Effect of Kinesiotaping On Static and Dy
Effect of Kinesiotaping On Static and Dy
SUMMARY
Aim. Soccer players need to have good posture on the unilateral leg and stability of foot to achieve different soccer
techniques for inducing physical performance. Therefore, knee braces and taping techniques are widely used to
reduce injury and increase balance in sports. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of kinesiotaping
(KT) by enhancing muscle activation and stimuli to mechanoreceptors of ankle joint on balance of soccer players
during competition.
Methods. The authors carried out a prospective, criterion-based controlled study in the soccer ield. Thirty-two healthy
and sedentary males aged 20-30 years were randomly separated into two groups that 15 subjects with KT was study
group (Group1) and 17 with no application was control group (Group2). All of subjects were assessed with modiied
star excursion that meaning of Y balance test, lamingo balance test and one leg hops before starting the match (Test1)
and after KT (Test2). The Student t-test was performed to determine if there were differences between bare, taped and
both conditions. Participants illed in a questionnaire regarding demographic and lower extremity problems.
Results. There were no signiicant differences in the results of anterior part, posterolateral part and posteromedial part
of Y balance test, one leg hop test (OLH) and lamingo balance test (FBT) between study and control groups before
the soccer (P>0.05). There were no signiicant difference in the results of OLH test between Test1 and Test2 for both
group1 and group2 (P>0.05). There was found a signiicant difference in FBT at the end of the soccer between Group1
and Group2 (P=0.02).
Conclusion. KT application was more effective in terms of balance and neuromuscular performance than bare.

RIASSUNTO
Obiettivo.
