Il dispositivo funziona con pericolosa tensione di rete 230V~. Non intervenire mai al suo interno al di fuori delle ope-
razioni descritte nel presente manuale; esiste il pericolo di una scarica elettrica.
obbligatorio eettuare il collegamento ad un impianto di alimentazione dotato di un eciente messa a terra (apparec-

Le operazioni di collegamento alla rete di distribuzione dellenergia elettrica devono essere eettuate da un installa-
tore elettrico qualicato. Vericare che frequenza e tensione della rete corrispondono alla frequenza ed alla tensione
per cui lunit predisposta, indicate sulla targhetta dei dati elettrici.
Lunit non per uso domestico solo per uso professionale.
Evitare di utilizzare lunit:
- in luoghi soggetti ad eccessiva umidit;
- in luoghi soggetti a vibrazioni, o a possibili urti;
- in luoghi a temperatura superiore ai 45C o inferiori a 2C.
Evitare che nellunit penetrino liquidi inammabili, acqua o oggetti metallici.
Non smontare e non apportare modiche allunit.
Tutti gli interventi devono essere sempre e solo eettuati da personale tecnico qualicato. Rivolgersi al pi vicino
centro di assistenza tecnica autorizzato.
Se si desidera eliminare il dispositivo denitivamente,
consegnarlo per lo smaltimento ad unistituzione locale per il riciclaggio.
Attenzione e preacauzione per linstallazione
Non guardare direttamente il fascio luminoso.
Prima di iniziare qualsiasi operazione di manutenzione o pulizia disconnettere lunit dalla rete di alimentazione.
Assicurarsi che lunit sia spenta e che la temperatura delle parti non possa provocare ustioni (attendere almeno 30
minuti dallo spegnimento).

1.2 Descrizione
ARCLED PROLIGHTS una serie di cambiacolori led di alta tecnologia con grado di protezione IP65, ideale
in tutti i contesti dilluminazione artistica per interni ed esterni. Dotati di sintesi di colore RGB, i prodotti
della linea ARCLED orono innite possibilit cromatiche (16 milioni di colori) ed estrema versatilit sia per
lilluminazione creativa di spettacoli sia come strumento nellilluminazione artistica architetturale. Partico-
larmente indicati per luoghi dintrattenimento, concerti, opere liriche, rappresentazioni teatrali, si rivelano
ideali per evidenziare particolari di monumenti, musei ed edici storici, e per mettere in luce fontane, al-
berghi e siti urbani. I proiettori ARCLED orono caratteristiche e qualit tali da soddisfare la fantasia e le
capacit espressive di lighting designer, architetti e progettisti nelle loro molteplici applicazioni.
1.3 Specifche tecniche
Cambia colori a tecnologia LED ad alto grado di protezione (IP65) per applicazioni indoor e outdoor.
Sintesi colore: generazione di colore RGB (16 milioni di colori).
Fonte luminosa: 86 LED ad altissima ecienza (27 blu da 1W, 32 verdi da 3W, 27 rossi da 1W). Nessuna
emissione di infrarossi o ultravioletti.
Lenti: alta intensit luminosa grazie allutilizzo di speciali lenti.
Angolo di proiezione: 45 (25 disponibili su richiesta).
Durata media dei LED: 100000 ore.
Intensit luminosa: 13000 Lx a 1m.
Controllo: protocollo DMX 512 tramite XLR 3 poli, 11 canali (v3.0).
Modalit Master/slave: esecuzione sincronizzata delle sequenze prememorizzate.
Dimmer: dimmer elettronico per regolazione intensit luminosa 0 -100%.

2.1 Montaggio
Il cambiacolori ARCLED345 pu essere ssato mediante viti per mezzo delle sue stae di montaggio (g.2)
oppure con supporto per fari (gancio a C) ad una traversa. Per orientare lunit allentare le viti di bloccaggio
(1); impostare linclinazione desiderata e stringere nuovamente le viti. Larea di collocazione deve avere una
stabilit suciente e supportare almeno 10 volte il peso dellunit.

3.1 Funzionamento
Per accendere ARCLED345, inserire il cavo di rete in una presa di rete (230V ~/50Hz). Lunit pu essere
comandata da un unit DMX di comando luce oppure svolgere autonomamente il suo programma. Per
spegnere, staccare la spina dalla presa di rete. Per maggiore comodit consigliabile collegare lunit con
una presa comandata da un interruttore.
3.2 Impostazioni base
Nel caso di ricezione del segnale dallunit di comando luce con protocollo DMX-512, il punto led accan-
to alla posizione C (g.3) inizier a lampeggiare;
Nel caso di ricezione del segnale dallunit master, il punto led accanto alla posizione B inizier a lampeggiare;
Se lunit master invia il segnale allunit slave, il punto accanto alla posizione A inizier a lampeggiare.
- 3 - FUNZIONI E IMPOSTAZIONI
L ARCLED345 dispone di diverse modalit operative (g.4). Attraverso il display a 3 cifre viene visualizzata
la modalit operativa ed il valore assegnato. Mediante i tasti FUNCTION e ADDRESS+ possibile eseguire le
seguenti impostazioni base dellunit:
In modalit 1(g.4), premere il tasto FUNCTION per passare dalla posizione A alla posizione B quindi alla
posizione C. Premere il tasto ADDRESS+ per impostare i valori 0 - 9.
Per entrare nella modalit 2 premere il tasto FUNCTION quando si nella modalit 1. Premere il tasto
ADDRESS+ per impostare i valori 01 - 13 relativi alla scelta dei programmi interni.
Per entrare nella modalit 3 premere il tasto FUNCTION quando si nella modalit 2. Premere il tasto AD-
DRESS+ per impostare i valori 01 - 04 per selezionare la velocit di esecuzione dei programmmi interni.
Per entrare nella modalit 4 premere il tasto FUNCTION quando si nella modalit 3. Premere il tasto AD-
DRESS+ per impostare i valori 00 oppure 01 per scegliere, rispettivamente, la modalit slave o master.
N.B.: per regolare e controllare le impostazioni, premendo per 5 secondi il tasto FUNCTION possibile:
ritornare alla modalit 1 se precedentemente si era nella modalit 1 o 2;
ritornare alla modalit 3 se precedentemente si era nella modalit 3 o 4.

3.3 Funzionamento in modalit automatica
Se alla presa DMX IN presente un segnale di comando DMX, il punto led, sul display, relativo alla posizione
C (g.3) inizia a lampeggiare. In modalit master/slave il punto led lampeggiante appare invece accanto alla
posizione B.
Per eettuare le impostazioni relative ai programmi interni, far riferimento alla g.5 riportata di seguito:
Per i programmi interni 1 - 5 possibile scegliere tra 4 modalit di velocit del ciclo; il tempo di esecuzio-
ne del ciclo variabile da circa 2 a 10 sec;
Per i programmi interni 6 - 13 possibile selezionare i seguenti eetti stroboscopici:
O Strobe;
Slow Strobe;
Medium Strobe;
Fast Strobe.

3.4 Collegamento
Si possono collegare pi unit per comandare, per mezzo dellunit principale (Master), tutte le unit se-
condarie (Slave).
1. Collegare luscita DMX OUTPUT dellunit principale con lingresso DMX INPUT della prima unit secon-
daria servendosi di un cavo XLR a 3 poli.
2. Collegare luscita DMX OUTPUT della prima unit secondaria con lingresso DMX INPUT della seconda
unit secondaria ecc.
3. Non appena le unit secondarie sono connesse e il segnale di comando dellunit principale presente,
appare un punto lampeggiante allangolo del display.
3.5 Collegamenti della linea DMX
La connessione DMX realizzata con connettori standard XLR. Utilizzare cavi schermati, 2 poli ritorti, con impe-
denza 120 e bassa capacit. Per il collegamento fare riferimento allo schema di connessione riportato di seguito:

ATTENZIONE
La parte schermata del cavo (calza) non deve mai essere collegata alla terra dellimpianto; ci comportereb-
be malfunzionamenti delle unit e dei controller. Per passaggi lunghi pu essere necessario linserimento
di un amplicatore DMX. In tal caso, sconsigliato utilizzare nei collegamenti cavo bilanciato microfonico
poich non in grado di trasmettere in modo adabile i dati di controllo DMX.
Collegare luscita DMX del controller con lingresso DMX della prima unit;
Collegare, quindi, luscita DMX con lingresso DMX della successiva unit; luscita di questultima con
lingresso di quella successiva e via dicendo nch tutte le unit sono collegate formando una catena.
Per installazioni in cui il cavo di segnale deve percorrere lunghe distanze consigliato inserire sullultima
unit una terminazione DMX.
3.6 Costruzione del terminatore DMX
La terminazione evita la probabilit che il segnale DMX512, una volta raggiunta la ne della linea stessa venga
riesso indietro lungo il cavo, provocando, in certe condizioni e lunghezze, la sua sovrapposizione al segnale origi-
nale e la sua cancellazione. La terminazione devessere eettuata, sullultima unit della catena, con connettori XLR
a 5 pin o 3 pin, saldando una resistenza di 120 (minimo 1/4W) tra i terminali 2 e 3, cos come indicato in gura.

Al canale 10 presente la funzione record che permette di memorizzare unimpostazione di colore RGB.
Pertanto, disporre lunit secondo i seguenti valori DMX:
Canale 1 = 255
Canale 2 = da 0 a 255 per selezionare la tonalit desiderata.
Canale 3 = da 0 a 255 per selezionare la tonalit desiderata.
Canale 4 = da 0 a 255 per selezionare la tonalit desiderata.
Canali da 5 a 10 = 0
Intervenire sui valori dei canali 2,3,4. Una volta raggiunto il colore desiderato, per memorizzarlo, tenere
premuto i tasti Function e Address+ per circa 15 secondi. Tale colore sar disponibile al canale 10 ai valori
DMX: 253, 254 o 255.

3.8 Tabella canali DMX (funzionamento a 10 canali)
3.7 Impostazione dellindirizzo di start e canali DMX
Per poter comandare ARCLED345 con ununit di comando, occorre impostare lindirizzo di start DMX per
il primo canale DMX. Se, per esempio, sullunit di comando previsto lindirizzo 17, si deve impostare
sullARCLED345 lindirizzo di start 17. Le altre funzioni dellunit sono quindi assegnate automaticamente
ai 9 canali successivi (in questo esempio 18 - 26). Come prossimo indirizzo di start possibile per lunit DMX
successiva, si potrebbe quindi prendere nel nostro esempio lindirizzo 27.
Mediante i tasti FUNCTION e ADDRESS+ possibile impostare il valore dellindirizzo. Non appena si ricevo-
no i segnali dallunit di comando DMX, il display indica lindirizzo di start e lunit cambiacolori pu quindi
essere comandata dallunit di comando DMX.

4.1 Pulizia sistema ottico e manutenzione
Durante gli interventi, assicurarsi che larea sotto il luogo di installazione sia libera da personale non qualicato.
Spegnere lunit, scollegare il cavo di alimentazione ed aspettare nch lunit non sia rareddata.
Tutte le viti utilizzate per linstallazione dellunit e le sue parti dovrebbero essere assicurate saldamente
e non dovrebbero essere corrose.
Alloggiamenti, elementi di ssaggio e di installazione (sotto, truss, sospensioni) dovrebbero essere
totalmente esenti da qualsiasi deformazione.
Quando una lente ottica visibilmente danneggiata a causa di rotture o gra profondi, deve essere sostituita.
I cavi di alimentazione devono essere in condizione impeccabile e dovrebbero essere sostituiti immedia-
tamente nel momento in cui anche un piccolo problema viene rilevato.
Al ne di proteggere lunit da surriscaldamento, le ventole di rareddamento (e nel caso) le aperture di
ventilazione, devono essere pulite mensilmente.
Linterno del dispositivo deve essere pulito ogni anno utilizzando un aspirapolvere o un getto daria.
Si dovrebbe procedere, ad intervalli regolari, alla pulizia della lente per asportare polvere, fumo e altre par-
ticelle. Solo cos, la luce pu essere irradiata con la luminosit massima. Per la pulizia usare un panno morbi-
do, pulito e un detergente per vetri come si trovano in commercio. Quindi asciugare le parti delicatamente.
Attenzione: consigliamo che la pulizia interna sia eseguita da personale qualicato!

WARNING! Before carrying out any operations with the unit, carefully read this instruction
manual and keep it with cure for future reference. It contains important information about the
installation, usage and maintenance of the unit.
SAFETY
General instructions
The products referred to in this manual conform to the European Community Directives and are therefore marked with .
The unit is supplied with hazardous network voltage (230V~). Leave servicing to skilled personnel only. Never make
any modications on the unit not described in this instruction manual, otherwise you will risk an electric shock.
Connection must be made to a power supply system tted with ecient earthing (Class I appliance according to
standard EN 60598-1). It is, moreover, recommended to protect the supply lines of the units from indirect contact and/
or shorting to earth by using appropriately sized residual current devices.
The connection to the main network of electric distribution must be carried out by a qualied electrical installer. Check that
the main frequency and voltage correspond to those for which the unit is designed as given on the electrical data label.
This unit is not for home use, only professional applications.
Never use the xture under the following conditions:
- in places subject to excessive humidity;
- in places subject to vibrations or bumps;
- in places with a temperature of over 45C or less than 2C.
Make certain that no inammable liquids, water or metal objects enter the xture.
Do not dismantle or modify the xture.
All work must always be carried out by qualied technical personnel. Contact the nearest sales point for an inspection
or contact the manufacturer directly.
If the unit is to be put out of operation denitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment.
Warnings and installation precautions
Never look directly at the light beam.
Before starting any maintenance work or cleaning of the unit, cut o power from the main supply.
Make certain that the xture is o and the temperature of the components cannot cause burns (wait at least 30 min-
utes after switching o).
Always additionally secure the projector with the safety rope. When carrying out any work, always comply scrupulously
with all the regulations (particularly regarding safety) currently in force in the country in which the xtures being used.
Avoid blocking air intakes and outputs.
The unit needs to be positioned so that the objects hit by the beam of light are at least 1,5 m from the unit.

The goods are sold ex works and always travel at the risk and danger of the distributor. Eventual damage will have to be
claimed to the freight forwarder. Any claim for broken packs will have to be forwarded within 8 days from the reception

available on your guarantee certicate. For all purposes, the validity of the guarantee is endorsed solely on presentation
of the guarantee certicate. Music & Lights will verify the validity of the claim through examination of the defect in rela-
tion to proper use and the actual validity of the guarantee. Music & Lights will eventually provide replacement or repair of
the products declining, however, any obligation of compensation for direct or indirect damage resulting from faultiness.

1.2 Description
PROLIGHTS ARCLED is a series of high-tech IP65 colorchangers, ideal for all indoor and outdoor artistic lighting
applications. Based on RGB color mixing system, ARCLED of products oer an unlimited chromatic possibili-
ties (up to 16 millions colors) and a high versatility for creative and spectacular entertainment lighting eects
as well as for artistic architectural lighting applications. Aimed to entertainment-related locations, concerts,
TV shows, opera and theatrical events, ARCLED xtures are eective tools to highlite key sites such as monu-
ments, museums, fountains, historical buildings. Quality and features of ARCLED projectors allow lighting
designers, architects and decorators to express their creative imagination in dierent lighting environments.

2.1 Mounting
The ARCLED345 can be xed (as shown below) using the mounting bracket screws or using the dedicated
lighting support if mounted on a crossbeam. To adjust its inclination, its necessary to tighten down the
screws. Be sure that the mounting place is enough stable and strong before xing it.

ARCLED 345 allows several operating modes (g. 4). By the 3 digits display the ARCLED shows the current
operating mode and the assigned value. By using the FUNCTION button (5) and ADDRESS+ button (6) it is
possible to set-up the following primary settings:
MODE1 (g.4): press the FUNCTION button to change the cursor from A position to B position and C posi-
tion. Press the ADDRESS+ button to set the 0 - 9 values on the selected position.
MODE2: press the FUNCTION button again from the MODE1. Press the ADDRESS+ button to set 01 - 13
values relative to the desired internal programs.
MODE3: press the FUNCTION button again from the MODE2. Press the ADDRESS+ button to set 01 - 04
values relative to the parameters of internal programs.
MODE4: press the FUNCTION button again from the MODE3. Press the ADDRESS+ button to set 00 for
SLAVE mode or 01 for MASTER mode.
Please note: for an easy access setting, by holding for 5 seconds the FUNCTION button (5) is possible to:
return to MODE1 from MODE1 or MODE2;
return to MODE3 from MODE3 or MODE4.
3.1 Operation
Connect the supplied main cable to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz). Then the unit is ready for operation and can be
operated via a DMX controller or independently displays its show programme in succession. To switch o,
disconnect the main plug from the socket. For a more convenient operation it is recommend to connect the
unit to a socket which can be switched on and o via a light switch.
3.2 Set-up
If the unit receives a DMX signal a small dot will ash on C position (g.3);
When the unit receives a signal from a master unit, a small dot will ash on B position;
If the master unit send a signal to slave unit, a small dot will ash on A position.

3.3 Operation without DMX controller
If a control signal is present on the DMX IN, a small dot on the C position (g.3) will start to ash. In master/
slave modes, the small dot appears on B position.
To set-up the internal programs, please refer to g.5 as follows:
In build-in programs 1 - 5, mode 4 is to adjust the cycle speed. The cycle is about 2 sec to10 sec;
In build-in programs 6 - 13, mode 4 is to set the strobe:
O Strobe;

3.4 Linking
Several units may be interconnected in order to control all further slave units via the master unit.
1. Connect the DMX OUT of the master unit via a 3-pole XLR cable to the DMX IN of the rst slave unit.
2. Connect the DMX OUTPUT of the rst slave unit to the DMX INPUT of the second slave unit, etc. until all
units are connected in a chain.
3. Once the slave units receive the control signals of the master unit, the indicating led of the slave units
will shortly light up.
3.5 Connection of the DMX line
DMX connection employs standard XLR connectors. Use shielded pair-twisted cables with 120 impedance
and low capacity. The following diagram shows the connection mode:

ATTENTION
The screened parts of the cable (sleeve) must never be connected to the systems earth, as this would cause
faulty xture and controller operation. Over long runs can be necessary to insert a DMX level matching am-
plier. For those connections the use of balanced microphone cable is not recommended because it cannot
transmit control DMX data reliably.
Connect the controller DMX input to the DMX output of the rst unit.
Connect the DMX output to the DMX input of the following unit. Connect again the output to the input
of the following unit until all the units are connected in chain.
When the signal cable has to run longer distance is recommended to insert a DMX termination on the
last unit.
3.6 Construction of the DMX termination
The termination avoids the risk of DMX 512 signals being reected back along the cable when they reaches
the end of the line: under certain conditions and with certain cable lengths, this could cause them to cancel
the original signals. The termination is prepared by soldering a 120 1/4 W resistor between pins 2 and 3 of
the 5-pin male XLR connector.

On Channel 10, the unit is provided with record function that allows to store an additional RGB color
setting. Set up the unit as following DMX values:
Channel 1 = 255
Channel 2 = 0 to 255 to adjust the value according to desidered color
Channel 3 = 0 to 255 to adjust the value according to desidered color
Channel 4 = 0 to 255 to adjust the value according to desidered color
Channels 5 to 10 = 0
Adjust the values on the channels 2,3 and 4. Once reached the desidered color, to store it, press and hold
Function and Address+ buttons for about 15 seconds. The color will be available on channel 10 at the
values: 253, 254, 255.

3.8 DMX control (10 channels operation)
3.7 Adjusting the start address and the number of DMX channels
For operating the ARCLED345 with a light controller, adjust the DMX start address for the rst DMX channel.
If e. g. on the controller the address 17, is provided for controlling the unit, adjust the start address 17 on
the ARCLE345. Then the other functions of the unit are automatically assigned to the following 9 channels
(in this example 18 to 26). As the next possible start address for the following DMX-controlled unit, the ad-
dress 27 could be used for this example. By using FUNCTION and ADDRESS+ buttons it is possible to set up
the start address. Once the unit receives a signal for the control unit, the display will show the current start
address value.

4.1 Cleaning the unit and maintenance
Make sure the area below the installation place is free from unwanted persons during set-up.
Switch o the unit, unplug the main cable and wait until the unit has cooled down.
All screws used for installing the device and any of its parts should be tightly fastened and should not be corroded.
Housings, xations and installation spots (ceiling, trusses, suspensions) should be totally free from any deformation.
When the lens is visibly damaged due to cracks or deep scratches, it must be replaced.
The main cables must be in impeccable condition and should be replaced immediately even when a
small problem is detected.
In order to protect the device from overheating the cooling fans (if any), and ventilation openings should
be cleaned monthly.
The interior of the device should be cleaned annually using a vacuum cleaner or air-jet.
It is recommended to clean the plastic panel of the unit at regular intervals, from impurities caused by
dust, smoke, or other particles to ensure that the light is radiated at maximum brightness. For cleaning,
disconnect the main plug from the socket. Use a soft, clean cloth moistened with a mild detergent. Then
carefully wipe the plastic pane dry. For cleaning other housing parts use only a soft, clean cloth. Never
use a liquid, it might penetrate the unit and cause damage to it.
Warning: we strongly recommend internal cleaning to be carried out by qualied personnel!
