Si può arrivare al successo rimanendo incorrotti nell’anima?

La bellezza può essere d’ingombro all’ affermazione della
bravura? Può l’appoggio di un “ pezzo grosso ” essere
determinante persino più del Talento? A queste domande la
scrittrice Rita Bellacosa, risponde con “ LE INUTILI
APPARENZE ”, bel romanzo che si appresta a diventare un
classico della letteratura moderna e che, di sicuro, è specchio
del costume contemporaneo. Francesca, la protagonista, è una
giovane donna colta e bellissima, determinata nella corsa verso
il Successo. Arriva a Roma dove si imbatte in uomini potenti e
spregiudicati i quali, soggiogati dalla sua spavalda avvenenza,
le promettono una carriera facile e veloce. Arduo decidere di
opporre a tale allettante prospettiva il proprio orgoglio ma
quanto può essere gratificante il successo ottenuto grazie alla
sola bellezza? Quanto vale se impone, in una sorta di tacita
mutualità, di vendersi l’anima? Così la bellezza risulta un
limite in una società che non premia il talento ma la
rappresentazione, a volte patetica, di personaggi mediocri
venuti alla ribalta grazie ad una specie di transazione umana
in cui vige il principio del “ do ut des ” . E la bellezza da
apparente vantaggio si muta in realtà prevaricante che
accantona il talento. Corrompendo l’anima. Un monito per
tante ragazze che inseguono le luci della ribalta perdendo se
stesse per l’ espace d’ un instant. L’opera trabocca di colpi di
scena e di situazioni piccanti ed anche, talvolta, ai confini ,
sapientemente costruiti, dello stucchevole. Tutto in una prosa
erudita dai forti echi manzoniani.

determined in the run toward the Success. It arrives to Rome

advantage he changes in hard reality that sets aside the talent.
