The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections encourages voters to be prepared for the
historic November 2, 2010 General Election.
Candidates are running for state offices including Governor, U.S. Senate, and House
of Representatives. The first County Executive and 11 County Council District repre-
sentatives will be elected, as well as state and local judicial offices. Voters will also
decide school and municipal ballot issues.
Vote by Mail allows voters extra time to study candidates and issues at home. Vote
by Mail ballot applications are available at public libraries, the Board of Elections,
2925 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, and the Board of Elections website:
www.boe.cuyahogacounty.us or by calling the Board of Elections at 216-443-3298.
Voters should check their voting information prior to each election. Voters may con-
firm their ward, precinct, voting location, and County Council District at the Board of

LOOK UP TO CLEVELAND
For high school juniors
Look Up To Cleveland is a youth leadership development and diversity aware-
ness program for Greater Cleveland’s outstanding high school leaders.
The goal of Look Up To Cleveland is to develop students’ leadership skills while
fostering an appreciation for our Northeast Ohio community.
The program helps prepare students for responsible citizenship. Participants
benefit from interactive opportunities with business, government and
community leaders and experiential tours of some of Cleveland’s most unique
and treasured landmarks.
An intensive six-month program, the curriculum is comprised of an opening
retreat and six themed days during the school year. Students are nominated
by their schools and applicants are selected to participate from public, private,
charter and parochial schools in Cuyahoga County. The make up of each class
is designed to Include a balance of gender, race, school type, geographic loca-
tion and socio-economic status.
Students learn the dynamics of teamwork, collaboration and project planning
while getting to know a diverse peer group outside of their own high school
environment.
Participants increase their knowledge about Cleveland and see its potential
and opportunities. They become more invested in its future, as they look
ahead to their own futures es young professionals seeking a place to live and
build their lives.
Alumni number at over 1,000 to date and have gone on to be entrepreneurs,
business leaders and professionals in @ wide range of fields from health care,
law, the arts, filmmaking, nonprofit, education, the military and many others.
