we make them!

The innovative aspect of this board is in the special combination of fibre preparation,
fibre ergonomics and high density that allows lacquer to be applied during a
conventional production process even if this includes a light sanding of the board. All
this, WITHOUT the need of primer application or similar preparatory production stages.

As only de-barked wood varieties are used, the result is a very light coloured
board. This carries significant advantages over conventional MDF, HDF or
hardboard when using light coloured veneers, thin foils and lacquers.

T h e p ro d u c t i o n p ro c e s s a n d t h e p ro d u c t :

Fibre preparation employing newly developed dry defibration

Board production using continuous calendering equipment
- Thickness 2.4 – 6.0 mm
- Production width 2100 mm
- Length from 600 mm, online cutting capability
A newly developed strong fibre board features short fibres and the highest
achievable raw density
A very light coloured board is achieved due to the use of de-barked wood varieties
The physical properties are above MDF standard EN 622-5
- Very high internal bond and perpendicular tensile strengths
(more than twice the required standard for MDF and hardboard)
- Very low swell values
- Very high elasticity module values
- Good bending strength

JOINTING
The dimensional stability of the material and the exact fit achieved when fitting
tongue and grooved panels, ensure lasting clean joints even with thin board
applications. The compact core guarantees high screw holding properties, good
dowelling and laminating properties and low risk of chipping.

LACQUERING
The combination of a smooth, closed surface, high dimensional stability,
low swelling properties and a light surface colour provides an excellent
basis for all conventional lacquering systems.

L A M I N AT I N G
The even fibre structure guarantees the ease of application of foils and laminates
or wrapping processes – even on small, milled and profiled surfaces.
The dense closed surface permits an economical glue application.
Edges and surfaces become one harmonious unit.

S U R FA C E R O U T E R I N G
Homogeneity and optimum density of the entire board allow the routering of the
most varied structures. Even gradual rebates are possible due to the high edge
stability.
