Il pittore Simon Borst dipinge en plein air, la natura è il mio
studio. Fin dal 1994 ho scolpito e modellato ad Amsterdam. Dal
1997 ho fatto la scelta di concentrarmi su disegno e pittura.
Gradualmente si è sviluppato il mio modo di dipingere en
plein air. Penso che mi possiate definire un autodidatta. Come
da tradizione impressionista, sono a mio agio nella natura.
Cerco di trovare il mio stile personale tra gli elementi come la
luce, la struttura spaziale e gli oggetti. Colorato, figurativo e
leggermente astratto. Lavori di grandi o piccole dimensioni in
qualunque ambito. Con grande coraggio e senso dell’opera
cerco di aggiungere qualcosa al lavoro fatto sin qui. Poiché
sono impegnato nell’organizzare progetti esteri come il
dfba2009 cerco di guardare al di là dei confini.
Painter Simon Borst paints plain-air, nature is my studio. Since
1994 I have been sculpting and modeling in Amsterdam. From
1997 I have made the choice to focus on drawing and painting.
Gradually the plain-air painting has developed itself. I think
you can call me a self-taught artist. In the tradition of the
impressionists, I feel good in nature. Among elements such as
light, spatial structures and objects I am trying to find my own
style. Colorful, figurative and light-abstract. Small size or big
sized work on any location. With great courage and sense of
craft I try to add something to the work so far made. Because I
am involved in organizing foreign projects such as the
dfba2009 I try to look across the borders.

Dipinge con la pietre e usa tessere di ceramica, vetro, smaltate,
in oro e molti altri materiali.
Per lei, l’arte del mosaico è un’esplosione di colore. Attraverso la
sua arte vuole rendere le persone felici e i luoghi in cui vivono
più colorati: amare la vita è il suo approccio alla vita.
Nonostante il suo lavoro sembri così spensierato, spesso ha un
forte significato. Unisci pezzo dopo pezzo con precisione e
pazienza. Naturalezza è la parola chiave per il modo in cui il
suo lavoro prende forma. Nel passato ha appreso abilità che
usa tuttora nella sue creazioni: lavorare con smalto, oro,
argento e scultura. Ecco perché il suo lavoro è unico.
Monique è specializzata nel realizzare mosaici per le pietre

She paints with stones and uses ceramic tiles, glass, smalti,
gold and many other materials.
The mosaic art she makes is an explosion of colors. Through
her art she wants to make people happy and surroundings
more colorful: enjoy living that is her attitude to life.
Although her work looks very lighthearted it often has a
stronger meaning. Precisely and patiently she lays piece on to
piece. Naturally that is how her work takes shape.
The skill she learned in the past such as working with enamel,
gold, silver and sculpture she uses in her work today.
That is why her work is unique.
Monique is specialized in working with mosaic on tombstones.
They are all made with love for a precious memory.
To take initiative to start and organizes the dFBa 2009 is an
enrichment of her view of art.

I miei dipinti sono il prodotto di ciò che vedo intorno a me. Non
mi concentro mai su una cosa in particolare, ma lascio che il
quadro cresca sotto le mie mani. Lavoro soprattutto su colori,
linee e consistenza. Descriverei il mio lavoro come “lirico-
astratto”. Spesso esco ed entro in contatto con la natura, in
ogni stagione. Riconosco questo elemento nei miei dipinti,
specialmente nelle varie forme naturali e strutture che mi
affascinano molto, ad esempio le forme e le linee della
corteccia del tronco di un albero o la struttura di un muro in
pietra. I colori che uso sono il riflesso dei miei sentimenti.
Quando stai nella natura le cose che osservi a volte ti
provocano un sentimento speciale - come se fossi l’unica
persona in grado di vederle. L’alba per esempio- si può essere
sorpresi da ciò che si vede. Forme e colori solo per me, un
sentimento che ispira i miei dipinti.
Ho frequentato il Master in Arte (Education) all’Accademia di
Tilburg, nei Paesi Bassi.
Lavoro nel mio studio a Maastricht, che fa parte di una rete di
studi del gruppo SAM - Stichting Ateliers Maastricht.
My paintings are the product of the things I see around me.
I never focus particularly on one thing, but let the painting
grow under my hands. I work mainly with colour, line and
texture. I would describe my work as ‘lyrical-abstract’.
I often go out to be in the nature, in every season. I recognize
this in my paintings, especially in the various organic forms
and structures which appeal to me very much, such as the
shape and lined bark of a tree trunk or the structure of a stone
wall. The colours that I use are reflections of my feelings. When
you are in nature the things you see sometimes give you a very
special feeling - as if I am the only person to see it.
For example a sunrise - you can be amazed by what you see,
forms and colours just for me, a feeling which inspires my
paintings.
I studied for my Master of Arts (Education) in Handcrafts at the
Academy in Tilburg, the Netherlands.
I work in my studio in Maastricht., part of a network of studios
within the group SAM - Stichting Ateliers Maastricht.

Riet Lacroix

Riet Lacroix-Lintzen è un artista, nato nel 1952 che vive nei
dintorni di Maastricht, nei Paesi Bassi.
Dopo essersi diplomato in educazione grafica e studi tessili, ha
frequentato diversi corsi creativi sulle acqueforti, il silk
screening, scultura con l’argilla e dipinto. Quest’ultimo stile ha
colto il suo interesse fino a divenire la sua principale passione.
I primi lavori di Riet consistevano in acquerelli floreali. Oggi ha
una sincera preferenza per la pittura ad olio, in combinazione
con altri materiali, come il gesso e la pasta modellante.
Questa tecnica le offre una miriade di opportunità di
espressione. Riet trova ispirazione nell’ambiente, e nei viaggi
culturali. I suoi soggetti preferiti: persone, uccelli e fiori,
presentati con colori intensi. Riet crede che una buona opera
d’arte può continuare a catturare l’attenzione di chi la osserva.
Di conseguenza, il suo lavoro di solito consiste in più strati
grafici. In questo modo, non tutto è rivelato all’osservatore al
primo sguardo. Ecco perché il lavoro di Riet è un vero e proprio
viaggio nella fantasia dell’osservatore.
Riet Lacroix-Lintzen is an artist, born in 1952 and living in the
surroundings of Maastricht, the Netherlands. After obtaining a
degree in graphical education and textile studies, she
completed several creative courses in etchings, silk-screening,
clay modeling, and painting. The latter has grown to be her
passion. Riet’s initial works consisted of floral aquarelles.
Nowadays, she has an outspoken preference for using oil-
based paint in combination with other materials, such as chalk
and modeling pasta. This technique offers a myriad of
opportunities to express herself. Riet finds inspiration in her
environment, and cultural travels. Her favorite subjects, people,
birds, and flowers, are presented with rich colors. Riet believes
that good artwork should continue to captivate the viewer’s
attention. Accordingly, her works typically consist of multiple
graphical layers. This way, not everything is revealed to the
viewer at first sight. Accordingly, Riet’s work is a true voyage
into the viewer’s fantasy.

Loes van der Holst
Materiali Misti - Mixed Media
(1956) nata a Noordwijk, nei Paesi Bassi, ha scelto di non avere
un’educazione artistica convenzionale. Ha studiato, invece,
pedagogia e si è dedicato a lavorare con i bambini. Ha anche
lavorato nel catering e come system manager, ma la sua
vocazione artistica non voleva lasciarla in pace. Ha partecipato
a corsi e laboratori che spaziano dall’arte alla fotografia al
teatro.
Nel 1998 ha fatto una decisa scelta verso l’arte. Ha scritto,
illustrato e pubblicato storie natalizie per bambini. Ha iniziato
a insegnare nei laboratori per adulti e ragazzi, per stimolare il
loro senso dell’esplorazione delle arti. Ha inoltre disegnato un
premio, assegnato annualmente, per i più famosi abitanti di
Delft. Ha innumerevoli mostre al suo attivo nella regione ed è
stata invitata a partecipare al Leipzig Palm Art Awards 2009. Il
suo lavoro è un mix di materiali e soggetti diversi così come è
varia la vita. Ama combinare le immagini in una storia poetica.
(1956) born in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, choose not to do an
official art education. Instead she studied pedagogic and
worked with children. She also worked in catering and as a
system manager but her artistic side kept nagging. She
participated in courses and workshops ranging from art to
photography and theatre.
In 1998 she made a definite choice for the arts. She wrote,
illustrated and published a children’s Christmas story book.
She started teaching workshops to children and adults, to
stimulate their own exploration of the arts. She designed a
statue for the most “well known” resident of Delft, which is
awarded annually. She has countless exhibitions in the region
and has been invited to participate in the Leipzig Palm Art
Awards 2009. Her work is truly mixed media and her topics
are as diverse as life itself. She loves combining images into a
poetic story.

Joop van der Linden
Arte Su Vetro - Glass Art
Artista, inventore e docente universitario. Nato a Rotterdam,
Paesi Bassi.
Joop è stato un accademico e un lettore universitario per un
decennio nel settore del business e Information and
Communication Technology. E’ stato a capo di un buon numero
di progetti ICT, e ha molte pubblicazioni su riviste olandesi e
statunitensi di business. Insegna arte su vetro e ritratto in più
scuole d’arte. E’ titolare di diversi brevetti e ha ideato oggetti
d’arte in vetro dipinti col fuoco, gioielleria e elementi decorativi
in ferro battuto. Ritratti delle sue mani sono appesi ai muri di
moltissimi salotti. Si trovano in gesso nero, gesso naturale
rosso, gesso bianco, matita, carbone naturale e punta metallica
in argento. I ritratti sono il riflesso dell’esperienza sociale e
psicologica dei “Sitters”, i modelli. La maggior parte li conosce
molto bene. La maggioranza dei disegni sono stati creati a
scuola, dove l’artista è in mezzo ai suoi allievi tutto il giorno. In
questo mondo i suoi disegni dimostrano come il tema
principale siano le esperienze personali e spesso commoventi
dei modelli stessi. In tal senso, un ritratto è un evento sociale e
un messaggio che viene dal cuore. I disegni sono pensati per
coloro che amano e apprezzano il potenziale artistico della
semplice matita.
Artist, inventor and lecturer. Born in Rotterdam The Netherlands.
Joop was an academy and university lecturer for a decade in
business and ICT. He conducted a great number of ICT
projects and he wrote several publications in Dutch and
American business magazines. At several art schools, he
teaches glass art and the art of drawing portraits. He owns
several patents and designed fire painted glass art, jewelry and
decorative wrought iron objects. Portraits of his hand are
hanging on the walls of numerous of living rooms. In black
chalk, red natural chalk, white chalk, pencil, charcoal and
silverpoint. The portraits are reflections of the social and
psychological experience of the “Sitters”. Most of them are
well known by him. The majority of his drawings are created at
schools where he is surrounded by pupils all day. In this world
the drawings appear while very personal and sometimes
harrowing experiences of the sitters are the topic. In this way,
a portrait drawing is a social event and a message from the
heart. The drawings are intended for those who enjoy and
appreciate the artistic power of a simple pencil.

Rita Bakhuijsen

Nata ad Amsterdam (1950), vive ad Alphen aan den Rijn, tra
Amsterdam e L’Aja. Accademia di Arte Leiden e Harleem. Rita
Bakhuijsen è un’artista che esprime i suoi sentimenti con
colori, movimenti, e forme su tela e su tavola. Il suo strumento
principale sono le dita, che le permettono di approfondire il
contatto con la tela. La sua volontà è scappare da questo
mondo veloce e difficile in cui viviamo, dipingendo cose
ispirate dall’emozione, dai colori della natura e da eventi
coinvolgenti. Guarda sempre al mondo intorno a lei con occhi
di artista, rimanendo sorpresa ogni volta. Dipingere è divenuto
essenziale per Rita, un modo di vivere. Ha iniziato a esporre i
suoi lavori nel 2007 (Rembrandt Festival) e ha ricevuto il primo
premio per studenti “De Groene Hart Kunstprijs”, lo stesso
anno. Il fine primo dei suoi dipinti è ricercare la bellezza
sotterranea.
Born in Amsterdam (1950), she lives in Alphen aan den Rijn, a
city between Amsterdam and The Hague. Academy of Art
Leiden and Haarlem. Rita Bakhuijsen is an artist who expresses
her feeling with colours, motion and forms on canvas and
board. Her main tools are her fingers which allow her to be
more in touch with the canvas. She wants to escape this fast,
hard world we live in, by painting things which are inspired on
her emotions, the colours of nature and impressing events.
She’s always looking at the world around her with artists’ eyes,
getting surprised time after time. Painting has become
essential for Rita, a way of living. She started to exhibit her
works in 2007 (Rembrandt Festival) and received the first prize
“De Groene Hart Kunstprijs”for students, the same year. The
primary goal of her painting is to search for the underlying
beauty.

Cosa significa per me disegnare e dipingere? Visualizzare la
mia immaginazione. Di conseguenza, creo il mio personale
mondo, cercando di ottenere, nel mio lavoro, un atmosfera “da
fiaba”.
Sentimenti, storie, teatro, opera, tutto funziona da ispirazione.
E’ uno sviluppo senza fine che prende sentieri inaspettati.
Sono stata formata come designer di moda. Ma più tardi ho
deciso che il disegno e la pittura mi calzavano meglio. Quindi
ho deciso di formarmi da sola. Per molti anni ho studiato
ritraendo i modelli con Humphrey Bennett alla Gooische
Academie a Laren.
Ho esposto in molte nazioni europee e sono stata premiata
con:

Drawing and painting means to me: visualizing my
imagination. I thereby create my own world, and try to obtain
a “fairy-like” atmosphere in my work.
Feelings, stories, theatre, operas, they all serve as an inspiration.
It is a non-stop development which goes in unexpected ways.
I was educated as a fashion designer. But later on I decided
that drawing and painting suited me more. So I did a lot of self
education. For many years now I do model studies with
Humphrey Bennett at The Gooische Academie in Laren.

Coloro che amano essere stupiti sono nel posto giusto. Simon è
in perenne sperimentazione, e il limite è il cielo. Ogni opera
d’arte è unica ma, all’interno, potete sempre riconoscere la sua
firma. Simon è un po’ “schizofrenico”, una parte del suo lavoro
è molto stilizzata e l’altra parte sembra esplodere. La sua arma
migliore è la sua paletta di colori e la sua fonte d’ispirazione
più importante è la natura e il modo in cui gli espressionisti e
gli impressionisti hanno guardato al mondo. Per almeno un
decennio ha studiato e lavorato in uno studio lungo uno dei
più famosi canali di Amsterdam, il ‘ Jordaan’. Il proprietario era
l’illustre Anton Assies, che ogni giorno ospitava artisti e
studenti nel suo studio e li viziava con una grande varietà di
modelli: travestiti, ballerini, modelli di nudo, suonatori di
violino, ecc. In questo ambiente Simon è cresciuto ed è
divenuto il pittore che è ora. Oggi, Simon lavora solitamente
nel suo studio, a casa.

Those who love to be surprised are at the right address. Simon
is always experimenting and the sky is the limit. Every artwork
is unique but you always recognize his signature in it. Simon is
a bit ‘schizophrenic’ a part of his work is very stylized and the
other part looks very explosive. His most important weapon is
his colour pallet and his most important source of inspiration
is nature and the way the ex- and impressionists looked at our
world. For almost a decennium he studied and worked at a
painter’s studio along one of the famous Amsterdam canals in
the ‘ Jordaan’. Owner was the illustrious Anton Assies, who
welcomed artists and students in his studio every day and
spoiled them with a wide and strange variety of models:
transvestites, ballet dancers, nudes, violin players etc. In this
environment Simon flourished and it made him the painter he
now is. Nowadays Simon usually works in his own studio at
home.

Henk Bloemhof

(1945, Weststellingwerf, Paesi Bassi) ha frequentato il liceo
pubblico a Heerenveen e lavorato per molti anni come
professore di olandese a Groningen. Dopo aver lasciato
l’insegnamento ha avuto abbastanza tempo per la sua vera
passione : l’arte del dipinto. Ha studiato ritratto e figura intera.
Si è specializzato in disegni surrealistici con la matita
(colorata). Più tardi è passato a colori acrilici e ad olio.
Henk crea nei suoi dipinti un mondo di fantasia, che consiste
solo di forme naturali: forme di piante, animali e esseri umani
e tutti le fusioni e mescolanze possibili e impossibili di questi
soggetti. Creature ibride come sirene, donne-uccello, uomini-
scimmia ecc. giocano spesso un ruolo importante nei suoi
dipinti. Elementi erotici e simbolici possono essere ritrovati nei
suoi “Fantasmi Freudiani” (“Freudian phantasms”).
Un tema ulteriore del suo lavoro è il fascino per le figure
femminili della mitologia classica come Circe, Leda, Gea e
Pomona.
(1945, Weststellingwerf, The Netherlands) visited the Public
Lyceum in Heerenveen and worked several years as a teacher in
Dutch language in Groningen. After leaving his teaching
profession he had enough time for his real passion: the art of
painting. He studied portrait- and model-painting. He
specialized in surrealistic drawings with (color)pencil. Later on
he switched to acryl and oil colors.
Henk creates in his paintings a fictive world, consisting of just
organic forms: forms of plants, animals and human beings and
all possible and impossible mixtures and transformations of
them. Hybrid creatures as mermaids, sirens, ape-men etc. often
play a role in his paintings. Erotic and symbolic elements can
be found in his “Freudian phantasms”.
Another theme in his artwork is his fascination for female
figures from the classic mythology such as Circe, Leda, Gaia
and Pomona.

Use of bright colours, linear construction, and abstract-surreal
orientation are some terms we can use to describe Trudy
Bersma’s work. Spontaneity and fun can be felt immediately
when looking at her work. She makes her oil paintings in very
carefully built-up layers, causing her colourspaces-although
set up in lines and spaces- to be deep and radiant. In ceramics-
vases as well as reliefs- again you see her moulding and use of
colour. For her plastics she endlessly looks for small- seemingly
random- objects and shapes and she assembles them to
abstract animal,-and human figures. Here she also uses the
same array of colours she uses in her paintings and ceramics.
Trudy Bersma regularly exposes her work in The Netherlands,
Belgium, United States of America, France, Italy, Spain and

Emilie completed her art studies in Boston, USA in 1986. Since
then she has exhibited in galleries and expositions
internationally and has several of her pieces on public display
and in corporate settings. Currently she is extending her scope
through monumental landscape art. A large bronze sculpture

Her oil paintings show a reality which we not always see in
such a way or accept. The reality is, as contrasted with glossy
advertisements, that we human are imperfect, vulnerable and
transient. To her, the skin is a unique subject to paint because
it shows us unconcealed all the incompleteness’s and
confronts us with our transience. The skin is a thin layer
between the inner- and outside of our body and without it we
can’t survive. That is why the skin symbolizes to her the thin
dividing line between life and death.

Pittrice olandese, scrittrice e psicoterapista.
Dopo aver viaggiato in Turchia e Nord Africa per un anno,
Ylil ha iniziato a dipingere spontaneamente nel 1993.
Dal 1995 è stata invitata ogni anno a esporre i suoi lavori in
gallerie e musei sia nei Paesi Bassi che in Francia.
La mia dichiarazione d’arte: in un dato spazio/tempo un
soggetto ( pesci, case, alberi, scarpette danzanti e orme) viene
esplorato, poi abbandonato al fine di manifestare se stesso, più
tardi, in un nuovo percorso creativo. Quiete, movimento e
ripetizione giocano un ruolo importante nel lavoro di Ylil , così
come il paradosso della solitudine all’interno della vita in
comunità.
I dipinti di Ylil si muovono a spirale: talvolta più figurativi, poi
di nuovo astratti e molto spesso sono al limite di entrambi gli
stili. Da qui, la sua stessa descrizione: figurazione libera.

Dutch painter, writer and psychotherapist.
After travelling in Turkey and Northern Africa during a year,
Ylil started painting spontaneously in 1993.
Since 1995 she has been invited every year to expose her work
in gallery and museum, both in The Netherlands and in France.
Art statement: In a given space of time a subject (fishes,
houses, trees, dancing shoes and footprints) is explored,
abandoned again, in order to subsequently manifest itself in a
new making up. Stillness, movement and repetition play an
important role in Ylil’s work, and the paradox of being alone
and being in community.
Ylil’s paintings move spirally: at times she returns to more
figurative, then again to abstract and very often she is on the
borderline of both. Hence her description: free figuration.

Quando avevo 7 o 8 anni, iniziai a interessarmi alle forme e ai
colori. Andai con i miei genitori in visita dal cugino di mio
padre. Era un autentico pittore, scultore e edonista. Entrai in
questo palazzo signorile con un giardino immenso. Capii cosa
l’arte poteva fare per una persona. Apprezzare l’arte che
sgorgava dalle arterie della casa fu una fonte di ispirazione.
Tre anni fa mi sono concessa una sfida con tele, pennelli e
spatole. Da allora, ho dipinto. Dipingo, disegno, modello con
audacia e coraggio. La mia fame non è saziabile. Spero che la
gente sia colpita dal mio lavoro e che ami l’esperienza che
hanno vissuto.
Senza una formazione canonica, dipingo a modo mio e,
oltretutto, seguo i miei sentimenti. Questo è il mio stile, senza
legami con leggi e regole.
Voglio dedicare tutto il mio lavoro al mio amato marito Klaas,
a Eva e Emma.
When I was 7 or 8, I became interested in shape and colour.
I went with my parents to my father’s cousin’s house. He was
genuine painter, sculptor and hedonist. I walked through this
stately building with a huge garden. I felt what art could do to
a person. Enjoying the art flowing through the great arteries
of the house became a source of inspiration.
3 Years ago, I allowed myself to be challenged by canvas, brush
and knife. I have painted ever since.
I colour, I shape, have daring and courage. My hunger is
insatiable. I hope people will be affected by my work and also
enjoy the experience.
With no formal training, I do it my way and, above all, follow
my feelings. This is my style, not bound by laws or rules.
I want to dedicate all my work to my dear husband Klaas, Eva
and Emma.

Toos Bonten was born in Baexem in the Netherlands. She

Wim Zorn
Pittura In Rilievo - Relief Paintings
Wim Zorn è stato largamente ispirato, per le sue creazioni
astratte, nel 2007, quando abitava nella città italiana di Lucca.

Nato nei Paesi Bassi, i suoi antenati e quelli di Anders Zorn (un

Üttingen, Germania. Sembra probabile ci sia una qualche
relazione.
Wim Zorn found much inspiration for his abstract work in
2007 when he stayed in the city of Lucca in Italy. In the late
afternoon he saw how beautiful the weathered old house-
fronts were in the mellow twilight.
In ensuing paintings Zorn leaves the faithful rendering behind
and uses his impressions as a starting point for a series of
abstract paintings in which he tries out surface, line and
colour in varies combinations.
Freedom that brought painter Zorn after years of figuration to
his own reality: the abstract.

Delft- who opened an exhibition for Zorn in The Hague in The

Born in the Netherlands, his ancestors and those of Anders
Zorn (a famous Swedish painter 1860-1920) both lived in
Üttingen Germany. It seems likely that there is some
relationship.

sculptures from fired clay. Her theme is ‘power’: the power of
the human mind and the power of the spirit of nature. She

public buildings; they now take pride of place in living rooms,
offices, schools, gardens, public spaces and cemeteries, too.

Dopo la scuola superiore, non ha accettato la borsa di studio
per l’Accademia d’Arte ma ha scelto un lavoro di decoratore in
un centro commerciale. Nel frattempo ha insegnato disegno
alle superiori.
Fred viene ingaggiato da una compagnia pubblicitaria e inizia
una nuova carriera come art director, ma rimane fedele
all’amore per la pittura e si è unito a un gruppo di artisti, gli
Indigo. Il gruppo è composto da artisti professionisti e di fama
provenienti dalla zona orientale dell’Olanda. Con il gruppo ha

department store. Besides he taught drawing at a high school.
Fred was approached by an advertising agency and started a
new career as an art director, but he remained true to painting
and he joined a group of artists, called Indigo. This group
consisted of professional, well-known artists from the east
part of the Netherlands. This resulted in numerous of
exhibitions home and abroad.
After a double life as an art director and an artist, he decided
to move on as a professional artist.

Prima di incontrare Annemieke Blokhorst (1956) desideriamo
avvisarvi che sarete, o almeno le vostre mani saranno, ricoperte
di pittura... L’artista dipinge per lo più con le dita e raggiunge
uno stato di trance mentre crea i suoi dipinti unici al mondo.
Annemieke si risveglia dal trance solitamente quando ha fame
o sete e NON SI RENDE PROPRIO CONTO DEL TEMPO CHE PASSA.
E’ in quel momento che scopre ciò che ha davvero dipinto.
Benché Annemieke desiderasse frequentare la ‘Hollands’
School of Arts’, non ha potuto,a causa delle sue ristrettezze
finanziarie di allora. Nonostante abbia iniziato una carriera
managerIALE non ha mai smesso di dipingere e ha seguito
molti corsi per migliorare e mettere alla prova le sue abilità
artistiche. Qualche anno fa ha deciso di dare una svolta alla
sua vita, scegliendo finalmente di FARE L’artista. Da allora ha
esposto in un gran numero di mostre e molti dei suoi quadri
sono ora di proprietà di privati appassionati.

Before meeting Annemieke Blokhorst (1956) we would like to
warn you, or else your hands will be covered in paint as well...
She mostly paints with her fingers and reaches a state of
trance while making her unique paintings. Annemieke usually
wakes up from her trance when she is hungry or thirsty and
then suddenly realizes hours have past by without her noticing
it. At that moment she discovers what she has actually
painted. Despite Annemieke’s desire to attend Hollands’
‘School of Arts’ at age seventeen, she never found herself
studying there because of her circumstances then.
Although she persuited a career as manager she never stopped
painting and followed many courses to improve and test her
painting skills. Some years ago she decided to permanently
change her life by choosing to be an artist after all. Since then
she has had many exhibitions and a great number of her
paintings are now owned by private art-lovers.

Barbara Brigitta Hardmeier
Ispiratore - Inspirator
Barbara Hardmeier , nata in Svizzera, ha studiato design
audiovisivo e dipinto all’Accademia Gerrit Rietveld ad
Amsterdam e si è laureata nel 1985. Ha partecipato a molte
mostre internazionali come la Biennale di Firenze nel 2007, la
Erenus Gallery ad Istanbul, la World Art Vision nel 2008 a
Cancun, in Messico, e la Erenus Gallery ad Ankara, Turchia. Ad
oggi, il suo lavoro è esposto in molte gallerie nei Paesi Bassi.
Il lavoro della Hardmeier è un documento dello scorrere del
tempo e incornicia il mondo naturale. Usa i materiali in modo
insolito e combina diversi stili per creare espressioni diverse di
un tema noto.
I suoi nuovi lavori contengono molte riflessioni, emozioni e
influenze fuse insieme nei collage.
Le atmosfere giocose e i colori rilassanti vi permettono di
sognare a occhi aperti, facendovi colpire ogni tanto dalle
parole.

Barbara Hardmeier , born in Switzerland studied audiovisual
design and painting at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in
Amsterdam, the Netherlands and graduated in 1985. She
participated different international exhibitions such as the
Florence biennale in Italy in 2007 ,Erenus Gallery in Istanbul,
Turkey. In 2008 the world art vision in Cancun, Mexico and
Erenus Gallery in Ankara. At this moment her work is showed
at several galleries’ in the Netherlands.
Hardmeier’s works are time documents and are of a trend
setting nature. She uses materials in an unusual way and
combines different styles to create another expression of the
same theme.
In her new work, are many reflections , emotions and
influences melted together in collages.
The playful atmosphere and the refreshing colours let you
dream away, sometimes you are hit by words.
