Dadey, Jr. Post Office Box 327 Jamesville, NY 13078 August 2, 2010 Dear fellow Republican committee friend: | trust you are enjoying the summer as Joan and | are with our daughters Erin (6), Regan (5) and Maeve (2). Like your kids and grandkids, they are growing up way too fast. Shortly after the September 14th primary, our party will hold an election for officers of the Onondaga County Republican Committee. | respectfully present you with my qualifications for the position of Chairman. | was born and raised in LaFayette and currently reside with my family on the Eastside of Syracuse, in the 17th Ward Democratic stronghold. | have been a committee person since 1992, served as a LaFayette Town Councilor and Deputy Supervisor, and as a Trustee and Past President of the LaFayette Board of Education. I've also had the honor to serve as the Town GOP Chair as well as a past member of the Executive and Finance Committees. And, | served for nearly a decade as a delegate of the NYS GOP committee. Last summer | decided to start my own independent insurance agency in Jamesville, which currently employs two ‘As you know, | ran for the NYS Senate (49th) in 2004. It was a tremendous honor to be endorsed by all four Republican Committees (Cayuga, Madison, Onondaga and Oneida), as well as the Conservative and Independence Parties. Although the outcome was not what my supporters and | had hoped, it was a valuable life experience for me. That being said, | have no regrets and no interest on dwelling in the past. We now have an exciting opportunity to discuss a vision and a plan for the future, a future | hope you will play a role in. It is my understanding that our current Chairman is seeking re-election. My longtime friend former Dewitt GOP Chair Len Manfrates has also expressed an interest in running. Others may or may not emerge, but | am convinced that a healthy debate will strengthen our party for the future.| believe my background in dealing with the media will be an asset when articulating our message to the public or at those times when an elected official of another party needs to be challenged. | believe my ability to raise money will further benefit the party. Through hard work and an ability to make the right contacts, I've raised more than a million dollars for various political causes, candidates and charitable organizations throughout Central New York. | believe my experience as a committee person and past town chairman will prove invaluable in building a grassroots organization that can take the fight to our opponents. | believe my knowledge and understanding of local governments can assist our elected officials with plans to modernize municipal entities. | believe my business experience will be an asset to the party. | have a plan to rebuild our Republican Party, but | can't do it without your help. We need to energize our youth with the wisdom and guidance of all of you. We need to articulate a message for our community that shows our ideas and principles will lead to growth, prosperity and freedom. We need to conduct a grassroots voter registration drive. We need to raise the necessary dollars to run an effective operation that can partner with the Town and City committees. We need to work together as a TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More). In short, we need to elect more Republicans! Our team of current elected Republican officials have the right ideals, principles and experience to lead us in these challenging economic times. We have strong leadership at the local, county and state level. And, | am optimistic that after November 2nd they'll have a partner in Congress. Like all of you, my family has endured personal and professional challenges. ‘Those life experiences have tested me but have rendered me ready to lead Enjoy the remaining days of summer. | welcome the opportunity to discuss the future of our party and my qualifications with you at anytime.
