Addenda Passato Prossimo Essere Avere 2019
Addenda Passato Prossimo Essere Avere 2019
For
example,
consider
these
two
phrases:
“you
started
something”
(transitive
use,
since
“something”,
i.e.
what
the
subject
started,
is
the
direct
object
of
the
verb)
or
“something
started”
(intransitive
use
since
the
verb
cannot
take
a
direct
object):
in
the
former
case
you
would
use
cominciare
(or
iniziare)
with
avere
in
passato
prossimo,
in
the
latter
case
you
would
use
cominciare
(or
iniziare)
with
essere
in
passato
prossimo.
Remember
that
an
infinitive,
expressing
an
activity,
can
be
the
direct
object
of
a
verb
(underlined
in
the
example):
Ieri
ho
cominciato
a
lavorare
alle
otto
di
mattina
e
ho
finito
di
lavorare
alle
sette
di
sera.
(Yesterday
I
started
working
at
8:00am
and
I
finished
at
7:00pm.)
