Warm Greetings
Sharda Alumni Association-Reminiscences (SAAR) is,
growing steadily with your active association and
support. Recently a SAAR microsite has been
developed and its being regularly updated and
improved on the basis of your valuable suggestions
and feedback, We thank our alumni who have taken
pains and found time out of their busy schedules to
Fegister on this website. Also, the kind of cooperation
‘our alumni have extended to CACRC team members
who frequently disturbed them for data updating is
really appreciable.
Soon, we are going to invite our senior alumni for quest
lectures at their alma mater. We hope this endeavour
will open doors for smooth industry-academia
interaction and facilitate college to corporate transition
of your juniors. we have introduced Future Alumni Club
at each SGI college; wherein the students shall
establish an maintain active interaction with the alumni.
Alumni Mentor ship to students will be a focus area of
these clubs.
Inthis issue of Sansmriti, we have tried to include more
‘alumni participation in terms of articles and memories.
We have also covered our alumni who are working
abroad, those who have dared to choose very
unconventional career paths like acting, professional
writing and those who are enriching the knowledge and
practices in their fields through Research &

Dr. Sraban Mukherjee, new Director of HCST, is B.Sc (Tech), M.Tech and Ph.D. from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Delhi, graduate inCoaching and ACC credential holder from International
Coach Federation (US), qualified for administration of MBTI and DISC instruments. Dr. Sraban
Mukherjee has around 30 years of professional experience in large corporations in India where he
headed the Human Resource function, handled various critical HR assignments at business and
corporate strategic level. He worked at leadership position for various large organizations, viz. Grasim
Industries, J.K Organization, Thomson Press etc. His last assignment was with Hero Mindmine institute
Limited (A Hero Group Company) as Head (Consulting and Leadership Coaching).
“He spent around 10 years in teaching, training and academic industries. He delivered lecturers at
National and International Conferences, published action research papers at reputed international
journals, He has been quoted several times by leading newspapers and magazines in Coaching and HR related articles.
He traveled extensively on professional assignments to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong,
Several EU countries.

Anand Engineering College (AEC), Keetham, Agra celebrated its annual alumni meet on
= 26th April 2010. It tured out to be a memorable festival of joy and sharing for alumni,
ROC eete sc faculty/statf and students, The event was jointly convened by Mr. Vineet Silas, Head T&P
Officer and Dr. Amit Sharma, Dean, Academics, efficiently supported by Mr. Jitendra Dixit,
St. TPO and Mr Ashish Kumar, T&P Executive & Alumni Coordinator, AEC.
This time about 90 alumni from different batches and streams actively participated in the
meet and made it one of the most successful alumni meets in the history of Anand
Engineering College. The alumni were given a warm welcome by Dr. Somasekhar, Director
of the College, followed by a round of emotional and inspirational speeches by Prot. VK
‘Sharma, Director, TD&P SGI and other dignitaries. The alumni representatives from each
batch shared their college day's memories and work life experiences with the audience. The

BMAS Engineering College in association with National HRD Network ,Agra chapter and
‘Anand Engineering College organized a 2 -day national conference on * Managing
strategies strategically.” The objective of this conference was to bring researchers, faculty
members, industry professionals and students on a common platform to share their views,
and gain competency in tackling the problems related to strategic management and the
allied areas. The first day of the conference saw the presence of Air Commodore K.
Raghavendra as the chief guest for the inaugural session of the conference. Sharda Group
Principal Advisor- Prof. M.S. Teotia advised students on how to strategise their career and
professional life.On this occasion, Dr. Naveen Gupta- Director General ( Advent Group of
Institutions) gave tips to students on how to make reading more interesting. Conference
Chairperson Dr. C.K. Singh said that for the growth of companies, the CAR concept has to
be made use of- C for competence, A for attitude and R for relationship. On the second day
of the conference, Shri Umesh Kumar of Indian Postal Service was invited as the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. Shri
Kumar said that good management requires that a person should be given work as per his/her capabilities. Students were
felicitated with prizes & certificates for their presentations.

‘Alumni Meets......Abhivyakti was attended by 200 alumni members Prof. |. J. Gupta
blessed the gathering in his welcome address to the gathering towards the challenges of
forth coming time. It was full of cultural Programmes based on value aspects of Indian
culture of different regions Staff members also blessed the Alumna & Alumnus,
‘emphasizing to developed the capacities and skills for their establishment. All the alumni
shared their experience to the gathering The vote of thanks was given by Director of the
college with promise to organize such events in future also.
