This claim arises in connection with a letter to Plaintiff New York City Couneil Member Ydanis Rodriguez, dated July 22, 2010, from the Counsel Office of the Committee on Standards and Ethics of the New York City Council, (hereinafter, “the Committee”) stating that it will hold a “closed-door” hearing (“hereinafier, “the public censure hearing”), excluding other Council members, the public and the media, on whether Plaintiff Council Member Ydanis Rodriguez should be publicly censured for anallegation that he “poked” a central City Council staffer between the throat and upper chest area ducing a budget discussion on June 25, 2010. 3. Plaintiff seeks an injunction requiring the Committee to hold the public censure hearing ~ a quasi judicial proceeding scheduled for July 27, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. ~in public. JURISDICTION 4.
