English as a foreign language

Introduction

When introducing this topic on styles and strategies of language learning we

understand that when we talk about style we refer to the fact that when one
wants to learn something in this case a new language is always used a method
or a set of strategies that enable us to Meaningful learning. Is what we will
see next.
Difference between style and strategy.

Learning style is the general approach students use to learn something new
or attack a new problem.
While learning strategies are the mental processes that are activated in
order to understand new or ambiguous information or to learn or retain new
information. The defining characteristics of learning strategies is that they
are aware and should allow for better understanding, learning or retention.

The method of grammar and translation: supposedly the oldest technique this
is the most traditional technique where you learn the rules of grammar and
long lists of vocabulary. Wikipedia tells us that "the aim of this method is to
be able to read and translate the masterpieces of literature and the classics ...
very little attention is paid to pronunciation or to the communicative aspects
of language."

5. 5. Some recommendations to learn English easily.

1. Spend a little time a day

First and realistically, you have to spend every week studying English,
even if it's only a few minutes a day. My advice to learn vocabulary is very
easy.
2. Watch movies or series and listen to music in English
Find the most opportunities to listen to the language you are learning. If
you live in a country where English-speaking TV channels are seen, tune
in! If you have to do some homework, leave the TV on in the background.
Even if you do not realize it, your brain is absorbing the language.

3-Make friends with people who speak English

If you really want to learn to speak English well, you need to meet people
with whom you can speak English. This does NOT mean only with natives.
There are many people who speak English as a second language and it is
also very important to be able to learn different accents. Start an English
club with your friends where they meet to talk in English. They can help
each other and have fun practicing.
Conclusion

Language learning strategies, being specific actions, behaviors, tactics, or

techniques, facilitate the learning of the target language by the language
learner. All language learners, needless to say, use language learning
strategies in the learning process. Since the factors like age, gender,
personality, motivation, self-concept, life-experience, learning style,
excitement, anxiety, etc. affect the way in which language learners learn
the target language, it is not reasonable to support the idea that all language
learners use the same good language learning strategies or should be
trained in using and developing the same strategies to become successful
learners.
