XX Settimana della Lingua italiana nel Mondo (19-25 ottobre 2020)

“L'italiano tra parola e immagine: graffiti, illustrazioni, fumetti”

La Settimana della Lingua italiana nel mondo è un appuntamento che si tiene dal 2001 ogni
anno nella terza settimana di ottobre.

Ogni Settimana è dedicata a un tema diverso: la XX edizione della Settimana della

Lingua Italiana nel Mondo, in programma dal 19 al 25 ottobre 2020, avrà come
titolo “L'italiano tra parola e immagine: graffiti, illustrazioni, fumetti”. Gli eventi e le
attività previsti verteranno infatti su quelle forme espressive che valorizzano la lingua italiana
attraverso l’immagine, con un’enfasi particolare sul fumetto, la novella grafica e più in
generale la filiera dell’editoria per l’infanzia e l’adolescenza.

Illustrating the Week of the Italian Language in the World

The Week of the Italian Language in the World is an event promoted yearly since 2001 by the
cultural and diplomatic network in the third week of October. Every year it focuses on a theme
that acts as the leitmotif of a vast cultural programme to promote the diffusion of the Italian language.

Italian Between Word and Image: Graffiti, Illustrations, Comic Books is the theme for the
XX Week of the Italian Language in the World (October 19-25, 2020), a theme that can
be developed both in a socio-linguistic key and by emphasizing expressive forms such as
comics books, graphic novels and children’s books.
