INTRODUCTION

This is a completely innovative method to Questo un metodo completamente improve your vocabulary, thus becoming more innovativo per migliorare il tuo vocabolario, e and more independent with the language. per diventare cos pi indipendente con l'uso della lingua. We all know that when studying a foreign language, the best way to improve and enrich ones vocabulary is by reading extensively and by making practice. This remains the only valid and proven method, which we dont want to replace in any way and strongly recommend to all students of English. Our own method is only intended as a complement to the traditional one. This is how it works For each lesson we introduce a list of 40 new terms, divided into 4 blocks. One of the blocks contains terms referring to a specific subject, while each of the other three blocks contain terms referring to different subjects.

On the printed book the student will therefore Sul fascicolo stampato lo studente trover find four lists, containing the English terms pertanto quattro liste, contenenti i termini in and their most common Italian translation. inglese e la loro traduzione pi comune in italiano. On the audio file each term is read by a speaker first in English, then in Italian and finally in English again. The whole process is carried out using a relaxing background music and each block of terms is read twice.

Time is given between one reading and the other for the student to read the term on the book The list is now read again, with time given for the time to repeat both the English term and its Italian translation. At this stage the student is requested to take a written activity, so that practice can be made with the terms. The student can now go back to the audio file, where he is asked to translate into Italian the terms he has just learned, read out in English at random. Sufficient time is given for the reply, and the correct reply is then read by the speaker. At the end of each lesson, students are strongly advised to listen to the audio file while carrying out activities such as driving, jogging or taking a walk, cooking, etc. to get more confident with the new terms. Our experience with this method has shown that at least 70% of the terms for each block actually gets memorised and is used in context. Of course, listening regularly to the audio file helps increase such percentage. Please note 1. We wish to point out that this method has got nothing to do with subliminal learning. The student just learns what is being clearly read out in the audio file, with no subliminal message involved, and actual listening, repeating and replying is requested. No passive learning! 2. Although the audio file should be listened to while carrying out other activities, major care should be taken with activities that require particular attention, such as driving. No responsibility is taken in such sense.
