Multi-Cultural History Living Museum Project

Three Choices

1. _____________________________________

2. _____________________________________

3. _____________________________________

Final Choice: ___________________________________________________________________

Think about all the historical figures that have contributed positively to our world. Pick out three
that you would like to learn more about. Write their names above.

During the week of January 9, we will make our final selections. No duplicates will be allowed.
Each student is required to research a different person. Once you have your final selection
confirmed by your teacher, you should begin researching your person; learn everything you can!
Once you have thoroughly researched and learned about your person, you will need to TYPE a
one-page presentation.

Your presentation should not be longer than a page (grade 5) and page (grade 4) and
include margins of 1 inch and size 12 font.

We will then be inviting our families and friends into our Multi-Cultural History Living Museum to
share these special people and their accomplishments. You will need to rehearse your
presentation and prepare either a costume or a prop. You will be graded both on your written
work as well as your costume or prop and your presentation.

To receive full credit on your written work it should be typed. It should be correct length (grade 5:
no longer than one-page, grade 4: no longer than page). It should be well written and easy to
read. It should be grammatically perfect and free from all spelling errors. It should be clear whom
you chose and contain great detail about her/his life and accomplishments.

To receive full credit on your presentation you must have a costume or a prop. You must be well
rehearsed. You may memorize or read from your notes. You must speak slowly, loudly, and clearly
and be easily understood. You must appear confident. You must convey to your audience who you
are and what you contributed to our world. Your presentation must be in the first person
using I (your essay may be written in third person example: her).

Your written essay is due on Friday, February 9, 2018.

The final date and time of the Living Museum: Friday, February 16, 2018 at 8:30 a.m.
