La casa Former si evolve senza sosta. Partendo dalla perfetta combinazione dei segmenti orizzontali di Set System per
risolvere anche la pi complicata esigenza spaziale della zona giorno e non solo e attraverso la polifunzionalit di App,
sistema di armadi strutturali che creano spazio suddividendolo, essa approda con profitto nel mondo di nuovi pezzi che
hanno nel vissuto la loro spinta propulsiva per il domani dellarredamento. Infatti, mediante lutilizzo appropriato di essenze

ROBERTO LAZZERONIS BIOGRAPHY
Roberto Lazzeroni nasce a Pisa, il suo percorso professionale legato agli studi di Arte e Architettura
che compie a Firenze, ed agli interessi che matura negli anni della sua formazione quale attento
partecipe ai fenomeni dellarte concettuale e a quelli del Radical Design. E degli inizi degli anni ottanta,
il debutto nellattivit professionale con una serie di importanti lavori di Architettura dInterni che
vengono subito notati e pubblicati da riviste italiane ed estere. Quella dellarchitettura degli interni
a suo dire una disciplina necessaria, una palestra dove fare esperienze molteplici, sui materiali, sulle
tecniche e sulle problematiche della casa. Una esperienza fondamentale per il successivo approccio
al mondo del product design. Molto ricettivo nei confronti della storia del design e dei suoi segni, con
una propria cifra stilistica molto riconoscibile che lui ama definire design sentimentale infatti facile
anche per un occhio non esperto, percepire la tensione tra passato e futuro che esiste nei progetti
di Roberto Lazzeroni, il suo un design che senza ostentazioni di geometrie industriali ma anche senza
frivolezze estetizzanti, ricolloca gli oggetti in una storia, in una tradizione, in una memoria
autobiografica o collettiva.
Roberto Lazzeroni was born in Pisa, the town where he has chosen to live and to work. His professional
training is the result of studies - Art and Architecture in Florence. From the beginning he has always
shown an interest both in the phenomena of the world of conceptual art and in the ones of radical
design. In the early 80s he started to be interested in industrial and interior design, a specialization
which he defines fundamental for the following approach to the world of the industrial product.
A fine connoisseur of the history of design and its related signs, he is very skillful to put daily into practice
this knowledge. Talking about his own projects, Lazzeroni uses the expression of sentimental design;
it is indeed easy, even for an untrained eye, to see the tension between past and furure in this works.
This trend is nowadays defined as transitive design. The signs of past are somehow recognizable; they
are clearly worked out again and the outcome is a real and balanced tension between past and future.
Lazzeronis background and his way to understand design have caused his specialization to Art direction.

La libreria Nelson gioca e vince una partita fatta di versatilit e
fantasia. Pur freddamente catalogabile come libreria bifacciale,
Nelson sa sdoppiarsi in High e Low a secondo dellaltezza
predefinita ( 203 cm. oppure 114 ) e vivacizzarsi con il
fondamentale supporto dei colori, laccati a scelta accoppiati
alla tipica tonalit del legno di acero, i quali, alternandosi nella
configurazione dei fianchi, creano un movimento originale ma
mai legato al caso. Trait dunion i ripiani orizzontali in noce
canaletto o noce smoke in grado anchessi di prendersi
sorprendenti licenze poetiche potendo vivere di spessori diversi
allinterno dello stesso mobile.
Nelson bookcase plays and wins a fantasy and versatility match.
Even though it could hardly be defined as an either-sided
bookcase, Nelson can be both High and Low according to the
final height (203 or 114 cm) and it can be liven up by selected
colours: lacquered and carefully chosen joined to the classical
shades of maple wood, they create an original movement never
chosen by chance. The horizontal tops, which can be both in
Canaletto or in Smoke Walnut, join everything together and
can have different thickness in the same piece of furniture.

Ernest uno scrittoio prodigio. Il piano esalta il pregio delles-
senza lignea, noce Canaletto o Smoke, che sa plasmarsi sulle
esigenze arrotondate delloggetto senza mancare di mostrare
il suo intrinseco valore estetico. In pi le gambe, in metallo
conificato, accolgono il colore laccato alla stessa stregua della
parte deputata allalloggio dei cassetti. Ci che ne risulta, in
ultima analisi, un prodotto estremamente elegante il quale,
perfetta sintesi di materiali e finiture differenti, pur tuttavia non
dimentica affatto la sua ragion dessere funzionale. Colui che
scrive impegnato o prende distratti appunti non pu che essere
riconoscente a Ernest..
Ernest is a wonderful writing desk. The top brings out the
wooden finish, Canaletto or Smoke Walnut, and shows its
intrinsic aesthetic value. The metal cone-shaped legs are in
colour lacquer as well as the front with drawers. What comes
out is an absolutely elegant but practical product which is the
result of different materials and finishes. Whoever writes or takes

Uno scrittoio dalle caratteristiche discrete come Ernest, tanto
da essere liberamente e felicemente collocato in svariati ambiti
casalinghi senza esserne contaminato, ha dalla sua un design
inconfondibile. Rigoroso e armonioso allo stesso tempo, Ernest
si caratterizza proprio per la fusione in un unico prodotto della
pura linea con evidenti rotondit. Ci si materializza addirittura
allinterno di medesime sue componenti, come le gambe, filanti
ma dalla sezione tonda ed il piano, retto per definizione ma
ripiegato su se stesso alle estremit.
Ernest is a writing table with sober characteristics. It can be
freely and happily placed in different rooms, thanks to its unique
design. Rigorous and harmonious at the same time, Ernest is
characterized by delicate lines with some round-shaped parts,
as for its legs, slender but with a round section, and its top
which is straight but bent at the edges.

Un tavolo con la struttura completamente in massello gi
echeggia il termine pregiato. Dipende, poi, dal disegno della
medesima struttura e dalla sua lavorazione fare proprio e senza
riserve questo aggettivo. Bill non teme confronti da un lato e
dallaltro tanto da proporsi con il piano in cristallo, (trasparente,
extralight o finitura bronzo) atto a svelarne senza remore ogni sua
intrinseca caratteristica e ciascun suo inconfondibile tratto lavorato
su nobile legno di noce, che sia esso canaletto o smoke.

A table with the structure in solid wood can be defined
precious also thanks to the design of its structure and to its
manufacturing. Bill doesn't fear comparisons and it is proposed
with a crystal top (transparent, extra-light or bronzed) which
can reveal every characteristic and every detail of the manu-
facturing of Canaletto or Smoke walnut.

Lucille si dimostra una sedia pressoch unica. Innanzitutto, il di-
segno che le da vita si caratterizza per la sbarazzina apertura
nello schienale che non toglie affatto comodit ma altres aggiunge
originalit alla sua seduta e per le gambe coniche in massello di
noce canaletto o smoke a richiamare il gemello sul retro dello
schienale stesso. Quindi ci sono le finiture del rivestimento.
La scelta della pelle le conferisce aristocratica bellezza che
lalternativa possibilit dellecopelle non sminuisce per niente.
Lucille is a unique chair. Firstly, its design is characterized by
the opening into the back, which makes it comfortable and
original, but also by the cone shaped legs in Canaletto or
Smoke walnut which match with the back of the chair. As for
the covering finishes, the leather gives this chair an aristocratic
beauty which is not lowered by eco-leather.

Il felice viaggio a ritroso nel tempo di Former si realizza appieno
con la credenza Everyone. Seguendo il ricorrente motivo dei
piedini conici in massello di noce canaletto o smoke riportato
fedelmente anche nella struttura, essa si schiude virtuosa grazie
ad ante scorrevoli indipendenti strutturalmente e per laccatura di
colore, mai uguale sui due lati. Allinterno, la scelta dellacero per
il fondo ed i ripiani davvero illuminante allesteta ed alla vista.
Former travels back in time also thanks to Everyone sideboard,
with its cone shaped feet and structure in Canaletto or Smoke
walnut solid wood and also with its independent sliding doors in
different colour lacquer. In the internal part, the maple wood has
been chosen for the bottom and for the shelves and this inspires
the appearance.

La serie dei tavolini Stone River si compone di 6 elementi diversi
tra loro per foggia, triangolare o pi arrotondata, dimensione,
con graduale escursione da cm. 50 fino a 104 e altezza con due
varianti ben proporzionate (cm. 37 e cm. 60). A finitura laccata
opaca, la struttura, piano in MDF e gambe in acciaio curvato, si
fa apprezzare anche per la civettuola rotondit alla base che con-
ferisce alloggetto unanima affatto scontata.
The series of Stone River small tables has 6 elements which are
different because of the triangular or rounded shape, the
dimension, from 50 to 104 cm, and also the height with two
different versions (37 and 60 cm). The finish is matt lacquer,
the top is in MDF and the legs are in metal. The base is round-
shaped and it gives a new soul to the table

BIOGRAFIA MARZIA E LEONARDO DAINELLI
Marzia e Leonardo, architetti e designers, fondano nel 2007 lo Studio Reverso.
Come loro sede hanno scelto un rustico del seicento ristrutturato in chiave
moderna nel cuore della toscana. Location che ben si addice al loro metodo
progettuale: tradurre il passato nella grazia delle forma, nella semplicit del
segno, nella sincerit del progetto. Un percorso segnato dallespressione di
idee innovative li ha portati alla collaborazione con importanti aziende del
settore del mobile come artdirector e progettisti. Il loro punto di forza sta nel
seguire tutto liter progettuale: dallidea iniziale, alla prototipazione a fianco
degli artigiani, dallindustrializzazione, alla comunicazione del prodotto.
Grazie ad un ampio ventaglio di competenze nel settore del design sono
attivi in vari ambiti: product, interior, exhibition, graphic.
Marzia and Leonardo, architects and designers, established in 2007 studio
Reverso. As far as their headquarters, they chose a seventeenth century
rustic house in the heart of Tuscany, that has been restored with a modern
twist.This location is well suited for their project methodology: to translate
the past in the grace of forms, in the simplicity of sign, in the sincerity of
project. A route, marked by the expression of innovative ideas, has allowed
them to obtain collaborations as art directors and planners with leading
furniture companies. Their strength is following the whole project: from the
initial idea to the model developed with craftsmen, from the production to
the communication of the product. Thanks to a wide range of skills they are
active in a lot of areas of design including product, interior, exhibition and
graphic.

Lisbeth sinonimo di comodit. Tuttavia, riducendola ad una
semplice poltroncina ove riposarsi e meditare, si corre il rischio
di commettere un peccato di lesa maest. Lisbeth puro stile
coi tre segmenti imbottiti fasciati in tessuto, pelle o ecopelle,
Lisbeth solido design sostenuto da un basamento reclinato in
rovere, noce canaletto o smoke, Lisbeth appartiene a quella
schiera di oggetti che con la loro sola presenza donano perso-
nalit allambiente, zona giorno o notte che sia.
Lisbeth is synonymous with comfort. But using it as a simple
armchair where to rest and to think, you can run the risk of not
fully enjoying it. Lisbeth is pure style with three upholstered parts
in fabric, leather or eco-leather, Lisbeth is solid design with a
skirting in oak, Canaletto or Smoke walnut and it is one of the
objects which have a personality both inside a sleeping or a li-
ving area.

Mikael chiama Lisbeth e viceversa. Figli della stessa matita e
gemelli nel concetto di design che li anima, il letto riporta nella
testata (tessuto, pelle o ecopelle) lo stesso taglio orizzontale
che, nel suo caso, bipartisce limbottitura. La struttura di base
richiama sostanza (rovere, noce canaletto o smoke) e contenuto
nel tratto inconfondibile dei piedini. Naturalmente, per, anche
Mikael sa rifulgere di linea propria ispirandosi a sapori nordici
ed elegantemente semplici.
Mikael calls Lisbeth and vice versa. Children of the same pencil
and design concept, The bed headboard (in fabric, leather or
eco-leather) keeps the same horizontal cut which divides the
stuffing in two parts. The structure of the base calls to mind form
and content (oak, Canaletto or Smoke walnut) with regard to
the feet. Of course, Mikael has also its own traits as it is inspired
by Nordic taste.

Lo studio di design Claesson Koivisto Rune stato fondato da Mrten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola
Rune a Stoccolma nel 1995 come un studio di architettura ma, come spesso accade in Scandinavia, in
effetti multidisciplinare, cio sia larchitettura che il design sono praticati con medesima enfasi. Molti i loro
progetti darchitettura e prodotti di design riconosciuti in tutto il mondo. Larchitettura ed il design dei
mobile di Claesson Koivisto Rune sono lesempio lampante di come linventiva, lumorismo e il
rovesciamento delle forme comuni pu produrre nuovi panorami per le nostre menti, panorami che
possono essere espressi con una semplicit istintiva e non con un riduttivo e timido minimalismo.

The Swedish design partnership Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded by Mrten Claesson, Eero Koivisto
and Ola Rune in Stockholm in 1995 as an architectural office but actually , in the classic Scandinavian
way, it is multi-disciplinary which means that both architecture and design is practised with equal
emphasis. There are many architecture and design products of them well-known all over the world.
The architecture and furniture designs by Claesson Koivisto Rune are the most evident example of
the way inventiveness, humour and the reversals of stock forms can produce new panoramas for our
minds, and these panoramas can be expressed with an instinctive simplicity, not with a reductive and

design estremamente gradevoli nella loro razionale semplicit,
fanno cultura. Infatti rappresentano un tributo al grande architetto
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe ed alla sua Farnsworth House creata nel
1951 ed ancor oggi considerata una vera icona dellarchitettura
domestica contemporanea. I designer hanno concepito in tal
modo una miriade di soluzioni diverse tra loro. Quella rettangolare
e quadrata (per entrambi base e top in legno di frassino naturale
o tinto, noce canaletto o smoke; base e top in legno con cristallo
laccato; base in legno e top in cristallo trasparente sostenuto
da apposito telaio in legno; base e top laccati opachi) nonch
quella tonda (base e top in legno di frassino naturale o tinto, noce
canaletto o smoke; base e top in legno con cristallo laccato;
base e top laccati opachi).
The collection of Farnsworth small tables is absolutely pleasant
in design and simplicity. They are a tribute to the great architect
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and to his Farnsworth House built in
1951 and still considered as an icon for the contemporary house
architecture. Several different solutions have been designed.
The rectangular and square one (both with base and top in natural
or dark ash wood, in Canaletto or Smoke walnut or with base
and top in wood with lacquered crystal or with base in wood
and top in transparent crystal with a wooden structure or also

BIOGRAFIA PINUCCIO BORGONOVO
Nasce a Giussano (MI) il 25 settembre nel 1956. Dopo aver conseguito gli studi allIstituto dArte di
Cant, matura una significativa esperienza presso il Centro Progetti di una delle principali industrie
di arredamento dove acquisisce unapprofondita conoscenza dei materiali, delle loro applicazioni
tecnologiche, dellingegnerizzazione dei prodotti e delle problematiche legate alla progettazione
industriale. Nel 1987 debutta nella libera professione divenendo consulente di alcune primarie aziende
di arredamento. Dalla collaborazione con i Centri Ricerca e Sviluppo e con i designer di queste ultime
nascono prodotti di successo internazionale. Dal 1992 inizia unintensa collaborazione con Former
per la quale progetta una collezione darredo completa basata su concetti innovativi che permettono,
tra laltro, lo sviluppo del primo componibile ad elementi finiti plurifunzionali apparso sul mercato.
Oltre alla progettazione ed industrializzazione dei prodotti, per alcune aziende si occupa anche della
direzione artistica e del coordinamento delle strategie di immagine coordinata.
Pinuccio Borgonovo was born in Giussano (Milan-Italy) in 1956. Following his studies at the State Art
Institute of Cant, he joined the Design Centre of a major furniture company, where he acquired
extensive experience in R&D within the field of products industrial design. In 1987, he went free-lance
and worked as a consultant for some leading furniture companies. In collaboration with their R&D
Centers and designers, he created products of international success. In 1992, he started cooperating
with Former, designing a furniture collection based on innovative concepts that led to the development
of the first modular system to appear on the market with finished multi-purpose elements. In addition
to products design and industrialization, he is art director for some companies and responsible for
their image and communication strategies.

Sign una credenza che pu essere appoggiata a terra quanto
sospesa a parete. Il segno che pi la caratterizza la facciata
composta di doghe modulari di varie larghezze che, unite in sequenza
random, modellano una discontinuit curiosa quanto piacevole
alla vista, indipendentemente dalla finitura prescelta e che in ogni
caso ne viene esaltata. Dal noce smoke fino al colore laccato
lucido od opaco ed alla pregiata possibilit del top in marmo, invero,
Sign non perde mai il suo significato: fare di una normale credenza
un pezzo significativo e mai banale allinterno della casa

Sign is a sideboard that can be placed both on the floor and
on the wall. Its front characterizes it the most. It is composed
by modular slats of different widths which, if randomly joined
together, create a curious but yet pleasant irregularity. And
this brings out the chosen finish. From Smoke walnut to
matt or glossy lacquer and also to the precious possibility to
have the top in marble. Sign never loses its meaning creating
an important piece of furniture out of a normal sideboard.

Ecco la versione appesa a muro di Sign. Leggermente pi bassa
di quella che utilizza piedini con finitura titanio satinato (cm. 48
contro cm.76), essa si propone con disinvoltura allinterno
dellarredo domestico, in questo caso sfruttando il proverbiale
schienale multiuso dellarmadio App che diventa boiserie
amplificata dallinserimento di varie mensole.
Here is the Sign hanging sideboard. It is slightly lower than the
sideboard with matt titanium feet (48 cm against 76) and it
perfectly matches house interiors, in this case thanks to the mul-
tipurpose App wardrobe back panel which becomes a
boiserie panel enriched by several shelves.

Display nasce come contenitore per la zona giorno, quindi
credenza o madia, senza disdegnare la funzione di mobile porta
tv spaziando addirittura fino alla zona notte (com, comodini e
settimanale). La sua struttura comprende un volume inferiore in
rovere, noce canaletto o smoke oppure laccato opaco racchiuso
da ante o cassetti ed uno superiore raccolto nellabbraccio di
un piano di cristallo trasparente e dal leggero spessore, suo
vero elemento distintivo e versatile in quanto sfruttabile sia per
contenere sia per esporre.
Display was born as a unit for the living area, sideboard and also
as a tv stand. It can be used for the sleeping area as well (as a
chest of drawer, bedside table or seven-drawer dresser). Its
structure comprises a lower part in oak, Canaletto or Smoke
walnut or in matt lacquer, with doors or drawers and an upper
part embraced by a thin transparent crystal top which is its
most important feature.

Set System, sinserisce un ripiano dal forte spessore (cm. 7) in
rovere, noce canaletto o smoke oppure laccato opaco il quale
riunisce in s pregio estetico e alto valore funzionale.

function of bookcase with structural horizontal tops, you can
also have a shelf with a considerable thickness (7 cm) in oak,

orizzontali modulari sia in larghezza (da cm. 96 a cm. 288 con
passo intermedio di cm. 32) che in altezza (da cm. 32 a cm. 96).
I piani dappoggio possono essere a terra o sospesi e sono
connotati dallimportante spessore di cm. 3,5. Completano il
tutto cassettiere ed alveari insieme ad utili accessori quali
portapantaloni, portacravatte e specchi. Le finiture previste
sono il nobilitato larice e ed il nobilitato palissandro.
Cell walk-in closet is the natural evolution of App wardrobe
system. It can be hung both to the wall and to the back part of
an App wardrobe. It is made up of horizontal panels which can
have different widths (from 96 to 288 cm with intermediate size
of 32 cm) and heights (from 32 to 96 cm). The tops can be hung
to the wall as well as placed on the ground and are characterized
by a thickness of 3,5 cm. Chest of drawers and hives together
with trouser-holders, tie-holders and mirrors complete the walk-
in closet. Melaminic larch and melaminic rosewood are the
chosen finishes.
