Ciao Tereza!

Ho sempre immaginato come sarebbe spendere un tempo lavorando in un

ostello, come un sogno. Negli ultimi 10 anni ho viaggiato abbastanza e ho
conosciuto distinti tipi di ostelli, e ho visto che in tutti potevo lavorare con
piacere, perch mi piace incontrare persone ed io sono molto curioso e
comunicativo.

Ora ho deciso di "dare aria alla testa" e ho venduto la mia parte dell'azienda
dove lavoravo. Sono stato il responsabile amministrativo, commerciale e
finanziaria. Mi considero una persona responsabile e organizzata, posso
aiutare con qualsiasi tipo di attivit. In particolare in materia di reception, di
organizzazione di eventi e processi amministrative. Ho organizzato eventi
per NEJ (la spiegazione ha un profilo) con numero di partecipanti vicino a un
migliaio, ha dato anche alcune interviste in televisione. La parte sociale per
me la pi facile.

Ho buona conoscenza della lingua inglese, ho studiato all'universit

canadese. Lo spagnolo, ho studiato nella Argentina, capisco la lingua. Ho
studiato anche il francese, ma io non sono ancora fluenti nella lingua.
L'italiano ho studiato nel passato e sto studiando di nuovo. Ma penso che ho
ancora fatto alcuni errori nel testo! Hahaha

Yes, I did work as volunteer a few times. Nonetheless, never as volunteer in
commercial establishments.

At NEJ I am working as volunteer, it has been more than two years now, it
requires about 10 hours dedicated per week, near 25h last year when I was
president, plus about 40 hours weekly in my regular job.
When student I worked six months in the @floripa AIESECs office. One year
in the universitys junior enterprise, two years in a microfinance project and
some other small occasions as well.
Although those projects had social purposes, I think the personal values
needed are the same: responsibility, team work, proactivity, diplomacy and
commitment.

The purposes of the trip:
* To work and live in a complete different context;
* To get fluency in Italian;
* To explore Italy, specially this vivid city that Milano seems to be;

As I said before, I am starting a new cycle in my life, getting out of a

traditional business (managing an industry), so I am open to experiment
myself in new things. Volunteering in a hostel for a short period of time is
the number 1 in the list at this moment.

PS: I have no doubts so far, I read carefully the job description.

Nevertheless, my understandings so far are that the 30 hours on duty are
quite flexible, in terms of, if planned with enough time is possible to
negotiate the days off.
Also that the volunteers are not the only ones responsible for cleaning, and
yes that we are supposed to help with everything when needed, being
proactive always, in whatever is the task.
