1 ZUM KENNENLERNEN
Funktionen des Gertes Zeichenerklrung
Dieser elektrische Luftbefeuchter dient zum In der Gebrauchsanleitung bedeuten folgen-

tig! Ein Nichtbeachten der nachfolgenden
Hinweise kann Personen- oder Sachsch-
den verursachen. Bewahren Sie die Ge-
brauchsanleitung auf und machen Sie diese
auch anderen Anwendern zugnglich. ber-
geben Sie diese Anleitung bei Weitergabe
des Gerts.
WARNUNG: Stromschlag
Den Stecker niemals am Netzkabel
[14] oder mit nassen Hnden aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
Wenn Sie das Gert an einen anderen
Ort stellen mchten, schalten Sie es
zuerst aus, ziehen Sie den Netzste-
cker [14] und lassen Sie es abkhlen.
Das Gert darf nicht gekippt, bewegt
oder entleert werden, so lange es ein-
geschaltet oder mit dem Stromnetz
verbunden ist.

Bei nicht sachgemem bzw. Gebrauch
entgegen der vorliegenden Gebrauchs-
anleitung besteht unter Umstnden

WARNUNG: Verbrhungsgefahr
Der austretende Dampf ist hei!
Halten Sie Hnde und Gesicht auf
keinen Fall whrend des Betriebs ber
die drehbare Dampfdse [2].
Vermeiden Sie Kontakt mit heien
Oberflchen.
Versuchen Sie nicht, den Dampfturm
[3], die Dampfdse [2] oder das Kalk-
pad [4] whrend des Betriebs oder in-
nerhalb 15 Minuten nach dem Aus-
schalten und Ausstecken zu entfernen.
Diese Teile drfen nur fr Reinigungs-
zwecke entfernt werden.
Da in diesem Luftbefeuchter hohe
Temperaturen herrschen, treffen Sie
bitte entsprechende Vorsichtsma-
nahmen, insbesondere in der Anwe-
senheit von Kindern und stellen Sie
das Gert an einem fr Kinder unzu-
gnglichen Ort auf.

Aufbewahrung und Pflege
ACHTUNG
Reinigen Sie das Gert nur in der an-
gegebenen Weise.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass kein Wasser in
das Gerteinnere sowie auf das Kabel
[14] oder den Netzstecker gelangt.
Schalten Sie das Gert immer ab,
wenn der Wassertank [8] leer ist oder
wenn Sie das Gert nicht benutzen.
Wenn Sie das Gert ber lngere Zeit
nicht benutzen, ziehen Sie den Netz-
stecker [14] und reinigen Sie das Gert.
Schtzen Sie das Gert vor zu nahen
Wrmequellen wie fen, Heizkrpern
oder direktem Sonnenlicht.
Bewahren Sie kein Benzin oder andere
leicht entflammbare Stoffe in der Nhe
des Gerts auf.
Reparatur
Warnung
Reparaturen an Elektrogerten drfen
nur von Fachkrften durchgefhrt wer-
den. Durch unsachgeme Reparaturen
knnen erhebliche Gefahren fr den
Benutzer entstehen. Wenden Sie sich bei
Reparaturen an den Kundenservice oder
an einen autorisierten Hndler.

Befolgen Sie die rtlichen Vor-

4 INBETRIEBNAHME
Auspacken
Prfen Sie den Lieferumfang. Wenn Teile
fehlen, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren
Fachhndler.
Entfernen Sie alle Verpackungs- und
Transportsicherungen.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch reinigen
Aus hygienischen Grnden empfehlen wir,
das Gehuse des Luftbefeuchters [6], den
Wassertank [8] und das Kalkpad [4] vor dem
ersten Gebrauch grndlich mit kaltem Was-
ser auszusplen. Gehen Sie dabei vor, wie
beschrieben im Kapitel 6 Pflege, Abschnitt
Gert reinigen, Seite 7.
Netzkabel anschlieen
WARNUNG
Bevor Sie das Gert in Betrieb nehmen,
berprfen Sie das Kabel [14] auf et-
waige Beschdigungen. Gert niemals
mit beschdigtem Netzkabel verwen-
den.
Das Gert darf nur mit der auf dem
Typenschild angegebenen Spannung
betrieben werden.
Schlieen Sie Ihren Luftbefeuchter an das
Stromnetz an, indem Sie den Netzstecker
[14] in die Steckdose einstecken.

Luftbefeuchter aufstellen Wassertank befllen

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch muss der Wasser-

dass das Gert nicht umgeworfen werden
kann.

5 BEDIENUNG
1 Wassertank befllen
Befllen Sie den Wassertank [8], wenn Sie das Gert in Betrieb nehmen oder wenn
die rote Kontrollanzeige [A] leuchtet und so einen zu niedrigen Wasserstand an-
zeigt.

ACHTUNG
Verwenden Sie ausschlielich frisches Leitungswasser zum Befllen des
Wassertanks [8].
Geben Sie keinesfalls irgendwelche Zustze ins Wasser.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Tankverschluss [9] mit Dichtung an der Unterseite
des Wassertanks [8] fest verschlossen ist, bevor Sie das Gert in Betrieb
nehmen.
Nehmen Sie die Abdeckung [1] vom Luftbefeuchter.
Ziehen Sie den Wassertank [8] an den Griffmulden [7] nach oben aus dem Luftbe-
feuchter. Schrauben Sie den Tankverschluss [9] vom Wassertank [8] ab.

 Splen Sie den Wassertank [8] mit frischem Wasser aus.
Fllen Sie den Wassertank [8] mit kaltem Leitungswasser.
Schrauben Sie den Tankverschluss [9] auf den Wassertank [8]. Setzen Sie den
Wassertank [8] in den Luftbefeuchter ein.
Setzen Sie die Abdeckung [1] oben auf den Luftbefeuchter.
2 Gert einschalten
ACHTUNG
Luftbefeuchter nie ohne Wassertank [8] oder Dampfturm [3] einschalten.

Drcken Sie die ON/OFF-Taste [D], um den Luftbefeuchter einzuschalten. Die

grne Kontrollanzeige [B] leuchtet.
Noch vor Beginn der Dampfabgabe: Drehen Sie die Dampfdse [2] so, dass der
Dampf in die gewnschte Richtung ausstrmt.
Nach wenigen Minuten beginnt das Gert mit der Dampfabgabe. Die grne Kont-
rollanzeige [B] leuchtet, solange das Gert am Stromnetz angeschlossen und ein-
geschaltet ist.
3 Dampfmenge whlen
Whlen Sie die Dampfmenge ber die Dampf-Taste [C] .
Stufe I: wenig Dampf (ca. 150 ml/h)
Stufe II: viel Dampf (ca. 400 ml/h)
Nach wenigen Minuten beginnt das Gert mit der genderten Dampfabgabe.
4 Gert ausschalten
Das Gert ist fr den Dauerbetrieb geeignet. Wir empfehlen dennoch,
es fr lngere Zeit nicht ohne Aufsicht zu betreiben (Nachtbetrieb).
Das Gert verfgt ber eine automatische Abschaltfunktion bei leerem
Wassertank.
Drcken Sie die ON/OFF-Taste [D], um das Gert auszuschalten. Die grne Kont-
rollanzeige [B] erlischt.

6 PFLEGE

Vor dem Reinigen und Entkalken

1 Gert vom Netz nehmen

Schalten Sie das Gert mit der ON/OFF-Taste [D] aus. Die grne Kontrollanzeige
[B] erlischt.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker [14] aus der Steckdose und warten Sie mindestens
15 Minuten, bis der Luftbefeuchter vollstndig ausgekhlt ist.
2 Gert zerlegen
Nehmen Sie die Abdeckung [1] vom Luftbefeuchter.
Ziehen Sie den Wassertank [8] an den Griffmulden [7] nach oben aus dem Luft-
befeuchter. Schrauben Sie den Tankverschluss [9] vom Wassertank [8] ab.
Ziehen Sie den Dampfturm [3] nach oben aus dem Luftbefeuchter. Nehmen Sie
die Dampfdse [2] vom Dampfturm [3].
Entfernen Sie das Kalkpad [4] aus der Heiwasserkammer [5].

Gert reinigen

1 Gert innen und auen reinigen

WARNUNG
Elektrische Teile nicht mit Wasser in Berhrung bringen.
Gert keinesfalls unter flieendes Wasser halten oder in Wasser tauchen.

Falls sich noch Restwasser im Gert befindet, schtten Sie es weg. Nehmen Sie
dazu das Gert mit beiden Hnden und kippen Sie das Wasser seitlich aus dem
Unterteil.
Splen Sie das Gert innen grndlich mit frischem Wasser aus.
Wischen Sie das Gehuse des Luftbefeuchters [6] auen mit einem feuchten
Lappen und einem milden Reinigungsmittel sauber.
2 Einzelteile reinigen
Waschen Sie das Kalkpad [4] mit klarem Wasser aus. Hartnckige Kalkablage-
rungen knnen Sie entfernen, indem Sie das Kalkpad [4] erst in eine schwache
Essiglsung legen. Falls das Kalkpad [4] hart und nicht mehr biegsam ist, muss
es ersetzt werden (siehe nchsten Abschnitt 3 Kalkpad auswechseln).
Reinigen Sie die folgenden Einzelteile des Gertes grndlich mit Splmittel und
warmem Wasser. Entfernen Sie die Rckstnde von Reinigungsmitteln grndlich.
Wassertank [8] und Tankverschluss [9]
Bei der Reinigung des Tankverschlusses [9] das Ventil nicht beschdigen!
Dampfturm [3] und Dampfdse [2]
Abdeckung [1]

3 Kalkpad auswechseln
Kalkpads erhalten Sie bei der Service-Adresse oder dem Fachhndler.

Entfernen Sie das verbrauchte Kalkpad [4] aus der Heiwasserkammer [5]. Ent-
sorgen Sie das Kalkpad im Hausmll.
Falls sich noch Restwasser im Gert befindet, schtten Sie es weg.
Verwenden Sie ein neues Kalkpad [4].
Waschen Sie das neue Kalkpad [4] mit klarem Wasser aus und legen Sie es in
die Heiwasserkammer [5].

Gert entkalken

1 Luftbefeuchter entkalken
Versuchen Sie keinesfalls, Kalkablagerungen mit spitzen oder scharfen
Gegenstnden zu entfernen. Der Luftbefeuchter knnte dadurch be-
schdigt oder undicht werden.
Beachten Sie auch die Hersteller-Hinweise zu Ihrem Entkalkungsmittel.
Verwenden Sie ein handelsbliches Entkalkungsmittel.
Fllen Sie die Heiwasserkammer [5] bis zum Rand mit Entkalkerlsung.
Lassen Sie die Entkalkerlsung so lange einwirken, bis sich der Kalk gelst hat.

 2 Schtten Sie die Entkalkerlsung weg. Kippen Sie das Gert seitlich und entfer-
nen Sie so die Entkalkerlsung.
Splen Sie das Gert grndlich mit frischem Wasser aus.

Nach dem Reinigen und Entkalken

1 Kalkpad einlegen
Legen Sie das gereinigte Kalkpad oder das Ersatz-Kalkpad [4] in die Heiwas-
serkammer [5].
2 Gert zusammensetzen
Setzen Sie den Dampfturm [3] wieder in den Luftbefeuchter ein. Drcken Sie die
Dampfdse [2] in die ffnung oben am Dampfturm [3].
Schrauben Sie den Tankverschluss [9] auf den Wassertank [8]. Setzen Sie den
Wassertank [8] in den Luftbefeuchter ein.
Setzen Sie die Abdeckung [1] oben auf den Luftbefeuchter.

Luftfilter reinigen
Wir empfehlen eine wchentliche Reinigung des Luftfilters.

1 Drehen Sie den Luftbefeuchter so, dass Ihnen die Luftfilterklappe [11] auf der
Gerte-Rckseite zugewandt ist. ffnen Sie den Schnappverschluss an der
Klappe und entfernen Sie die Luftfilterklappe [11].
Entnehmen Sie den schwarzen Luftfilter [12] und splen Sie ihn mit frischem
Wasser grndlich aus.
2 Sobald der Filter [12] trocken ist, knnen Sie den Luftfilter wieder zusammen-
setzen. Legen Sie den schwarzen Luftfilter [12] innen in die Luftfilterklappe [11]
ein.
Hngen Sie die beiden Hkchen der Luftfilterklappe [11] rechts in die Luftfilter-
ffnung ein. Drcken Sie dann fest auf die Luftfilterklappe [11], bis der Schnapp-
verschluss einrastet.

9 DER NUTZEN VON LUFTBEFEUCHTUNG

Die optimale Luftfeuchtigkeit in Innenru-
men sollte bei 50 55% liegen. Vor allem
whrend der Heizperiode liegt die Luft-
feuchtigkeit hufig weit unter diesem emp-
fohlenen Wert. Ursache dafr sind wrme-
isolierte Wnde und Fenster, die nur einen
geringen Austausch von Auen- und Innen-
luft zulassen. Hohe Heizkosten, nicht zu
ffnende Fenster und ungnstige Wetter-
bedingungen stehen der natrlichen Feuch-
tigkeitsregulierung durch Lften durch
ffnen von Fenstern und Tren entgegen.
Richtig dosierte knstliche Luftbefeuch-
tung bindet auerdem Staub und verhin-
dert Trockenschden an Einrichtungsge-
genstnden (Holz, Papier etc.), Musikin-
strumenten und Pflanzen.
Ihre Raumfeuchtigkeit knnen Sie mit
einem Hygrostaten messen. Die Luftfeuch-
tigkeit hngt von der Raumtemperatur ab:
18C entspricht relative Feuchte von 50 %
20C entspricht relative Feuchte von 45 %
22C entspricht relative Feuchte von 40 %

Da Luft einen bestimmten idealen Feuch-
tigkeitsgehalt anstrebt, ist es sinnvoll, der
Luft knstlich Feuchtigkeit zu zufhren. So
kann verhindert werden, dass die Luft ihren
Feuchtigkeitsbedarf aus anderen Quellen
wie Pflanzen, Mbeln, Papier aber auch
aus der menschlichen Haut und den
Schleimhuten zieht.
Konkret kann die knstliche Luftbefeuch-
tung folgende Gesundheitsschden, die
durch eine verminderte Sauerstoffzufuhr
entstehen knnen, vermeiden:
Konzentrationsschwche, Abgespannt-
heit, Mdigkeit
Anflligkeit fr Infektionen und Erkl-
tungskrankheiten
Trockene Haut, Ekzeme durch Aus-
trocknung
10 GARANTIE UND SERVICE
Wir leisten 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum fr
Material- und Fabrikationsfehler des Produk-
tes. Die Garantie gilt nicht:
im Falle von Schden, die auf unsachge-
mer Bedienung beruhen,
fr Verschleiteile,
fr Mngel, die dem Kunden bereits bei
Kauf bekannt waren,
bei Eigenverschulden des Kunden,
bei Eingriff von Dritten.
Die gesetzlichen Gewhrleistungen des Kun-
den bleiben durch die Garantie unberhrt. Fr
Geltendmachung eines Garantiefalles inner-
halb der Garantiezeit ist durch den Kunden
der Nachweis des Kaufes zu fhren.

Es empfiehlt sich, den Luftbefeuchter
gleich zu Beginn der Heizperiode in Be-
trieb zu nehmen. Dadurch bleibt die vor-
handene Feuchtigkeit im Innenraum und
den Mbeln gleichmig erhalten. Wh-
rend der ersten Wochen der Heizperiode
sollte das Gert so eingesetzt werden,

4 START-UP
Unpacking
Check contents: If any parts are missing,
please contact your authorized dealer.
Remove all packaging and transport
locks.
Clean before using for the first time
For reasons of hygiene, we recommend
rinsing the humidifier, water tank and pad [4]
thoroughly with cold water before using for
the first time. Proceed as described in
Chapter 6 'Care', in the section on 'Cleaning
the Appliance', page 17.
Connecting mains cable
WARNING
Before putting the appliance into
operation, make sure that the cable [14]
is not damaged. Never operate the
appliance if the mains cable is
damaged.
The appliance may only be operated
with the voltage indicated on the rating
plate.
Connect your humidifier to the mains by
plugging the mains plug [14] into the wall
socket.

Humidifier placement Filling the tank

Caution Before using the appliance for the first time,
the tank must be filled. See Chapter 5
Place the appliance so that the steam 'Operation', in the section on 'Filling the
nozzle is not pointing directly at a wall. Tank' (page 15).
The exiting moisture might otherwise
cause damage to walls, particularly to
wallpaper.

Place the humidifier on a firm, even,

water-resistant surface.
Position the mains cable [14] so that the
appliance cannot be knocked over.

5 OPERATION
1 Filling the tank
Fill the tank when putting the appliance into operation for the first time or if the red
indicator [A] is illuminated, indicating that the water level is too low.

IMPORTANT
Only ever use fresh tap water to fill the tank.
Never put any additives into the water.
Make sure that the tank catch with seal on the base of the water tank is tightly
fastened before putting the appliance into operation.
Remove the cover [1] from the humidifier.
Pull the water tank out of the humidifier using the handles [7]. Unscrew the tank
catch [9] from the tank.
Rinse out the water tank with clean water.
Fill the water tank with cold tap water.
Screw the tank catch onto the water tank. Place the water tank in the humidifier.
Place the cover [1] on top of the humidifier.
2 Switching on the appliance
IMPORTANT
Never switch on the humidifier without the water tank or steam tower [3].

Press the ON/OFF button [D] in order to switch on the humidifier. The green
indicator [B] is illuminated.
Before the steam starts exiting: Rotate the steam nozzle [2] so that the steam exits
in the required direction.
After a few minutes, the appliance starts to give off steam. The green indicator [B] is
illuminated while the appliance is switched on and connected to the mains.
3 Selecting the amount of steam
Select the amount of steam using the steam button [C] .
Level 1: minimum steam (approx. 150 ml/h)
Level II: maximum steam (approx. 400 ml/h)
After a few minutes, the appliance alters the amount of steam generated.
4 Switching off the appliance

The appliance is suitable for continuous operation. We recommend,

however, that it is not operated for any length of time without
supervision (night operation).
The appliance has an automatic switch-off function when the tank is
empty.
Press the ON/OFF button [D] in order to switch off the appliance. The green
indicator light [B] goes out.

Before cleaning and descaling

1 Unplug the appliance

Switch off the appliance with the ON/OFF button [D]. The green indicator light [B]
goes out.
Pull the plug [14] out from the wall socket and wait at least 15 minutes until the
humidifier has entirely cooled.
2 Disassemble the appliance
Remove the cover [1] from the humidifier.
Pull the water tank out of the humidifier using the handles [7]. Unscrew the tank
catch [9] from the tank.
Pull up the steam tower [3] out of the humidifier. Remove the steam nozzle [2]
from the steam tower [3].
Remove the pad [4] from the hotwater chamber.

Cleaning the appliance

1 Clean the inside and outside of the appliance

WARNING
Electrical parts must never come into contact with water.
Never hold the appliance under running water or immerse in water.

If there is any water left in the appliance, pour it away. To do this, hold the
appliance with both hands and tip the water out from the side of the base unit.
Rinse out the inside of the appliance thoroughly with clean water.
Wipe the outside of the humidifier casing [6] with a damp cloth and mild cleaning
agent.
2 Clean individual parts
Wash the pad [4] with clean water. You can remove stubborn limescale by first
putting the pad [4] in a weak vinegar solution. If the pad [4] is hard and rigid, it
must be replaced (see next section 3 'Changing the pad').
Clean the following individual parts of the appliance thoroughly with washing-up
liquid and warm water. Any residue from cleaning agents should be thoroughly
removed.
Tank [8] and tank catch [9]
When cleaning the tank catch [9], do not damage the valve.
Steam tower [3] and steam nozzle [2]
Cover [1]

3 Changing the pad

Pads are obtainable from the service address or from the authorised
dealer.
Remove the worn pad [4] from the hotwater chamber. Dispose of the pad in the
household refuse.

 If there is any water left in the appliance, pour it out.
Use a new pad [4].
Wash out the new pad [4] with clean water and put in the hotwater chamber.

Descaling the appliance

1 Descale the humidifier

Never try to remove any limescale deposit with pointed or sharp
objects. This might damage the humidifier or cause it to leak.
You should also note the manufacturer's advice for the descaling agent
which you are using.
Use a standard commercial descaling agent.
Fill the hotwater chamber up to the brim with descaling solution.
Leave the descaling solution to work until the limescale has dissolved.
2 Pour away the descaling solution. Tip the appliance sideways to remove the
descaling solution.
Rinse out the appliance thoroughly with clean water.

After cleaning and descaling

1 Insert the pad

Put the cleaned pad or replacement pad [4] into the hotwater chamber.
2 Assemble the appliance
Put the steam tower [3] back into the humidifier. Press the steam nozzle [2] into
the opening at the top of the steam tower [3].
Screw the tank catch [9] onto the water tank [8]. Place the water tank [8] in the
humidifier.
Place the cover [1] on top of the humidifier.

Cleaning the air filter

We recommend cleaning the air filter every week.

1 Turn the humidifier so that the air filter flap [11] at the back of the appliance is
facing you. Undo the catch on the flap and remove the air filter flap [11].
Remove the black air filter [12] and rinse it thoroughly with clean water.
2 Once the filter is dry you can reassemble the air filter. Insert the black air filter [12]
inside the air filter flap [11].
Insert the two small hooks of the air filter flap [11] into the right of the air filter
opening. Press the filter flap firmly until it clicks into place.

9 BENEFITS OF HUMIDIFICATION
Optimal indoor air humidity should be 50
55%. Particularly during the heating period,
humidity is often well below this
recommended level. This is due to heat-
insulated walls and windows which only
allow minimum exchange of outside and
inside air. Natural regulation of humidity
through 'ventilation by opening windows
and doors' is discouraged by high heating
costs, windows that cannot be opened and
inclement weather conditions.
As air 'seeks' a specific ideal humidity
content, it is advisable to provide air with
artificial humidity. This can help prevent air
from drawing its humidity from other
sources such as plants, furniture, paper
and also from human skin and mucous
membrane.
In concrete terms, artificial air humidi-
fication can help prevent the following
health problems which may occur as a
result of a reduced oxygen supply.
Tension, tiredness, poor concentration
Susceptibility to infections, coughs and
sneezes
Dry skin, eczema from skin drying out

damage to equipment (wood, paper, etc.),

You can measure your room humidity with
a humidistat. Humidity depends on room
temperature:
18C corresponds to a relative humidity of 50 %
20C corresponds to a relative humidity of 45 %
22C corresponds to a relative humidity of 40 %
It is advisable to start operating the
humidifier right at the start of the heating
period. The existing humidity inside the
room and in the furniture can then be kept
constant. During the first few weeks of the
heating period, the appliance should be
used in such a way that you achieve at
least 50%
Note that with this humidifier, it also
possible to over-humidify the room, e.g. if
you operate the appliance at a high
setting

Mise en place de lhumidificateur
Attention
Installez lappareil de sorte que la buse de
vapeur rotative ne soit pas tourne direc-
tement vers un mur. Lhumidit qui en sort
pourrait provoquer des dommages sur le
mur, notamment sur le papier peint.

Posez lhumidificateur sur un support plat,

ferme et rsistant leau.
Placez le cordon dalimentation [14] de
sorte que lappareil ne puisse pas se ren-
verser.

5. UTILISATION
1 Remplissage du rservoir deau
Si vous voulez mettre lappareil en marche ou si le tmoin de contrle rouge [A]
sallume indiquant que le niveau deau est bas, remplissez le rservoir deau.

ATTENTION
Pour remplir le rservoir deau, utilisez exclusivement de leau du robinet
propre.
Najoutez aucun produit quelconque leau.
Avant de mettre lappareil en marche, vrifiez que le bouchon du rservoir
avec joint est bien ferm dans le bas du rservoir.
Retirez le couvercle [1] de lhumidificateur.
Retirez le rservoir deau de lhumidificateur par le haut en vous aidant des creux

2 Mise en marche de lappareil
ATTENTION
Ne mettez jamais lhumidificateur en marche sans son rservoir deau ni sa
tour dvaporation [3].
Pour mettre lhumidificateur en marche, appuyez sur la touche ON/OFF [D]. Le
tmoin de contrle vert [B] sallume.
Avant que la vapeur sorte : Tournez la buse de vapeur [2] de sorte que la vapeur
sorte dans la direction souhaite.
Au bout de quelques minutes, de la vapeur commence sortir de lappareil. Le
tmoin de contrle vert [B] sallume tant que lappareil est branch et allum.
3 Choix de la quantit de vapeur
Choisissez la quantit de vapeur au moyen de la touche vapeur [C] .
Position I : peu de vapeur (env. 150 ml/h)
Position II : beaucoup de vapeur (env. 400 ml/h)
Au bout de quelques minutes, le dbit de vapeur de lappareil commence changer.

4 Arrt de lappareil

Lappareil est prvu pour fonctionner en continu. Nous vous recom-

mandons cependant de ne pas le laisser fonctionner longtemps sans
surveillance (mode nuit).
Lappareil est quip dune fonction de dsactivation automatique
lorsque le rservoir deau est vide.
Pour arrter lappareil, appuyez sur la touche ON/OFF [D]. Le tmoin de contrle
vert [B] steint.

Avant le nettoyage et le dtartrage

1 Mise hors secteur de lappareil

Eteignez lappareil au moyen de la touche ON/OFF [D]. Le tmoin de contrle
vert [B] steint.
Dbranchez lappareil [14] et attendez au moins 15 minutes que lhumidificateur
ait compltement refroidi.
2 Dmontage de lappareil
Retirez le couvercle [1] de lhumidificateur.
Retirez le rservoir deau de lhumidificateur par le haut en vous aidant des creux
de prhension [7]. Dvissez le bouchon [9] du rservoir deau.
Retirez la tour dvaporation [3] de lhumidificateur par le haut. Retirez la buse de
vapeur [2] de la tour dvaporation [3].
Retirez le tampon anti-tartre [4] de la chambre deau chaude.

Nettoyage de lappareil

1 Nettoyage de lintrieur et de lextrieur de lappareil

AVERTISSEMENT
Ne mettez pas les lments lectriques au contact de leau.
Ne mettez en aucun cas lappareil sous leau courante et ne le plongez ja-
mais dans leau.
Si lappareil contient encore un reste deau, videz cette eau. Pour cela, saisissez
lappareil des deux mains et dversez leau par le bas sur le ct.
Rincez soigneusement lintrieur de lappareil avec de leau propre.
Nettoyez lextrieur du carter [6] de lhumidificateur avec un chiffon humide im-
prgn de produit de nettoyage doux.
2 Nettoyage des diffrentes pices
Lavez le tampon anti-tartre [4] leau claire. Pour liminer les dpts de tartre
rebelles, placez le tampon anti-tartre [4] dans une solution de vinaigre peu con-
centre. Si le tampon anti-tartre [14] est dur et ne peut plus tre pli, remplacez-
le (voir le paragraphe suivant 3 Remplacement du tampon anti-tartre ).
Nettoyez soigneusement les lments suivants de lappareil au produit de vais-
selle et leau chaude. Eliminez soigneusement les rsidus de produits de net-
toyage.

Lors du nettoyage du bouchon du rservoir [9], veillez ne pas endommager la
soupape !
Tour dvaporation [3] et buse de vapeur [2]

3 Remplacement du tampon anti-tartre

Vous pouvez vous procurer des tampons anti-tartre auprs dun point de
service aprs-vente ou de votre dpositaire.
Retirez le tampon anti-tartre [4] usag de la chambre deau chaude. Jetez le

 tampon anti-tartre avec les dchets mnagers.
Si lappareil contient encore un reste deau, videz cette eau.
Utilisez un tampon anti-tartre [4] neuf.
Lavez le tampon anti-tartre [4] neuf leau claire et placez-le dans la chambre
deau chaude.

Dtartrage de lappareil

1 Dtartrage de lhumidificateur
Nessayez en aucun cas denlever les dpts de tartre au moyen
dobjets pointus ou tranchants. Vous pourriez endommager
lhumidificateur ou lui faire perdre son tanchit.
Respectez galement les consignes du fabricant de votre dtartrant.
Utilisez un dtartrant du commerce.
Remplissez la chambre deau chaude de solution de dtartrage jusquau bord.
Laissez la solution agir jusqu ce que le tartre se dtache.
2 Videz la solution de dtartrage. Penchez lappareil sur le ct et dversez la solu-
tion de dtartrage.
Rincez soigneusement lappareil avec de leau propre.

Aprs le nettoyage et le dtartrage

1 Mise en place du tampon anti-tartre

Placez le tampon anti-tartre propre ou de rechange [4] dans la chambre deau
chaude.
2 Assemblage de lappareil
Remettez la tour dvaporation [3] en place dans lhumidificateur. Enfoncez la
buse de vapeur [2] dans louverture en haut de la tour dvaporation [3].
Vissez le bouchon [9] sur le rservoir deau [8]. Placez le rservoir deau [8] dans
lhumidificateur.
Mettez le couvercle [1] en place sur le haut de lhumidificateur.

Nettoyage du filtre air

Nous vous recommandons de nettoyer le filtre air chaque semaine.

1 Tournez lhumidificateur de sorte que le volet du filtre air [11] situ au dos de
lappareil soit tourn vers vous. Ouvrez le fermoir cliquet sur volet et retirez le
volet du filtre air [11].
Retirez le filtre air noir [12] et rincez-le soigneusement leau frache.
2 Ds quil est sec, vous pouvez procder au remontage du filtre air. Placez le
filtre air noir [12] lintrieur du volet du filtre air [11].
Accrochez les deux petits crochets du volet du filtre air [11] droite dans
louverture du filtre air. Appuyez ensuite fermement sur le volet du filtre jusqu
ce que le fermoir cliquet senclenche.

9. UTILITE DE LHUMIDIFICATION
Lhumidit relative optimale lintrieur doit
tre de 50 55 %. Notamment pendant la
priode de chauffage, lhumidit de lair est
souvent trs infrieure cette valeur recom-
mande. Cela est d lisolation des murs et
des fentres qui permet seulement un faible
change entre lair extrieur et lair intrieur.
Les frais de chauffage levs, des fentres
que lon ne peut pas ouvrir et les conditions
mtorologiques dfavorables nuisent la
rgulation naturelle de lhumidit par la ven-
tilation par ouverture des fentres et des
portes .
Lair visant une certaine humidit idale, il
est logique de lhumidifier artificiellement.
Cela permet ainsi dviter lair de tirer
lhumidit qui lui est ncessaire dautres
sources telles que les plantes, les meubles, le
papier mais aussi la peau et les muqueuses
humaines.
Pour mesurer lhumidit ambiante de vos
pices, il suffit dutiliser un hygromtre.

2 INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
Lea detenidamente estas instrucciones de
uso! Si no se observa las instrucciones
siguientes, es posible que se produzcan
daos personales o materiales. Guarde el
presente manual de instrucciones para el

eventuales usuarios. En caso de transmitir el
aparato, entrguelo con estas instrucciones.
ADVERTENCIA: Electrocucin
Nunca quitar la clavija de la toma de
corriente tirando del cable [14] ni con
las manos mojadas.
Cuando desee cambiar de sitio el
aparato, primero apguelo, luego
desenchufe la clavija [14] y permita
que se enfre.
El aparato no se debe bascular, mover
o vaciar mientras est en marcha o
conectado a la red elctrica.

En caso de uso incorrecto, o de un uso
que no observe estas instrucciones,

El vapor del aparato est caliente!

5 MANEJO
1 Llenar el depsito de agua
Llena el depsito de agua cuando vaya a utilizar el aparato, o cuando se encienda
el indicador de control rojo [A] sealando un nivel de agua demasiado bajo.

ATENCIN
Utilice exclusivamente agua corriente limpia para llenar el depsito de agua.
No aada ningn aditivo al agua.
Asegrese que el cierre del depsito con junta en la parte inferior del depsito
de agua est bien cerrado, antes de poner el aparato en marcha.
Quite la cubierta [1] del humidificador.
Retire el depsito de agua del humidificador, tirndolo hacia arriba por los
asideros [7]. Desenrosque el tapn de cierre [9] del depsito de agua.
Enjuague el depsito con agua limpia.
Llene el depsito con agua corriente fra.
Enrosque el tapn de cierre al depsito de agua. Inserte el depsito en el
humidificador.
Coloque la cubierta [1] en la parte superior del humidificador.
2 Conectar el aparato
ATENCIN
Nunca conectar el humidificador sin depsito de agua o torre de vapor [3].

Pulse la tecla ON/OFF [D], para encender el humidificador. Se ilumina el

indicador de control [B] verde.
Antes de comience a salir vapor: Gire la tobera de vapor [2] de manera que el
vapor salga hacia la direccin deseada.
A los pocos minutos, el aparato comienza a sacar vapor. El indicador de control
verde [B] est encendido mientras el aparato est conectado a la red elctrica y en
marcha.
3 Seleccionar la cantidad de vapor
Seleccione la cantidad de vapor con la tecla de vapor [C]
.
Escaln I: poco vapor (aprox. 150 ml/h )
Escaln II: mucho vapor (aprox. 400 ml/h )
A los pocos minutos, el aparato comienza a sacar vapor con la intensidad
seleccionada.
4 Apagar el aparato

El aparato es apto para el trabajo constante. Sin embargo,

recomendamos no dejarlo funcionando durante un tiempo prolongado
sin supervisin (operacin nocturna).
El aparato dispone de una funcin de desconexin automtica en
caso de depsito de agua vaco.
Pulse la tecla ON/OFF [D], para apagar el aparato. Se apaga el indicador de
control [B] verde.

6 CUIDADOS

Generalidades
Su humidificador debera ser limpiado y
descalcificado regularmente, para que los
residuos del agua, como p.ej. la cal, no se
puedan acumular en el aparato. Slo el
cuidado esmerado asegura el mximo
rendimiento de vapor, la higiene y la larga
vida til del humidificador. La tabla siguiente
muestra las medidas necesarias:

1 Desenchufar el aparato de la red

Apague el aparato con la tecla ON/OFF [D]. Se apaga el indicador de control [B]
verde.
Desenchufe la clavija [14] de la toma de corriente y espere por lo menos
15 minutos, hasta que el humidificador se haya enfriado completamente.
2 Desmontar el aparato
Quite la cubierta [1] del humidificador.
Retire el depsito de agua del humidificador, tirndolo hacia arriba por los
asideros [7]. Desenrosque el tapn de cierre [9] del depsito de agua.
Retire la torre de vapor [3] del humidificador, tirndola hacia arriba. Quite la
tobera de vapor [2] de la torre de vapor [3].
Quite la almohadilla de cal [4] de la cmara de agua caliente.

Nunca poner el aparato bajo el grifo abierto ni sumergirlo en agua.
Si quedara un resto de agua en el aparato, trela. Para ello, coja el aparato con
ambas manos y vierta el agua lateralmente de la parte inferior.
Lave bien el aparato por dentro con agua limpia.
Pase un pao hmedo por el exterior de la caja [6] del humidificador, con un
producto limpiador suave.
2 Limpieza de piezas individuales
Lave la almohadilla de cal [4] con agua limpia. Los depsitos persistentes de cal
se pueden quitar sumergiendo primero la almohadilla de cal [4] en una solucin
con un poco de vinagre. Si la almohadilla de cal estuviese dura y ya no sea
flexible, deber ser cambiada (ver el apartado 3 siguiente Cambiar la
almohadilla antical.
Limpie bien las siguientes piezas individuales del aparato con producto
lavavajillas y agua caliente. Quite cuidadosamente los restos de producto limpia-
dor.
Depsito de agua [8] y tapn de cierre [9]
Al limpiar el tapn [9], observe de no daar la vlvula!
Torre de vapor [3] y tobera de vapor [2]
Cubierta [1]

3 Cambiar la almohadilla antical

Puede obtener las almohadillas dirigindose a la direccin de servicio o
el comercio especializado.
Quite la almohadilla de cal gastada [4] de la cmara de agua caliente. Tire la
almohadilla a la basura domstica.

 Si quedara un resto de agua en el aparato, trela.
Utilice una nueva almohadilla de cal [4].
Lave la nueva almohadilla de cal [4] con agua limpia y colquela en la cmara de
agua caliente.

Descalcificar el aparato

1 Descalcificar el humidificador
Nunca intente quitar depsitos de cal con objetos puntiagudos o
afilados. El humidificador podra resultar daado o con fugas.
Observe tambin las indicaciones del fabricante de su producto
descalcificador.
Utilice un producto descalcificador habitual.
Llene la cmara de agua caliente hasta el borde con solucin descalcificadora.
Deje actuar la solucin descalcificadora hasta que la cal se haya soltado.
2 Tire la solucin descalcificadora. Bascule el aparato lateralmente para vaciar la
solucin descalcificadora.
Enjuague bien el aparato con agua limpia.

Despus de limpiar y descalcificar

1 Colocar la almohadilla de cal

Colocar la almohadilla [4] de cal limpiada o la de repuesto en la cmara de agua
caliente.
2 Montar el aparato
Volver a colocar la torre de vapor [3] en el humidificador. Encajar la tobera de
vapor [2] en la apertura en la parte superior de la torre de vapor [3].
Enrosque el tapn de cierre [9] al depsito de agua [8]. Inserte el depsito de
agua [8] en el humidificador.
Coloque la cubierta [1] en la parte superior del humidificador.

Limpiar el filtro de aire

Recomendamos realizar una limpieza semanal del filtro de aire.

1 Girar el humidificador de manera que la compuerta del filtro de aire [11] quede
orientada hacia el lado posterior del aparato. Abra el cierre por resorte de la
compuerta y retire la compuerta del filtro de aire [11].
Quite el filtro de aire negro [12] y lvelo profusamente con agua limpia.
2 En cuando el filtro se haya secado, puede volver a montarlo. Coloque el filtro de
aire negro [12] en el interior de la compuerta de filtro de aire [11].
Enganche los dos pequeos ganchos de la compuerta de filtro de aire [11] a la
derecha en la apertura del filtro de aire. A continuacin presione fuertemente
sobre la compuerta de filtro, hasta que el cierre por resorte se enclave.

9 LOS BENEFICIOS DE LA HUMIDIFICACIN DEL AIRE
La humedad ptima del aire ambiental en
interiores debera ser del 50 55 %. Sobre
todo durante la temporada de calefaccin, la
humedad del aire suele estar muy por debajo
de este valor. La causa son las paredes y
ventanas con aislamiento trmico, que
permiten un escaso intercambio del aire
exterior e interior. Los elevados costes de la
calefaccin, ventanas que no se abren y
condiciones climatolgicas desfavorables van
en contra de la regulacin natural de la
humedad ventilando con la apertura de
puertas y ventanas.
Dado que el aire aspira a un determinado
contenido ideal de humedad, resulta til
aportarle la humedad artificialmente. De esta
manera se impide que el aire absorba la
humedad que necesita de otras fuentes,
como plantas, muebles, papel o tambin la
piel humana y las mucosas.
Ud. puede medir la humedad ambiental con
un higrmetro. La humedad del aire depende
de la temperatura ambiental:
18 C corresponden a una humedad relativa
del 50 %
20 C corresponden a una humedad relativa
del 45 %
22 C corresponden a una humedad relativa
del 40 %

En concreto, la humidificacin artificial del
aire puede evitar los siguientes daos
para la salud, que se pueden originar por
una aportacin reducida de oxgeno:
Extenuacin, fatiga, falta de concentracin
Propensin a infecciones y estados
gripales
Piel seca, eczemas por secado excesivo
Adems, la humidificacin artificial
dosificada correctamente liga el polvo y
evita daos por sequedad en objetos del
interior (madera, papel, etc.),
instrumentos de msica y plantas.
Se recomienda poner el humidificador en
uso nada ms comenzar la temporada de
calefaccin. De esta manera la humedad
se conserva uniformemente en el interior
y los muebles.
Durante las primeras semanas de la
temporada de calefaccin el aparato se
debera utilizar como para alcanzar un
mnimo del 50 %.

zione del vapore [2] o la pastiglia anti-
calcare [4] durante il funzionamento o
entro 15 minuti dopo lo spegnimento e
la sconnessione. Questi componenti
devono essere rimossi solo per la puli-
zia.
Poich all'interno di questo umidifica-
tore dell'aria vigono alte temperature,
prendere le misure necessarie al caso,
in particolare in presenza di bambini, e
collocare l'apparecchio in una posizio-
ne non accessibile ai bambini.

Conservazione e cura

4 MESSA IN SERVIZIO
Disinballo
Controllare il contenuto della fornitura. Se
mancano pezzi, rivolgersi al proprio riven-
ditore specializzato.
Rimuovere tutti i dispositivi di imballaggio
e di trasporto.
Pulizia prima di iniziare luso
Prima di usare lapparecchio per la prima
volta, consigliamo per motivi igienici di lavare
accuratamente con acqua fredda
lumidificatore e la pastiglia anticalcare [4]
Procedere come descritto al capitolo 6 Cu-
ra, sezione Pulizia dellapparecchio, pagi-
na 7.
Installazione dellumidificatore
ATTENZIONE
Collocare lapparecchio in modo che
lugello orientabile di erogazione del vapo-
re non sia rivolto direttamente contro una
parete. L'umidit uscente potrebbe provo-
care danni alle pareti, specialmente alle
carte da parato.
Allacciamento del cavo di
alimentazione
AVVERTENZA
Prima di mettere in funzione
lapparecchio, controllare se il cavo [14]
presenta danneggiamenti. Non usare
mai lapparecchio con un cavo di ali-
mentazione danneggiato.
Il presente apparecchio deve funziona-
re esclusivamente con la tensione indi-
cata sulla targhetta.
Allacciare lumidificatore alla rete elettrica
inserendo la spina [14] nella presa.
Riempimento del serbatoio dellacqua
Prima della messa in servizio necessario
riempire il serbatoio dellacqua. A tale scopo
consultare il capitolo 5 Uso, sezione Ri-
empimento del serbatoio dellacqua, pagina
5.

Collocare lumidificatore su una base pia-

na, solida e resistente allacqua.
Posizionare il cavo di alimentazione [14] in
modo che lapparecchio non possa essere
rovesciato.

5 USO
1 Riempimento del serbatoio dellacqua
Riempire il serbatoio dellacqua quando si mette in funzione lapparecchio oppure
quando la spia di controllo rossa [A] si accende indicando un livello dacqua troppo
basso.
ATTENZIONE
Per riempire il serbatoio utilizzare unicamente acqua di rubinetto fresca.
Non aggiungere allacqua in nessun caso additivi.
Assicurarsi che il tappo del serbatoio dellacqua, con la guarnizione sulla parte
inferiore del serbatoio, sia chiuso ermeticamente prima di mettere in funzione
lapparecchio.
Rimuovere la copertura [1] dallumidificatore.
Estrarre verso lalto il serbatoio dellacqua dallumidificatore afferrandolo per le
impugnature [7]. Svitare il tappo [9] dal serbatoio dellacqua.
Risciacquare il serbatoio con acqua fresca.
Riempire il serbatoio con acqua fredda di rubinetto.
Avvitare la chiusura sul serbatoio dellacqua. Inserire il serbatoio nellumidificatore.
Applicare la copertura [1] sullumidificatore.
2 Accensione dellapparecchio
ATTENZIONE
Non accendere mai lumidificatore senza serbatoio dellacqua o senza la
torre di vaporizzazione [3].
Premere il pulsante ON/OFF [D] per accendere lumidificatore. La spia luminosa
[B] si accende.
Prima dellinizio di erogazione del vapore: orientare lugello [2] in modo che il vapo-
re fuoriesca nella direzione desiderata.
Dopo pochi minuti l'apparecchio inizia ad erogare il vapore. La spia luminosa [B]
rimane accesa finch lapparecchio collegato alla rete elettrica ed acceso.
3 Selezione della quantit di vapore
Selezionare la quantit di vapore agendo sul pulsante del vapore [C].
Livello I: poco vapore (circa150 ml/h)
Livello II: molto vapore (circa 400 ml/h)
Dopo pochi minuti l'apparecchio inizia ad erogare la nuova quantit impostata di
vapore.
4 Spegnimento dellapparecchio

Lapparecchio idoneo al funzionamento continuo. Consigliamo co-

munque di non usarlo per lunghi periodi senza sorveglianza (funziona-
mento notturno).
L'apparecchio dotato di uno spegnimento automatico in caso di ser-
batoio dellacqua vuoto.
Premere il pulsante ON/OFF [D] per spegnere lapparecchio. La spia di controllo
verde [B] si spegne.

6 CURA

Panoramica
Pulire e decalcificare regolarmente lumidifi-
catore per prevenire il deposito nellappa-
recchio di sostanze sciolte nellacqua, come
ad es. il calcare. Solo una cura scrupolosa
garantisce che lumidificatore conservi una
capacit massima di produzione di vapore,
sia igienico e abbia una lunga durata di
servizio. Nella tabella sottostante sono
specificate tutte le misure necessarie.
AVVERTENZA
Prima di eseguire la pulizia o la decalcifi-
cazione dellumidificatore:
sconnettere assolutamente la spina
elettrica [14] dalla presa.
attendere finch lapparecchio non si
completamente raffreddato.
ATTENZIONE
Non pulire lumidificatore ed i suoi compo-
nenti nella lavastoviglie.

1 Disinserire lapparecchio dalla rete

Spegnere lapparecchio con il pulsante ON/OFF [D]. La spia di controllo verde [B]
si spegne.
Sconnettere la spina elettrica [14] dalla presa e attendere almeno 15 minuti finch
lumidificatore non si sar completamente raffreddato.
2 Smontare lapparecchio
Rimuovere la copertura [1] dallumidificatore.
Estrarre verso lalto il serbatoio dellacqua dallumidificatore afferrandolo per le
impugnature [7]. Svitare il tappo [9] dal serbatoio dellacqua.
Estrarre verso lalto la torre di vaporizzazione [3] dallumidificatore. Rimuovere
l'ugello di erogazione del vapore [2] dalla torre di vaporizzazione [3].
Rimuovere la pastiglia anticalcare [4] dalla camera dacqua calda.

Pulizia dellapparecchio

1 Pulizia interna ed esterna dellapparecchio

AVVERTENZA
Non mettere le parti elettriche a contatto con lacqua.
Non tenere mai lapparecchio sotto lacqua corrente o immergerlo nellacqua.

Svuotare leventuale acqua residua dallapparecchio. A tal fine prendere lappa-

recchio con entrambe le mani e svuotare lacqua lateralmente dalla parte inferiore.
Risciacquare accuratamente linterno dellapparecchio con acqua fresca.
Pulire la superficie esterna dellinvolucro [6] dellumidificatore utilizzando un panno
umido e un detergente non aggressivo.
2 Pulizia dei componenti
Lavare la pastiglia anticalcare [4] con acqua limpida. Per eliminare i depositi calcarei
ostinati immergere in primo luogo la pastiglia anticalcare [4] in una soluzione diluita
di acido acetico. Se la pastiglia anticalcare [4] indurita e non si pu pi piegare,
necessario sostituirla (vedere la successiva sezione 3 Sostituzione della pastiglia
anticalcare.
Pulire accuratamente i seguenti componenti dellapparecchio utilizzando un deter-
gente e acqua calda. Eliminare accuratamente i resti di detergente.
Serbatoio dellacqua [8] e tappo del serbatoio [9]
Durante la pulizia del tappo del serbatoio [9] prestare attenzione a non danneggia-
re la valvola!
Torre di vaporizzazione [3] e ugello di erogazione del vapore [2]
Copertura [1]

3 Sostituzione della pastiglia anticalcare

Le pastiglie anticalcare sono reperibili presso lindirizzo del Servizio Assisten-
za o i rivenditori specializzati.
Rimuovere la pastiglia anticalcare [4] consumata dalla camera dacqua calda. Smal-

 tire la pastiglia anticalcare nei rifiuti casalinghi.
Svuotare leventuale acqua residua dallapparecchio.
Utilizzare una nuova pastiglia anticalcare [4].
Lavare la nuova pastiglia anticalcare [4] con acqua limpida e inserirla nella camera
dacqua calda.

Decalcificazione dellapparecchio

1 Decalcificare lumidificatore
Non tentare in nessun caso di rimuovere i depositi calcarei con lausilio di
oggetti appuntiti o sostanze aggressive. Lumidificatore potrebbe danneg-
giarsi o non essere pi stagno.
Rispettare sempre le indicazioni del produttore concernenti il decalcificante.
Utilizzare un decalcificante normalmente reperibile in commercio.
Riempire la camere dacqua calda fino allorlo con la soluzione decalcificante.
Fare agire il decalcificante finch il calcare non si completamente sciolto.
2 Svuotare il serbatoio dellacqua dalla soluzione decalcificante. Inclinare lateralmente
lapparecchio ed eliminare cos la soluzione decalcificante.
Risciacquare accuratamente lapparecchio con acqua fresca.

Dopo la pulizia e la decalcificazione

1 Inserire la pastiglia anticalcare

Inserire la pastiglia anticalcare ripulita o di ricambio [4] nella camera dacqua calda.
2 Rimontare lapparecchio
Inserire nuovamente la torre di vaporizzazione [3] nellumidificatore. Innestare l'ugello
di erogazione del vapore [2] nellapertura superiore della torre di vaporizzazione [3].
Avvitare il tappo [9] sul serbatoio dellacqua [8]. Inserire il serbatoio dellacqua [8]
nellumidificatore.
Applicare la copertura [1] sullumidificatore.

Pulizia del filtro dellaria

Si consiglia una pulizia settimanale del filtro dellaria.

Incardinare i due gancetti del coperchio del filtro dellaria [11], a destra, nellapertura

9 UTILIT DI UMIDIFICAZIONE DELLARIA
Il tasso ottimale di umidit in ambienti chiu-
si di 50 55%. Soprattutto durante il
periodo di riscaldamento lumidit spesso
molto inferiore a questo valore raccoman-
dato. La causa di questo fenomeno sono
pareti e finestre termoisolate che limitano
considerevolmente lo scambio fra aria
interna ed esterna. Alti costi di riscalda-
mento, finestre non apribili e condizioni
atmosferiche avverse contrastano la rego-
lazione naturale dellumidit aerando a-
prendo le finestre e le porte.
Poich laria ha la tendenza a mantenere
un determinato tasso di umidit ottimale,
utile umidificarla artificialmente. Ci con-
sente di impedire allaria di compensare il
suo fabbisogno in umidit sottraendola ad
altre fonti come piante, mobili, carta, ma
anche alla pelle umana e alle mucose.
Il tasso di umidit presente nei locali pu
essere misurata con un igrometro.
Lumidit dellaria dipende dalla temperatu-
ra ambiente.
18C corrispondono ad una umidit relativa
del 50 %
20C corrispondono ad una umidit relativa
del 45 %
22C corrispondono ad una umidit relativa
del 40 %

Concretamente, lumidificazione artificiale
dellaria pu prevenire i seguenti possibili
danni alla salute dovuti ad un ridotto apporto di
ossigeno:
Spossatezza, stanchezza, mancanza di
concentrazione
Predisposizione alle infezioni e malattie da
raffreddamento
Pelle secca, eczemi dovuti alla disidratazio-
ne
Un giusto dosaggio dellumidificazione artificia-
le lega inoltre la polvere e impedisce danni
dovuti alla disidratazione su suppellettili (le-
gno, carta, ecc.), strumenti musicali e piante.
Si consiglia di mettere in funzione
lumidificatore immediatamente allinizio del
periodo di riscaldamento. Ci consente di
mantenere lumidit uniforme, presente nei
locali e nei mobili.
Durante le prime settimane del periodo di
riscaldamento utilizzare lapparecchio in modo
da ottenere almeno un valore non inferiore al
50%.
Tener presente che l'uso di questo umidificato-
